Update** (review changed from 1 star to 3 stars) I'm grateful to say that Silver State made an attempt to correct things with me. I will give credit where due and I did end up leaving at least satisfied this time and not upset that I had been screwed by yet another car repair shop. Just a couple hours after I left I was contacted and offered a re-evaluation on my reported issues. They had found a reset/safety button that could correct the auto roll-up issue to my window and that my car happened to be the only one of 5 diff. models to have that "auto" feature, they learned. I was also offered the topping off of my refrigerant for the AC, both of which were done and had me back home in less than an hour. I understand when they say the two systems (coolant hose repair and AC) are not connected in any way to have affected one another, so that part still doesn't make me feel better, but I am grateful that they tried to keep a customer after all and tried to remedy this situation immediately, so I hope that all customers will get this kind of care. I really did have hopes to staying with this company long term and I'm glad to be able to say I can now after this effort on their part. Original review: I really thought I had found the reliable car shop that everyone is always looking for with Silver State. I've done multiple repairs and oil changes here & wanted this to be my go-to spot. Until this latest repair... I had taken my car in to get a fix done that THEY diagnosed me needed to be fixed (coolant hose leak repair), got it done last Friday, then notice that my AC all of a sudden stopped working the next day, & my auto roll up feature on the driver window stopped working. Being as this shop is closed on the weekends, I called first thing Monday morning asking them to look at it. I took my car in right away (8:30a even, shop opened at 8am). Not even 30 mins later, and they had my car back outside and didn't fix ANYTHING! Apparently, the car I've had for more than 6 years and used that roll-up feature EVERY SINGLE DAY "has never had an auto roll-up feature on any windows" and that the AC not working had nothing to do with this last repair. How does an issue arise the day AFTER a repair was done suddenly have nothing to do with what they fixed?! I know I can't be the only one to experience this. I am super disappointed & hurt that this is how they chose to care for what was going to be a long time reliable customer as I literally told them on Friday that I wanted to keep this car forever and keep up with any repairs and that I'll "see you guys next time. "

I've been in Las Vegas for 6 years and was taking my Saab (after a recommendation) to a different company. They just changed hands and after a recent visit I discovered some of their mechanics left and they couldn't fix my Saab. A friend recommended Silver State and I looked at the Yelp reviews and gave them a call. Ty was so kind when I initially called and decided to take my car in yesterday to be looked over. I waited for my car and Ty would share the mechanics notes with me so I knew what was happening. They found a couple of issues (which I expected as my car was not running so well), the cost to fix was reasonable so I had them do their magic. My 2008 Saab is running like it is brand new. Everyone was great there. My new "go to" for my cars doctor needs.

The reviews are right. Definitely 5 star service! Customer service is top-notch! Car works great! Price is good! Changed my oil and my transmission fluid in a few hours. Thank you for your awesome customer service! P.S. They have a Christmas tree up that has decorations of Little Red Trucks hauling a Christmas tree.

I went to place because of the ratings. This place is legit. Very friendly staff. They don't try to rush you out of there. Answered all my questions. Had to get the throttle body replaced and they installed a new one the next day. Car runs perfect. Pricing was good. Staff was not pushy about other issues but it was nice to know they inspect other issues. I will be coming back to place for future repairs.

My car's underbody had got hooked onto a parking hump which left the underbody dangling, creating unpleasant noises as air flew under while driving. Took my car over to Silver State and had a great experience with Tyson who understood my concerns and offered to reattach the underbody back onto the car with no hassles. Tyson was very enthusiastic, personable, and honest with me throughout the visit. The work performed was excellent and the underbody appeared as if nothing had occurred. I'll definitely consider taking my vehicle over to Silver State for other repairs/labor in the future based on my positive experience.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I thank silver state so much for helping us with our van. Even though they weren't able to figure out what needed to be fixed on the car they really did try their best. They gave us recommendations on where to take the van to get it looked at and they also gave us a discount on our bill. They are very thorough here and extremely helpful. We even called a few times after we picked up the car and they were happy to help us with all of our questions! Couldn't have asked for more! This shop is truly amazing and so are the staff members!

I bring my car here and have been since purchasing my most recent car from my credit union. This is where they had it serviced and I decided to give them a try. I had a great experience and have been returning ever since. Staff here is trustworthy and reliable. I can trust them to tell me the things I actually need and what maintenance will be coming down the pipeline so I can budget for it. I feel valued as a customer. I've had numerous experiences with Ty and Tyson and both are good people also. Highly recommend this small family business.
