I had a recruiter from scotsdale Arizona give me an interview on Monday. Told me Ashlee the centers director would conduct my interview. Instead she passed the buck over to an education specialist to interview me. I wasn't given a fair interview as I have 28yrs lifetime experience. They rehired another co worker who quit like me. Why her? And not me. The recruiter gave up on me after calling texting and emailing her. They we not going to reconsider me. Kids need male figures too. I didn't see one male figure their?. Discrimination. I have more experience in my pinky finger and others have in their entire body! Oh well I guess it's their loss! So I move on..... I wish they could put themselves in our shoes. The employers. If they were treated this way, how would they feel??

I had the pleasure of entrusting my child to CLA. Explorer 3 (3yo) class under Ms. Darlene is exceptional. I appreciate Ms. Darlene’s dedication and passion to creating a nurturing environment where children thrive. It is evident in every interaction with my daughter. From engaging activities to personalized attention, Ms. Darlene goes above and beyond to ensure each child feels valued and supported. She has a positive attitude and has incredible patience. Her class is not just a class but a sanctuary of learning and creativity. Also, I appreciate that their front desk personnel is friendly and always smiling. It gives a pleasant impression. Furthermore, they never fail to greet us in the morning when we drop off our daughter and in the afternoon when we pick her up. Kudos!

Today during lunch, my child asked for utensils and was told by the teacher (!) that they “ran out and she just has to eat with her hands”! It was some kind of pasta dish. My five year old said it was three of them left without utensils and were forced to eat pasta scooping it into their mouths! It poses a serious health risk and it is violation of any and all sanitary norms. I asked where was teachers while they were eating and she said the teachers were walking around telling them to make bigger scoops. In which world is that acceptable? I immediately called the school and was told “they are looking into it”, then front desk lady told me it’s “he said, she said” situation and suggested my child was lying. So that’s the behaviour you can expect from Childrens Learning Adventure. I have zero expectations that they’ll actually do anything other than trying to cover up and blame kids so I'm filing formal complaint with The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health's Child Care Licensing Unit tomorrow and strongly encourage parents affected by that place do the same. The place itself is extremely disorganized, endless stream of teachers that disappear before you remember their names. Once the room was so cold , all kids were shivering. I asked why the temp is so low and was told the thermostat is controlled by the head office and the teachers cannot adjust it. Another time the teacher was hiding in the corner pressed against the wall texting on her phone while kids were running and screaming unsupervised. All these things were brought up to the front desk where the ladies sweetly smile and will tell you they will look into it. Needless to say, I cannot trust them with safety of my kid.

Revised 2/21/24 Only on the 5 th time of them giving my kids lollipops and candy did I finally flip out and cus them out to the point where they withdrew my kids because they couldn’t follow one request from me. The teachers, and staff are very nice and polite here. The only trouble I’ve had is that they dont listen to my allergy request and give my kids sugar without asking first, and I prefer not to pick up sugar hyped kids at the end of a long day. They leave a basket of suckers on the counter meaning the children see it, and beg for it the whole way out of the place. So you end up having to drag them kicking, or give in just to get them to the car. With dinner being the next stop on my trip I’d rather they just educate my kids and feed them healthy food. All of the food is ok quality from Costco so no real issues there. After a couple of requests they finally removed the sucker basket or at least try to hide it better. But it still shows up after a week of being hidden.I know its up to me to train my children that they dont get sweets every day but a little help would be appreciated. You must fill out a forum to have lotion applied to your child if they have dry skin, and supply the lotion which is fine. But they dont often do it. So whats the point? You also must sign a forum for a doctors Rx to be given which is fine, But you cannot get them to give over the counter drugs like Tylenol for a fever. Instead they make you leave work and come get them. My ex-nanny provided more of a service than this place and cost about the same. Especially when you consider all the lost wages having to take them home for Tylenol to cure teething. Most of the time they are getting sick from being around other kids at their school, so they could administer a little Tylenol at least. The sign in process is archaic with paper sign in sheets in binders. I ask why I have to do this, and they say that they will take it with them if they need to exit the building for a fire. So they’ll know who’s in attendance.Well if a fire breaks out it could start at the electrical socket at the front desk making this plan null. Of course if it starts in the back, the fire sprinklers are sure to ruin the paper sign in sheets if they aren’t grabbed quick enough before exiting. Ever heard of google docs? Lets try digital huh? I could go on about how the rooms have very poor air circulation at times and stink of stale air but you get the point. It’s good for the price I guess. Ive reached out to Stephanie McCormick the regional director with no reply twice.

