Partner and I visited last night. The entire experience from the chocolate factory tour, gift shop, and botanical garden is really pretty and cute especially at night. We love this place! And the mint hot chocolate drink was incredible!

The cacti garden is really fun. The chocolate is great. Will take no more than an hour but it's a great stop.

From the moment you enter the store, you feel welcome. I was greeted with a warm smile, and I was thanked for stopping in. I bought a hot chocolate and I walked The Cactus garden.. If you want beautiful plants and tasty chocolate in one stop, this is your place! Lastly, you will spend at least $45 on the good stuff, so bring at least that target amount.

Went online and ordered a $60 SMALL box of candy and was asked at checkout what date I would like it delivered. I chose a date 3 weeks out, a week before Valentine’s day, as it was going to be a birthday gift.I was emailed a confirmation of the order, confirmation of delivery date, and the email stated I would receive the tracking number via email when the order shipped. Two days before the delivery date I chose I realized I never received an email with the tracking number. So I emailed customer service and received a robo response stating they would get back to me in 2 DAYS. So I called customer service, and when the phone was answered I could hear 5 or 6 employees in the background laughing loudly. I have the rep my order number and asked what the status of the order was. I was put on hold for over 20 min and then told the order was packed up and ‘ready to ship’, but no tracking number could be provided. Huh??!! It was CLEARLY just ‘packed and ready to ship’ AFTER I called to inquire about it, and when I asked if it was going to be shipped overnight so it would arrive on the date I requested 3 weeks prior, I was told they would do ‘their best’.The $60 box of candy still has not arrived 2 days later so I emailed them again to cancel the order and was told ‘okay’.Okay??? Wow, GREAT customer service. No apology for the incredible inconvenience, no apology for wasting my time online and on the phone ordering their overpriced chocolate, no acknowledging they NEVER would have even shipped the $60 candy I ordered unless I called to check on it, and then not acknowledging even though I called to find out the status and was told it would be shipped out immediately, it was still NOT shipped since they could cancel the order 2 days later.Do yourself a favor and buy your chocolates and gifts somewhere else. Somewhere that values customers, actually provides responsive customer service when a mistake is CLEARLY made by them, and then follows through with what they say they will do.NO offer at any time to try to make things right, no apology for wasting my time and money, nothing.Maybe if their employees spent less time laughing amoungst themselves and more time paying attention to pre paid customer orders they would have repeat customers instead of bad reviews. But apparently they could not care less.

Despite a bad experience a year ago, I have a good friend that likes the liquor filled chocolate here, so I gave Ethel M another chance despite my bad experience a year ago. BIG mistake. And there won't be another chance after this. Went online and ordered a $60 small box of candy and was asked upon checkout to specify a delivery date, which I did, 3 weeks in to the future. The order was confirmed via email as well as the delivery date. But the order was NEVER shipped. I called the day before the requested delivery date, was on hold for more than 20 min while employees in the background were shrieking with laughter, only to be told the order was JUST packed up (while I was on hold I assume) and would be shipped out but would not make my requested delivery date. I told them to just cancel the order then, to which they basically replied "okay!" WOW - GREAT customer service. No apology for wasting my time, my money, making it necessary for me to run out at the last minute to purchase a replacement birthday gift on my way to a celebration dinner, NOTHING. Go elsewhere for high priced chocolate. This place is a disorganized, unprofessional joke. Read the most recent (all low rated) reviews and decide for yourself ...

Their hot chocolate was absolutely delightful. You can observe the factory setup through the glass window, witnessing the functions of various components and the chocolate-making process. The steps are outlined on the glass pane.

I visited the ethel chocolate factory today and was excited to try their premium chocolate bars and also purchased 3 bars for around $22 and got a double hot chocolate. But when I got home and took a closer look at the ingredients of the chocolate bar, I was shocked to see low-quality and bioengineered ingredients used in their products. Considering the high price point, I expected much better. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and won't be returning to this factory again. It's surprising that even local businesses prioritize profits over quality. My bad that I should have checked before purchase

Ethel Ms provided a fantastic virtual gourmet chocolate tasting event for a work event.Great communication during the booking process, chocolatier Tammy French was so friendly, inviting and knowledgable. Not to mention the CHOCOLATE, nice array of flavors and soooo delicious, pumpkin and lemon were my favorite. Would also be a great way to connect with friends and family when distance is involved. Look forward to the next tasting

We went here in December to see the lights. We were there a couple days after Christmas, and the line probably took us about 40 minutes or so! If I could do it all over, I would have switched out with people in our group, having some people wait in line while others went to explore the store. Inside the store, they give you a free piece of chocolate and you can also look through the window at the factory, where people are working. Even in the late evening. They sell drinks like hot chocolate, and everything is overpriced of course, but very yummy. We bought two delicious and unique flavored chocolate bars ($8 each - ahh!), and also shared a hot chocolate. As for the lights in the cactus garden, it was way bigger than we expected, and therefore worth the wait. In the middle of the garden, there's actually a food truck sort of thing selling more hot chocolate and a few other items.

Ethel m's was a good stop. The tour is free and self guided although very short. If you look you can find some good budget chocolates; however, some seemed way overpriced. No worries though, you'll be given a free piece of chocolate once you get someone's attention. The cactus garden is a must stop with an amazing collection of cactus. We give the factory almost a perfect score only because sometimes staff can be busy as it's a busy place and some seemed distracted even when not helping customers. Overall, a solid stop though and good place to visit.Parking: Parking was free and pretty close.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a family stop and take a family photo in front of the chocolate wall.

Went to Ethel M for their 30th Annual Holiday Cactus Garden Lights and it was incredible. The staff at the gift shop were incredibly kind and accommodating and so professional. Explained the operating hours when we arrived to stay in line for the christmas lights and that they would be closing at 8pm on Christmas Eve. We got chocolates, hot chocolate and cupcakes beforehand standing in line which went very quickly and all staff from inside to security outside were incredible. Highly recommend to go. We got a lovely chocolate when entering the factory as well. Absolutely stunning and we felt really looked after.Halfway through the gardens they also had a food truck with the drinks and sitting area in case you went to the garden first instead of gift shop
