I would throw in my hat with the negative review crowd here. This practice uses deceptive billing techniques. The receptionists try to sneakily upsell you into higher, hidden costs. The doctor himself is not especially friendly and his skills are solidly average.

Dr. Brooker and his amazing staff are ALWAYS on top of everything. From the second you walk in the door the staff is doing what they need to to make sure your appointment goes well. And Dr. Brooker is THE BEST optometrist i've had in the 8 years i have been going to an eye doctor. I've been a patient at Advanced Vision Institute for about 3-4 years now and i am not changing to another optometrist any time soon.Mahalo Dr. Brooker and Staff for an amazing job.

I’d strongly recommend Dr. Brooker and his medical staff here at his practice. He’s very detailed when it comes to addressing my mothers concerns. He explains conditions well. Highly recommend him!

In a nutshell, I'm thrilled I found this practice. All the pros- staff friendly and efficient, office modern and clean, min wait time, Dr. Is compassionate, knowledgeable, and spent extra time with me as a new patient. Cons- eye glass selection is blah

Doctor and staff are nice. I made three pairs of glassed recently. First pair they made it incorrectly. 2nd pair prescription is wrong. 3rd pair they made it right. All three pairs took one month unlike they said two weeks. And the office is often closed without notice.

I've been coming to this place for years and years loved the atmosphere but then they kept rescheduling my appointment because the doctor wasn't in for whatever reasons then finally I get to actually go and waited for half an hour to finally be called to sign some things (there was a couple ahead of me) they know me well and the insurance I have which is important and for some reason it didn't occur to them to tell me they no longer accept my insurance while I sat there waiting like a dumbass. Not there in person, in emails or in the calls of everytime it got rescheduled. If I had the money for it I definitely wouldn't have minded but it's the fact they didn't say a thing until I was asked to sign about the fees and that is insane on its own the overall appointment without getting contacts or glasses would've been 120-140 ??? The only thanks I give is for the waste of time.

Called to receive a copy of my prescription. I was put on hold immediately and patiently waited. I asked to receive a copy of my prescription via e-mail (a simple request) and she never sent it to me. Now they don't open until 9am Tuesday morning when I needed it this week. I have had issues in the past for simple requests as well but they never follow through... If I pay for exams and contacts, the least they could do is provide SOMETHING. I'm done with this place. What happened to customer service?

I would strongly suggest not coming here If you care to see, they let me go a whole year with the wrong prescription. It has been horrible for me not being able to see for the past year. Then I found a new doctor this year and he is amazing and my prescription from this doctor was completely off, no wonder I can't see. Will never come back here ever again. Not to mention they take forever with your appointment a one hour session turns into three hours. Horrible place and would not recommend.

Been going here for a few years. The doctors and staff are nice and helpful. Special shout out to David, the glasses tech. My glasses were loose and broken and he did everything he can to fix them. I went into the office randomly with broken glasses and came out of the office with fixed glasses. That’s what I’m talking about David. You rock !!!

Dr. Booker is the best. I've been seeing him for years. He ALWAYS remembers me and my son. He also hires the friendliest and most helpful staff you could ask for. I will continue to see him until he retires, unless one of his kids takes over.

I've been a patient of Dr. Booker since 2015. I've always had a wonderful experience each time. Dr. Booker is very personable and I highly recommend his practice.

I have an auto-immune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome, diagnosed 5 years ago in Colorado.I have been to several Optometrists and 2 Opthalmologists regarding my severe dry eye; eye drops, steroid drops, ulcer on my cornea, gels at night, infections, antibiotics, moist heat eye patches morning and night, plugs, changing eye glass prescriptions....absolutely miserable and no way to live.I had an Optometrist here for the year that I have lived here, and she could not help me. She couldn't even recommend an eye specialist for me to see!By the Grace of God, He landed me at Dr. Brooker's Advanced Vision Institute! What a blessing Dr. Brooker has been. He is brilliant, caring, patient, and The Dr. to help you gain back your quality of life. He has done more for me with options to alleviate my severe eye condition, than even the Best in Colorado. Nevada, I am learning, is in general, not the greatest in medical care.I highly recommend!! Note: He changed my glasses prescription and for the first time in years, I can see clearly!!

I'm being generous to give this clinic 1 star. I'm very disappointed with their service, made me pay a co- pay, for the miscommunication between their staff. When I get my glasses it was not even focus and clear. This clinic needs a big help. A definitely not to go clinic.

BEWARE: BAIT, GOUGE, AND UPSELL. I bought a Groupon for $59 for an eye exam. I thought the exam included a detailed examination of the inner eye. Not. I had to pay $39 extra for that as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. Booker discovered blepharitis, a common infection of the eyelid. Dr. Booker charged me $185 for the examination he did for the blepharitis and some OTC medicines. He did not tell me I could cure the disease on my own using a simple procedure, baby shampoo, and a topical OTC antibiotic. When I left, I FELT I WAS ROBBED. Notice they have you pay the $39 for the inner eye exam upfront seemingly in hope you will forget about it when they hit you with the huge charge before you leave. In addition, it has been nearly 3 weeks and they still have not given me a detailed list of the charges.
