Worst experience in my life to retrieve my books or my wife's, let alone it takes over 3 semesters for a veteran and his household to get into classes without setting me back or getting my classes dropped

The workers don't listen, and are very hard to understand because they are reading a script without taking any pauses after asking a question. I had to repeat my student number 4 times because they kept typing in my student number wrong. And he ignored me when i was telling him its incorrect. He said he was going to email the textbook link and he never did. The woman worker just kept apologizing saying she couldn't help me after I called again. How do you not have access to student information in your system. How can a textbook be unavailable in digital format. This store makes it difficult for students to obtain the material they need for classes. These students are going places.

Took forever to get book...But, eventually got it...But, some of the staff need customer service training they rude not customer friendly and really Not handicap or disabled friendly by far---rude and uncaring in the store...Hit me up if want to know what happened to me. .But, gave two stars because the staff that takes the incoming calls is great but they have miscommunication issues with the store staff...The rudeness that the store manager or supervisor displayed over the phone was cringy like she didn't care what was going on...Like either send your money here or not...Wouldn't even let me explain anything to her.. And was rude as hell to my son.. See that you pre assumed and pre judged my child going to comeback on you...You think my son was some Thug because he has long dreads and you assumed he was black---GAVE VERY RACIST VIBES...How can You be RACIST in a school environment...Besides my Son is Not Black we are Multi raced CREOLE to be exact...And he is also a MANAGER in One of the Top Retailers in the area...It's Not fair that my son had to be STEREOTYPED just for doing a favor for me...I will Not ever have him go in that bookstore again or myself...This happened at the bookstore on CSN Charleston...Either I will go to another campus bookstore or I will do everything online...See when You work with the public it's takes a certain type of person Not just Anyone...Man I can go on and on...Do Not make anyone feel the way my son felt...And be more caring and understanding to the disabled or handicap your rudeness, attitude and demeanor was unwarranted...Like I said you or anyone can call me or contact me...I SAID WHAT I SAID AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO MISTREAT MY SON OR MYSELF...SEE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT A PERSON IS GOING THROUGH BUT KINDNESS GOES ALONG WAY...DO YOU KNOW A SMILE OR KIND WORD CAN CHANGE A PERSON THAT MAYBE HAVING A BAD DAY...BE THAT PERSON THAT CHANGES A FROWN ON SOMEONE'S FACE TO A SMILE...GIVE THEM A GLIMMER OF HOPE, PEACE, LOVE AND POSITIVE VIBES...LOVE MAKES THIS WORLD GO ROUND...I IMPLORE YOU TO BE THAT CHANGE...

I was there a couple weeks ago to look for a book that wasn’t available as a paperback because they didn’t order it. I’m not going to drive back and forth trying to hunt down a book. Just called now and whoever answered was grumpy when I was asking information about a book. They said to check the website but it shows no image available. Good customer service and kindness isn’t hard

I have been dealing with the west Charleston Bookstore. If you can get your books somewhere else you should. I tried to buy a book 3 times on three different days and the book was not able to be scanned at the register. I was told to order it online and pick it up the next day. The next day I went back and they couldn't find my order. I was told to email them and cancel the order and purchase the book at that time because the book was now able to be scanned. Long story short I bought that book this morning and i just got a confirmation that my order is ready for pickup. The fun continues......

Whoever is in charge of policies and returns is not doing a great job, for CSN, they offer awful and expensive prices, yet not a great return policy. If you buy a graduation gown, you cannot return it even if they made a mistake on size or of its ripped while being shipped. For a college bookstore they literally do not care a bit for students and only care for money. Which is very sad and I personally will never shop from them.

The bookstore’s return policies are ridiculous. What kind of business refuses a refund when you have a proof of purchase and no longer need the item?I bought the e-book recommended from their online store and later found out that I need the full version of the book to do my homework assignments.I ended up paying full price for both books and the CSN Bookstore refused to give me a refund on the e-book because the deadline for refunds had passed. They also told me I could come in between 9 AM - 2 PM for an exchange, which is impossible for anyone working a full time job.

Walked in today in a hurry and was helped immediately by the “tall girl”. She was very nice and really helpful. She found all my items in a timely manner and also got a manager to refund me for an online purchase. Overall I had an great experience at this location.

Overall renting was easy. However when returning the store manager Karin was undeniably the rudest employee I have ever come across. The spine was apparently broken but the whole book was worn out at the very beginning due to it being preowned. I had no recollection of me damaging the spine and was told an employee was “supposed” to be putting a note on it if it was. There was no clear clarification on anything and she even asked if the book was from the store in the first place? Was edging into just paying for the $70 even when both of us didn’t know exactly where the damage for the spine came from. Until these words came out of her mouth:“Well do you want ME to pay the $70?”I had it and was downright fuming at this point. I made it clear that there was probably just a misunderstanding and that I did not have $70 to give just because you “assume” I broke a preowned spine of a book. She ended up just adding a note and waiving the fee and I just let her know that associates needed to be more clear and concise with rental procedures before threatening me on undoing the waive because of my attitude.Moral of the story: take pics of your rental books upon buying, make sure associates write necessary notes and make sure to grab associate’s names upon renting.

I work in retail management and have never even thought to talk to customers the way she did. It took me raising my voice and her causing distress before we even ended up with the final results.