Very caring and understanding care givers. Aside from some some issues of corporate not trickling down early closure days until the week of, we have no complaints.

I am deeply saddened to share my heartbreaking experience with CLA. Despite my initial hopes for improvement, I can no longer trust this daycare center with my children. The level of disorganization, inconsistency, and unexplained incidents has left me with no other choice. The constant rotation of new staff members within a short period since my children joined in May has raised concerns. From not properly feeding my child to the unexplained fabrications on daily reports, my trust has been shattered. The daily report sheets frequently contained blatant lies, and the explanations provided were often unsatisfactory, ranging from "I was at lunch" to "I wasn't in there at the time." The lack of communication and coordination between teachers is a major issue. Children are passed along with no clear direction, leaving parents like me worried about their care. One of my primary concerns is the ever-changing roster of teachers in my daughter's class, making it difficult to provide the continuity of care she requires due to her autism. Teachers seem to come and go as they please, resulting in frequent call-outs and even resignations. As a result, I can never get a clear answer about my child's day.CLA's focus on quantity over quality, both in terms of teachers and children enrolled, is causing immense stress and burnout among the staff. Incidents like my child being left sleeping for four hours despite their record showing otherwise or being left in soiled diapers highlight the inadequate care provided. Additionally, there was a disturbing incident involving an unexplained bruise on my child's face. The teachers noticed it at 4 p.m. but failed to inform me until I picked her up at 6:30 p.m., asking if I believed she had caused the bruise herself by holding her cheeks, which seems highly implausible.A critical concern is the unsanitary practices observed, such as changing my child's diaper without gloves and the presence of another child's feces in my child's diaper, which was initially denied by the staff. Incidents like these are not only unprofessional but also a severe breach of hygiene standards. Furthermore, a lack of supervision has led to dangerous situations, like a child wielding scissors, and teachers being oblivious to the risk.I wish to highlight that there are some exceptional teachers at CLA, but regrettably, their efforts are overshadowed by the pervasive issues within the center. The high teacher turnover rate is a testament to the challenges they face.In light of these concerns, I can no longer trust CLA with my children's well-being, and I urge other parents to consider their options carefully. The welfare and safety of our children should always be the top priority, and unfortunately, I no longer believe CLA can provide that. This review comes from a place of deep disappointment and a sincere hope for improvements in childcare standards and practices. As a parent, it is my responsibility to ensure my children are in a safe and nurturing environment, and CLA has failed to meet these essential criteria. The incidents I've described are just a fraction of the numerous problems I've encountered during my time with CLA. The lack of accountability, transparency, and basic childcare practices is a grave concern, and I hope my feedback serves as a wake-up call for necessary changes.

Pros: Flexible schedulingCons: Misappropriation - They charge you even when not providing services for example when school is closed a week or two for Easter/Christmas and they're not busing your children, or even when the daycare itself is closed half the week for Thanksgiving. They still charge your credit card the full week(s). Shady, shameless and unscrupulous.

The picture is beautiful, but there are a lot of children, they are divided into two shifts. Children are not given attention.

Parents do not send your children here. My son came home with a bruised lip and no one knows what happened. The teachers are extremely lazy and lack sense of urgency. I will be talking further action immediately.

Front desk ladies were very disrespectful and rude, the place smelled like urine, and they were very rude to the mother of a child that attended the school.

We’ve had the pleasure of being there for a couple of years and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better establishment to help our son grow. He was always excited to wake up and go there. The staff truly care about your child. Mrs.Janet is the best there is to prepare your child for school! Hoping to return with our youngest.

Wow. They will not give you simple information like tuition rates that should be a simple 2-minute conversation (if that) without making you come in for a tour, even when you are just comparison shopping. The lady became nasty when I asked a second time as well. This is such basic information. I guess they don't value clear communication. Well, just saved us the trouble of a lot of unpleasant (lack of) communication if I had gone with them I guess... There are plenty of other childcare options in the area. Again wow.
