We used Alpine Self-Storage for a one way U-Haul rental to Cashmere, Washington. The 26' truck was ready for us Monday morning as they said it would be. It was clean and ready to go. Josh and Richard answered all my questions, adjusted the mirrors, gave us an extra day and extra milage to complete the move. This allowed me to visit my daughter and family on the way up.The truck itself had plenty of power, and the communication between engine and transmission was excellent. But the ride of the truck was very rough. It maybe we did not have enough weight in the truck to allow the suspension to work properly, but a kidney belt would be in order next time. If you want to drink while driving, wear a bib. The seat was comfortable, and the brakes were quite good, not overly sensitive. The steering tended toward oversteer, which took some getting used to. We thought we had packed well, but wherever two surfaces touched, there was wear. Did I mention the rough ride? Think of a hard tail Harley with 60 pounds of air in the rear tire.I returned the truck this afternoon, not needing the extra day, and the local U-Haul was equally accommodating. The overall experience was very good, but I sure am glad that part of the move is over. So is my body.

Smooth, efficient and friendly service from start to finish at Alpine Storage. Josh and David were very helpful in all regards. I rented a storage unit for a couple of months while doing work in my garage.

Wife used my truck to help a friend unload a storage unit. As soon as they opened the unit roll up door, roof unloaded massive amount of snow which came close to hurting or killing them and destroyed my truck. Alpine refused all responsibility.

Thought they deserved a good review. We had reserved a uhaul trailer and when we got there, fou d out that Uhaul failed to call us to tell us it was not available at this facility. The office guys were super helpful and the manager even called the Reno facility to make sure they had the trailer and that they would allow us more time to get there. 5 starts for the office workers. Uhaul... well that's a whole different business!

So disappointing. Talked with them over several months regarding a date to start the waiting list. Showed up and was number one. Was assured each month that I checked in that we were on the top of the list. Now is the time for movement and suddenly were are told there are 5 people ahead of us. Incline is a small community and usually a pleasure to do business in. I don't know if they are incompetent or dishonest. Stay away.

I have never used the storage facility but I have used the Uhaul services a few times now for truck rental, boxes, dolly rental, etc. One would think that simple transactions like that would go smoothly. Each time, I have had a terrible experience. Last week, I rented an appliance dolly to move a washer and dryer. They had several brand new looking, orange Uhaul appliance dollies and two blue ones, which looked old and beat up. They issued me a blue one, saying that the orange ones were for Uhaul customers. Why I couldn't be treated as a Uhaul customer, I'm not sure and it was not explained to me. The straps on the dolly were torn in several places and did not lock down properly. We found this out when we almost dropped the $1000 washer off of the truck. We basically ditched the dolly and carried the washer in by hand at our destination. Today, we are in the middle of packing for a move. We went to purchase a few extra boxes, assuming they would allow us to return what we don't use, the same as Uhaul or Home Depot. Nope, not the case. No refunds on unused boxes and the boxes are significantly more expensive than at a Uhaul facility. We were told that we could drive to Carson or Reno if we didn't like their policy. Next time, I most certainly will. Becuase of this, we decided to buy only two large boxes. I let the employee know that I was displeased about the dolly rental from the other day and suggested he give us the two boxes for free to make up for our bad experience. He was unwilling to make it right. I would not recommend anybody do business here if it's avoidable. Unfortunately, it often isn't, and I think their management knows it.

Guy on the phone was nice, but some how we kept missing each other's calls, or he was not in the office when I would come by even during posted business hours. Just didn't work out for me.
