I would give negative stars if I could. I scheduled my lip blush touch up and Karla - Brows by Bonni never showed up. She didn't even have the professionalism to call and cancel. It was important to do the touch up since the original lip blushing turned out uneven and blotchy. I am aware that this can happen with the first session so I was prepared for the touch up. Some key elements I recognized during the first and only session 1) She never sanitized my lips prior to numbing then starting the process. 2) The numbing cream she used was in effective. Within 15 minutes of starting the process I felt every stroke of the needle. 3) She provided me with the brow after care instruction, I had my lips blushed. She later text me the lip care after I tasked her. 4) Very limited color selection although I am not dissatisfied with the color I may have chosen a different one. So now I am on the search for a professional lip blushing expert that can correct this color mess.

Bonnie has been rated highly from a ⭐️ 5 star since we made the appointment. She was able to accomodate me and my mothers appointments at our request. She has squeeze us in her schedule even on her off days just so we had the 5 star service we were given. she welcomed us made us feel comfortable at visit. She transformed my mothers brows from no eyebrows to ombre eyebrows. My mother was happy with the outcome. I also came in with no eye brows as well due to my thyroid problem. She was able to fill my brows with microblading making it look full again. I recommended two of my friends to her. I must say she is wonderful permanent make up artist highly recommend. Had my sparse, nearly non existent brows done by Karla last Friday and it was a wonderful experience. I decided on the combo brow and they look awesome now, but I'm excited to see what they look like when they heal competely. I'm obsessed with my brows! I just got my touch up today and they are gorgeous! Karla did such a great job and she's the sweetest. Her studio is nice and clean, very professional. I will definitely be going back for other services.

So Karla herself was pleasant enough but the entire experience went from bad to worse several times over. I got a text at 9pm the night before my appointment asking to come in at 9:30am instead of 3:00pm. Although this caused me to miss church with my family, I came in thinking there had to be an urgent, important reason for the change, and it wasn't the end of the world if I missed church once. I get there at 9:25am, and at 9:30am she texts me that she's running late. Ok. No worries. Not a good look considering, but ok no worries. She finally gets there, we get settled with the colors but before we start I had to ask for a bib and a shower cap, which is what the previous professional salons I've gone to for a lip tattoo have done, so I assumed it was standard practice. I got a bib but no shower cap to protect my hair. Karla said she would be careful not to spill so ok. Let that one go as well. Before we start I also notice she's not wearing her mask properly, with it coming up to just under her nose. I had to ask her to wear her mask properly covering her entire nose before we start. The tattooing starts and she starts talking about why she was late, telling me she came in from Los Angeles that morning because she was bored out of her mind and needed something to do. I. Kid. You. Not. She changed my time by a whole half day, inconvenienced the heck out of me, with zero regard for my cancelled plans with my family or any concept of my time being equivalent to the value of her time, because she was bored. Nothing urgent. Nothing important. Just boredom. So that has to be as bad as it got right? No. She proceeds to turn on Next Friday and ACTIVELY WATCH THE MOVIE AS SHE'S TATTOOING ME. Complete with bursts of uncontrolled laughter and commentary on the funny parts throughout the movie. Look, I love patronizing small, women owned businesses and I'm not going to knock Karla (as a person) down here. But the entire experience, from before it even began to the end was a nightmare. Just go to that professional salon, sis. This ain't it.
