Good Morning, I had an unpaid fee with CSN which in turn went to my credit report twice as a collection. I continuously made payments on the debt and had setup a payment plan with Lara Itzel. When I contacted the college about it they made countless excuses about how they can't do anything about it. Furthermore after making a payment on November 3rd they failed to report that to the collection agency which in turn put a derogatory report on my credit. I'm active duty military and have been moving around my entire career and their excuse was we tried sending it to the address on file which was my address from when I was 18 years old. They made no effort to call, Lara Itzel made no efforts to email me even though she had emailed me prior to arrange the payment plan and now my credit has a negative remark on it because the CSN Cashiers Office and Financial Aid staff can't do their job that they get paid for. I could only imagine where I'd be if I didn't do mine.

It is a terrible experience overall. Nothing like it was almost a decade ago. DRC not helpful. Multiple departments you will contact where you will also not receive any help. You are working with professors who are receiving terrible online reviews in the masses. The biggest challenge is this college will be why families stay in poverty. They make it nearly impossible to meet your educational and academic goals before you even walk in the door.

Please get your books delivered to you and go to a different CSN bookstore. Phone calls aren't picked up and hours aren't updated. I drove 20 miles on the last refund day because I work full time and got there at 4:08 assuming it was fine since hours state they close at 5, but there is a piece of paper that says they close at 4pm but no change online. The place also just smells like the employee's food.

Honestly nevada education couldn't be worse if they tried and this school shows it. Impossible to get a response, impossible to transfer transcripts, teacher will ruin your grade based on politics nothing is objective ever. Just run away from college in nevada.

I think the fact that they have the B-Building study room LOCKED and refuse to open it during finals week speaks volumes about how much they care about their students. When asked if there was another study room near by I was told I could "sit in a chair" in the hall way. I wouldn't come here if I didn't have to. This college doesn't care about its students at all.

Literally the blind leading the blind in CSN's financial aid office. I applied for a private student loan through Sallie Mae and was approved for $30,000 to cover the cost of my flight training while enrolled in CSN's aviation program. When it was sent to CSN for certification, CSN certified the loan for $13,000, a fraction of the true cost of flight training. I was told that CSN does not cover the cost of the hours need to gain a commercial pilot's certificate, which makes absolutely no sense to me. Anyway, I thought I'd take the $13k to help and was wrong again. Sallie Mae claims they sent the funds in nearly 2 months ago, at the time of this writing. I've called CSN's financial aid office and have made multiple trips to CSN's financial aid office asking where the funds are at. No surprise, I get a different answer every time. Sallie Mae has been sending me statements indicating the interest I have accrued on a loan that I was never given. Tried explaining this to financial aid, and the woman over the phone got very rude with me, as most people do when they try to give you an answer and don't know what their talking about. It's no wonder why CSN's dropout rate is so high. It has nothing to do with students ambitions or motivations, it has everything to do with CSN's lack of accountability and competence.

If you think about going here AVOID seeing the academic advisor MARTHA PANDURO. The amount of unprofessional behavior from this person is atrocious. She's rude condescending, disrespectful, and won't help you. She will talk over you and constantly cut you off. If you have to see an advisor request someone else and avoid her at all cost. I've seen all these bad reviews on here and now I understand why by the people they employ here. They need to do a clean house and get rid of people who don't want to be there to help students including her. Absolute trash.

I'm writing this review as I wait for my diploma to show up in my mailbox. I'm happy to say that I graduated this summer with my associate's in Criminal Justice! My parents wanted me to go to CSN first so that they could save money before I transferred over to UNLV. It took me 7 years to finish at CSN due to scheduling conflicts with my job and my struggle with math (despite struggling, I still passed!). I was at this campus primarily because it's the one closest to my house. They were late on processing my graduation application, however. Back in March I had made a virtual appointment with a counselor to discuss my final semester and the final classes I had to take to complete my degree (because of COVID they weren't taking in person appointments at the time). The counselor told me to apply for summer 2021 graduation right after enrolling into my final classes, which I had did. When I checked my graduation status in MyCSN soon after the application deadline closed, it said 'not applied'. I was confused, as I thought the application didn't go through or maybe I applied too early. I emailed the graduation team about this and got a response back about two weeks later, saying that the issue was resolved and that my application was under review. It was accepted a few days later. My diploma was mailed on 9/20/21. Commencement for summer and fall 2021 graduates, along with spring 2022 graduates, is set to take place on 5/16/22. I am the second person in my family (behind my mother) to hold a college degree. It was a long journey to get where I am today, and I'm very happy how everything turned out. My next chapter awaits as I'll be applying to UNLV for fall 2022 soon.

You can go inside or order online and do curbside pickup.

If I could leave a zero start review I would. The staff at CSN need to be replaced with people who are kind and are willing to help. Especially the staff in Henderson. I have received multiple wrong information that lead me to spending more money I didn't need to. Either train your staff better or replace them.

This school is such a joke! Cheap prices for classes sure but so completely unhelpful! I have been calling since September to make sure I could get financial aid for the Spring and they always have me a different amount or the run around. Fast forward to two weeks ago I call again to ask why my FA was not showing up they say they're going to put a ticket in for help and it should take about 5 business days to hear back. Never heard from them. Finally classes start next week and still no FA on my account! So I decide to drop some classes so I can pay out of pocket, silly me for thinking it'd be that easy! I call cashiering your ask why I cannot sign up for a payment plan, get told that I don't meet the minimum amount for a payment plan and I have to pay in full or get my classes dropped... I explained to her how the school has been giving me the run around about my financial aid for MONTHS so I didn't have all the money to just pull out my a** for the class last minute. She all but tells me she doesn't care and apparently they do this to a lot of students and either they come up with money from a tree or get their classes dropped. Horrible. Horrible school and horrible system and horrible communication.

Walked in and not one person greeted, Not one person offered to help either . I was standing in line for about 5 min apparently not in the correct place, I didn’t see the small lettering that says “please wait here” this girl with short blue hair was helping out someone , I know she saw me and didn’t even bother to look up and say hey by the way the line starts over there. A new cashier comes to the register and asks me if I’m with the other person who is being taken care of , I said no. She then says oh the line starts over there. Great, so now I have to wait about another 5 minutes so she can ring up someone else. There was a guy sitting behind a computer and didn’t bother to say anything either. I guess I was just invisible. Customer service does not exist anymore.
