I just had the most AMAZING experience at Albertsons, and it came straight from the dairy aisle. A gentleman named Moses (yes, you read that right, MOSES) literally parted the Red Sea of hopeless grocery shopping for me today.
Here’s the miracle: I was standing there, staring into the abyss of empty shelves, silently questioning all my life choices, when Moses walked up to me (without me asking!) and said, “Can I help you?”
Wait… pause. When was the last time ANYBODY walked up to you in a store and offered help without you chasing them down like you’re on an episode of Survivor? Exactly. It doesn’t happen.
But Moses did. And when I asked him why, he said, “My mother always told me to help other people and be kind.” Excuse me? Can we all give his mother a standing ovation right now? 🫡👏👏👏
This one act of kindness brought me to tears. And honestly, in a time when it feels like kindness has been declared extinct (thanks to the Trump-era masterclass in how to normalize hate and disrespect), Moses came through with the golden rule like it was still in style: Love your neighbor. Do unto others.
Today, Moses gave me something I didn’t know I was missing — a piece of humanity. And in a dairy aisle, no less. 🥛
Albertsons, please protect Moses at all costs. Promote him. Clone him. Build a statue. At the very least, name a milk brand after him: “Moses’ Kindness 2%.”

While on the chip aisle there were two white males stocking merchandise. They were heatedly discussing customers and complaining about customer questions and cursing and laughing. One of the comments 1 male made was the nerve of a customer concerned about the expiration date on a product. Imo- vent about customers away from customers. Also where do these men buy their own groceries where there is not a concern over the expiration date or do their mom's or wives buy the groceries? Do they own money trees that produce so much that product expiration dates mean so little to them? Strange times...

Drive up and go order was completely wrong. Items were substituted when I selected “no substitutions” on it. And over $20 of my order was missing even though I was charged for all of it.

Is the deli closed at 4 in the afternoon on a weekday? I guess it had to be. Stood there for five minutes. Two guys back there. One working. The other talking to him. Both of them looked right at me. More than once. I finally walked away and bought prepackaged lunch meat. Tuesday 7-23 4pm.

Albertson's, Vons, Smiths. Same ownership... What's the difference? Well, Albertsons has the highest prices. But Mary in the Village Trail Albertsons Pharmacy is an unsung hero!
