Family booked it and I wasn't sure about a casino on New Years for a good diner... But the reviews ahead of me did unsettle me but i went ahead anyway and made my own opinion. Pleasantly surprised. I ordered a filet mignon that was cooed exactly to temperature with béarnaise sauce, my other half had a dietary allergy and Erick was PHEMONENAL on ensuring his meal was safely prepared and brought to the table The other couple had petit filet and everything was cooked as asked, the sides (Potato, asparagus and fries) were deliciously flavored and cooked appropriately. The waiters personality, attitude and timing were spot on! He offered a refill when it was the right time and the drinks were delicious as well. You do pay for quality and i was ok with the costs as the experience was a terrific New Years in Reno with family. By the way we had a show and Erik ensured we were fed and out the door in time to walk to the show theatre. Thank you so much or respecting our time parameters, allergies and our expectations. A+

Hands down the best steak I have ever eaten! You will not regret eating here. Wish there was a location near me! My mouth waters just thinking of their perfect steak.

A very solid choice for Steak on The Strip. The classic American steakhouse is a Las Vegas institution, dating back to the Strip's early days, and seemingly a license requirement for anyone wanting to open a casino resort. Equally as ingrained in the city's culture is the celebrity chef -- while the latter tradition only dates back less than three decades, it is nearly as ubiquitous in the resort corridor. With that in mind, it was a collective "no-brainer" to give Charlie Palmer a flagship location at a mega-resort property namely The Mandalay Bay. This steak house is easygoing and understated. The mahogany-paneled room off the Four Seasons lobby serves only beef that has been wet or dry-aged for a minimum of 21 days. There are commendable seafood options, too. Service is highly polished and perfectly timed as one would expect at this price point and location. As for the actual Steak? Well, the Rib Eye was really nice. Also perfectly cooked to medium-rare (I assume via Sous Vide), and very juicy with only a little bit of bleed out going on. My only gripe is that I think the Rib Eye needed some more seasoning. I found myself dipping into the Sauces too often for a boost of flavor, but, honestly, the sauces were very good. It is said that steakhouses are best represented by their side dishes and Charlie Palmer's doesn't disappoint. Charlie's namesake CP Fries are a permanent fixture, the crispy spuds served with Ketchup and Aioli always worth an order, while the Cheesy Potato Gratin is a mustn't-miss dish, combining Asiago, Parmesan and Gruyère is a very hearty side. It is very difficult to stand out from the outrageous amount of nearby competitors but Charlie Palmer Steak fares well with just about anyone else in the genre and has possibly the best value proposition in their space. Well, them or The Capital Grille... I highly doubt anyone would leave Charlie Palmer Steak disappointed.

Charlie Palmer Steak, a great Las Vegas treat. We ordered the Cut of the Week: Bloomsdale Spinach Salad, Dry Aged Ribeye, Garlic Beets & Carrots, Smashed Pee-Wee Potatoes and Honey Toast for dessert. A great combination of flavors which blended well and complimented each other. We were not offered the Cut of the Week Prix Fixe menu. Our server seemed annoyed that we asked to see the Prix Fixe and reluctantly provided the menu to us. The steak was done perfectly, tender and flavorful, cooked as ordered (though I'm not a fan of the pat of butter atop the filet. The steak was wonderful without the addition of any butter or sauce.) The beets and carrots were perfect: tender and sweet. The pee-wee potatoes were mashed perfectly, great texture and sweetness. The honey toast was a nice combination of flavors, each distinct and fresh. ...a meal which will be remembered.

Micro portions, Macro price! The service was good, not exceptional. The food was good but for the price their are many other better choices. I ordered the “surf & turf” the steak was good but the tiny half lobster tail was a joke! Really at first I thought it was a shrimp but it came in a lobster tail. The food did come out fast but for the price we won’t go back.

Charlie Palmer Steak has THE best dining deal on the Strip. It's called Cut of the Week. EVERY week the restaurant has a $58 prix fixe meal that includes a salad, steak and dessert. It changes every week.

At the 4 seasons Hotel, go on a Monday night when it turns into a Jazz club. The food is expensive, but well worth it and the Jazz group was first class. Will go again on our next visit.

One of the best steaks I've ever had. I usually like to have different sauces when I eat steaks but my filet mignon was cooked and seasoned perfectly that I truly enjoyed the meat and didn't use much of the sauce though the sauces were delicious. Very reasonable price. Great staffs. Highly recommend.

I've eaten here many, many times. The cut of the week menu used to be one of the best values in town, with wine, sides and steak included for under $60. However, after my last 2 visits, I cannot recommend this restaurant any longer. A meal isn't a good value if every aspect is subpar, and that's what the meal has become. During my last visit, the bread was dry, the sides were flavorless and the every petite filet at our table had silverskin on it!!! Silverskin on a steak shouldn't happen at the Golden Corral, and is unforgivable at a 5 star hotel. I was absolutely embarrassed that I had talked a friend into this restaurant for her birthday, instead of the steakhouse she wanted to go to. Our $240 dinner wasn't worth $40. Happily, it's not all bad, the service here is still good, and the wine selections for the Cut of the week menu tend to be pretty flavorful given the cost restrictions. (usually $7-14 bottles). Desserts also are usually good, but it's hard to enjoy dessert when the rest of the meal was so lousy.

Over priced, under stated. The steak was ok, but you have to order each item individually and a glass of wine was over $19 ..... the meal left us still hungry and nearly $300 out of pocket! Would never recommend this restaurant to the general population.
