i tried looking for moby dick by herman melville, and as soon as i saw the spine, i picked it out with excitement only to find this torn up, shredded book… how do the workers still accept this on the sales floor??
each time i step foot into this store, it’s always so loud with people talking loudly and a random noise coming from the toy section. this is a bookstore, people should respect books AND the decency to be quiet as others shop and read.

Older Bald Guy with a beard at the cashier stand has cut me off and dismissed me 3 different times. I understand dealing with people is stressful. You can’t expect everyone to smile and be nice all day everyday. This 3 times in a row within the span of a month. Please listen engage and respect! Overall great and clean location. Patron for years.

Do they realize that they sell books? Books are heavy, and little metal handbaskets full of books hurt your hands! Please get plastic wheelie baskets.
Also, there should be tables throughout that you can sit down and look through a book or rearrange them in the stupid little handbasket... or at least place to put them down and give your hands a rest.
All of the books are overpriced. Every one I was going to buy, I found way cheaper on Amazon.
I do love their cute little gifts in a tiny box, but I'm quite sick of the way the rest of the store is maintained.

The checkout cashier was less than helpful. He asked me to find a “membership confirmation email” but I misunderstood his question - rather than re-explaining he just let me struggle while saying loudly to the guest behind me “sorry for the long wait.” It was embarrassing and I apologized. I will buy books elsewhere next time. I hate being a nuisance and making others wait.

Checkout was fast. One thing I noticed that was different from the B&Ns back home, there’s no bean bag section to sit and “free read” or read your purchased item. But other than that, I’ll return to this location.

It has different type of books. They can order for you and deliver to your address. You can get a drink if you buy Manga. Business and self development books have limited discount.

Always my favorite place to have an afternoon break. So many books to search out and lovely notions and writing and small pouches. And a comfortable place to grab a drink and a sandwich or goodie while you read or visit with a friend. For many years this has been my go to place for a few (many) moments of peace and joy.
