New to Vegas so new to Smiths, have shopped there a couple of times, prices seem to be on par with other predominant chains. The pharmacy is on point and staff are very helpfull.

I felt compelled to share my experience after what happened yesterday here at this location. It was a frustrating and hurtful encounter that left me pissed off! My girlfriend even called corporate to report the discrimination that I faced.
I went in for some tequila and had my younger sister and girlfriend with me. My girlfriend was somewhere else in the store when my sister (17)and I went to the self check out. Mind you, my sister is not even fully developed and is actually small for her age. I had my ID out, California & Nevada since I’m a dual resident due to my job. The worker was really condescending and wanted both of our IDs. After going back and forth with the lady it started to be a scene at the self check out like I need that. Could have went anywhere else! I informed her my sister doesn’t have an ID because she’s a minor. The worker proceeded to say well I need both of your IDs. I NEVER had this issue before here or honestly anywhere else when I come in with my step children, especially the one being the same age as my sister. The worker grabbed the manager Dawn who was even more condescending asking me if I just moved here. After speaking to corporate that’s not even in the store policy. As long as someone has a valid ID they can make a purchase of alcohol. I even sent my light friend in there with her kid to see if she would have the same issue but she didn’t. This was first hand discrimination and I will have this escalated as I deal with these type of claims daily at work. It’s not okay and Dawn should be moved back down if she doesn’t even know her own store’s policy…. My sister didn’t start recording until the end so unfortunately I don’t have the full encounter on video.

It's always nice to find a local grocery store where the people that work there are friendly, remember who you are, and are helpful. Smith's is my go-to grocery store.

I have gone to several stores looking for Haagen-Dazs peppermint bark ice cream, there and behold Smith's had it.
