“You can definitely get lost looking through all the aisles, We went looking for craft supplies. My daughter is making valentine roses for friends and got more than we needed. I enjoyed viewing the products and home decor.???”
“Went to get some art supplies. The prices online were much cheaper than in store. But that doesn't account for shipping so I guess it all comes out the same. The employees are very helpful. They have a lot of supplies to choose from.”
“I was looking for a specific fabric and the only place I could find it was on-line. Hobby Lobby had it for the same price as I found on-line. Fabric was discounted 30% so I saved money as well.”
“Super cool place, a tad bit overwhelming though so give yourself plenty of time to look around! They literally have a stamp for everything you could ever want from different dogs and cats, frogs, hobbies, and even Santa bending over to pick a gift with a puff of air coming out his rear end (lol)”
“It's Christmas and everybody and his brother is shopping for crafty stuff and decor. Lines for days so patience this time of year will get you through. That and scrolling on Insta is a life saver. Merry Christmas!!”
“I was wanting to do a special scrapbook for my daughter’s 21st after we spent it in Las Vegas. I was struggling with finding the right paper and remembered seeing this place. I was able to find exactly what I wanted. Prices were good and the products got delivered quicker than I expected.”
“Has a large variety of jewelry designing supplies, seed beads, delicate, multi hole beads, gemstone beads, metal charms, beads, stringing, findings, patterns and way more.”
“I go to this art store because it's well pretty stocked and it's near where I live, other art stores are too far away.
I go in Desert Art Supplies at this location at Charleston near Eastern pretty often, maybe once every other month, sometimes once a month. If I had more money, I'd visit there a lot more frequently.
I know James, Hi, and Ty and they know me ( as a customer) . I like coming here and showing face and James throws in a few extras for me because he knows I frequent here often. Friendly staff, they're not too talkative but they will talk small talk if you engage and I had a beef with one of them once over taking back some varnish that was sitting there too long and it ruined my painting.... They pointed to a sign high up above my head ( I'll admit I'm short), saying all sales final without a receipt and needs to be in resale condition) I had my receipt and eventually I think I remember they relented and did the exchange or refund, idk, but anyways we're good now. :)
Prices are higher than you would find than in a Dick Blicks or Michael's, but that's to be expected in more of a mom and pop sort of store like this one is. ( I know they have another location, too, but I think the company is rather small, if I'm not mistaken).
If you want molds, resin, pastels , clay, inks, of course all your different paints, although if you want liquitex soft acrylics in the squat squeeze bottles, go to Dick Blicks on Charleston for a better selection. Otherwise, they have I think all the Golden artist acrylics you'll ever need and also liquitex mediums and varnishes-- sorta pricey but this place is a convenient place to go if you need to go for a quick art supplies run.”
