I needed compression leggings. There are two employees by the door doing nothing.
After they greet us, I asked for the leggings. One of them poited me to the women's section.
No help at all! Even when they were doing anything but talking to each other.
What a customer service 👏

Had a sign on front door saying they do not sell ammo to California residents. I’m a Nevada resident, and I never had to show ID to buy ammunition. Some California residents might want to shoot, hunt or train in Nevada. Nevada has a temporary ID too, for out of state folks. So this place is off my list. This store is taking it upon itself to enforce California gun/ammo laws? Crap place to buy anything anyway. Shop elsewhere.

I always come to this location for my sons football cleats and gear. The gentlemen helping with the shoes was very kind and helpful. However, when I went up front to make my purchase the associate (Sam) did not say one word to me; not a greeting, nor a smile, blunt, super unfriendly demeanor. Furthermore, she did not even bag my purchase. I felt bad for going back and asking for a bag. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've worked several jobs in customer service and I would never treat a customer that way, no matter how bad of a day I'm having. Sorry to say I will avoid this location at all cost as she was intimidating and made me feel uncomfortable. I do not want to take a chance on running into her again.

Some prices are just right, some are way high for subpar items. Do your research before you buy. Staff is super kind. This location sells guns. Seems odd in the middle of a city to buy a shotgun. Kayaks sold here are lifetime brand. Ok for small things but not the best and about 50 to 200 overpriced. Great place to get kids gear for the first time. After that they will want the best of the best and they don’t sell that here so 4 stars it is.

Went there to buy a tent and was treated like something they dug out of their ear. Didn't even try to be helpful just hostile. Especially the guy in sporting goods. This will bother me enormously and I'd love to know why I deserve d such terrible treatment. Leaving the store and the cashier on the phone with security, "He's leaving now." I'll never go back to that store.

I went into big 5 recently and I was just absolute shocked about how friendly the staff, was not only was i helped fairly quick but I also was helped and greeted with incredible customer service by Tailyn when getting my shoes he was an amazing help and he was able to make the exchange go smooth I definitely recommend anyone in the Henderson area to go to this big 5
