I recently moved to Las Vegas from Florida. I was very anxious about finding a new HIV provider in a new city. I was an executive leader at a very large HIV/Infectious disease clinic that was prominent in Florida. When I got here I was familiar with AHF and the work they do. I had not had great experiences with AHF in Florida. However I was gonna give it a try as resources in Las Vegas are not as available to the same extent as Florida. I can honestly say, what a INCREDIBLE team AHF on Maryland has. First off, how quickly I was able to be seen was outstanding! When I met my provider, Brooke, she was engaging and listened to my needs and where I was at on my journey to great health! She fights for her patients to get the care they need. She is educated, informed, competent and thorough! She’s also has a great sense of humor. Brook tackled some hurdles for getting my meds that I needed flawlessly and never grateful for her!
The MAs are so sweet and patient as well as the nursing staff! The lab is beyond efficient. The front desk ladies are so kind and keep this ship running smoothly. I have been about 8 or so visits. The provider and staff are always ON TIME and I have never seen them be behind or late all while providing above amazing care that is comprehensive and cutting edge!
AHF has made me feel safe and welcome and cared about. You are not a number here… They know you by name!
If you are looking are PREP or HIV care. Look no further! Book you appointment today!

They said they take my insurance sadly not exactly true. My cost at the pharmacy is extremely high they don’t use the mail order Cigna insurance wants now my blood work cost are not covered they are being deemed “medically unnecessary “ by insurance same thing with tests at a Radiology center. They might be good if you don’t have insurance but there not for me.Left several messages not one return call. Not acceptable

The staff is always friendly and very professional. I have been receiving services from this agency for years in several different cities and in all of them I have had the best experience.

No returned calls at all, didn't really understand how my my insurance works . I'd recommend looking elsewhere for care.

I have been going to this place for over 4 years, they have been nothing but Forward an kind me to, my experience has been nothing but positive visits. Although I get time to time phlebotomist who kinda leave a soar on your arm for a few days after a blood draw, rarely happens but when it does be prepared for that 5 days of arm ache which in currently going threw. Hurts pretty bad. Over all experience here is what you get but 100% will come back all the ladies are so wondeful an a great clinic for the LGBTQ community an yes yall straight ones too lol

This facility is FAR superior to University Medical Centers "Wellness Center" (sorry Jerry). The staff is warm, friendly and inviting. They only treat patients with one particular condition and they have been doing so for decades now. They have an amazing source of patient resources. The location is easy to reach and has a pharmacy in house. It's a one stop shop for all your health needs. Highly recommend.

I have had my regular testing done at this AHF location multiple times. This is a completely free service - even if you end up needing treatment for an STD/STI, it will be free! The staff is very nice as well. I would like to mention that you have to get there about an hour before they first open their doors in order to get a number (they have a very limited number of spots), then they give you a specific time to come back later in the day to actually be tested. I went to an AHF in Los Angeles, and they had a much bigger building with more staff, so it didn't work this way. If you went, you would be treated. When AHF is able to, I think they should allocate more resources to the Las Vegas location so that more people can be treated & things aren't so confusing. I was turned away the first couple of times I went bc it wasn't made clear anywhere that you have to get there early. But, again, this service is FREE. The fact they offer this at all is incredible and I really appreciate all the staff's contributions. Hence, 5 stars. Anyone giving them 1 or 2 stars for the issues I mentioned above needs to realize that this a nonprofit service that HAS limited resources in vegas because IT IS FREE. Like.. lawd lol.

this place is very friendly and professional. i am appreciate that i got free tests. i feel very saftey. place is very clean too. only thing i would say negative they give your spot from 3pm. they ask you to come back later. i had to come back 7:45pm but no wait time so which is good it just little inconvinience that i have to come back twice. but it's free so can't complain. thank you for your business!

I can't believe people can complain about a free testing center where most of these people are just volunteering. They've always been nice and professional to me, a great place to come and get a healthy check up!

Here's the deal; If I come here at the time that YOUR REPS requests us to come but we aren't told where to wait, then we go down stairs & then come back up at 3P and be told to practice social distancing at the last minute w/no empathy WHAT SO EVER, there's some serious etiquette you all must learn. All it takes is you explain everything in detail. I can't wait till The Center opens back up cause they know how to treat people!
