I have been going to this build a bear for years and have always adored each staff member! Unsure what this most recent review could be upset for as Ariye has always made a memorable experience for me and my family members! My nephew still brings her up to this day and always asks when we get to see her again ahaha (not great for my wallet). If you are looking for a fun and exciting time with a great group of people, this is always the go to for me :)

The trip started out great. Took my two nephews, one just turned 8, we were there for his birthday and the other is 3 on his very first trip to build a bear. First associate that helped my 8 year old nephew was amazing and very interactive with him while stuffing his bear. Second associate named Ariye was very rude and didn’t say anything to my 3 year old nephew. Little boy went from a huge smile waiting in line watching his brother get his bear stuffed to a very sad look when associate Ariye didn’t even acknowledge him. He stood quietly with a sad look getting two bears stuffed by an associate that clearly hates her job. We left with a total of five bears and outfits spending about $500 total. That single associate ruined this little boys magic of build a bear, what was supposed to be a very fun, happy, magical first experience at build a bear ended up with a very sad little boy.

I usually love Build-A-Bear. Every other time I’ve gone, I’ve left feeling happy, excited, and connected to my new plush. But this time was completely different—I left feeling stressed, disappointed, and heartbroken.
The prices were jacked up so much that I could barely choose a bear I wanted. There was a sale, but it wasn’t explained clearly—it only applied to a few bears, which made it really confusing. I was also told I could use store credit, but when I tried, I was told I couldn’t after all.
The staff made the experience even worse. Two of them were clearly stressed and rude, and one had a really bad attitude—loud, sharp, and angry. It felt like only one worker was actually happy to be there, and instead of making me feel welcome, I felt uncomfortable and rushed. To make matters worse, it suddenly got crowded during closing time, which made the chaos even worse.
Because of that, I didn’t even get to do the heart ceremony, which is usually the most special and memorable part. Instead of enjoying the experience, I felt ignored and pressured.
My frog was overstuffed so badly that it ripped, and instead of offering a new one, they just sewed it shut. My Kuromi was also stuffed wrong—she looked like a balloon—and they couldn’t even fix her, so I had to get a replacement.
What hurt me the most was losing something personal and special. I asked for one of my own scents to be put inside my bear, and when I asked the worker if it was in there, she said yes. Later I found out it wasn’t, and now it’s gone forever.
On top of everything, the sound chip in my Pawlette barely works, and when I asked to replace it with my own sound, they lied and said it had been “over a year,” even though I got her last December—not even a full year ago.
This trip was supposed to be magical like all my other visits, but instead it was stressful, disappointing, and upsetting. For the amount of money Build-A-Bear charges, I expected much better quality and customer service. I’ve never left feeling this disappointed before.

I had the pleasure of going to the Galleria BAB in celebration of my birthday yesterday and was greeted by the most awesome, host Tjuan and checked out by another pleasant and personable host, Frey. Each one of them made my experience at their BAB memorable. I am so happy that there are people like them working at a family friendly business such as BAB. The both of them were eager and willing to assist all customers, had a genuine enthusiasm with interacting with customers which they treated as guests and not just treating us as monetary customers. This experience greatly contributed to me having an awesome day for my birthday. Tjuan & Frey are incredibly awesome BAB hosts.

Although sometimes very crowded, this Build A Bear location never disappoints. My kids always walk away very happy with their new friends. They have a good selection, their staff is very friendly. Great stop while in the mall!

Came here today (April 9, 2025), to get my son’s birthday bear like we do every year. The guy working there today I believe is named Tyson was extremely unfriendly. Acted like he didn’t want to be there at all. I think he was training a new girl and she was more personable than him. You are working in a kid friendly environment. I came here all the time growing up and it just isn’t the same environment anymore.

I took my babies there for the birthday bear the blonde girl who helped us stuffthe bears was great but the other guy was not so great was really acting like he didn't even want to be there so kinda put a damper in our experience but otherwise it was nice lots of things to select from

This was our first time building a bear. The associate was BEYOND amazing!! I was completely surprised at how amazing he was with kids. He made it such a magical experience!!

The most wonderful experience ever! Stephanie was so sweet and made this such a special memorable experience . There were all types of plushies in stock and had a large selection to choose from & same goes for the clothes! Honestly a great price for a memory that will never die
