My wife is the Culinary Union's primary member, so we have our medical coverage through her union membership. The Culinary Health Fund does a fine job of supporting its members with medical coverage. That said, not being the affiliate member myself, I'm not entirely sure about their "entire" function, so I am reviewing it based strictly on the name "health fund."The insurance or coverage itself is okay, nothing spectacular, but also nothing subpar either. When the Culinary Health Center opened its doors a few years ago at 650 N. Nellis Blvd., that's where I think the fund shines. If you choose the right medical practitioner(s) for yourself, this is pretty good health care overall. Maybe I've been lucky, but I feel that virtually all my medical needs have been met pretty well through the center.Nowadays, it is incumbent upon you to make sure that you receive the care you need to get the most out of "any" health insurance, not just the Culinary Health Fund. Never sit back and "accept' everything said to you without questions if you don't understand or agree. Your questions will assure you of a better understanding of your medical situation.RECOMMENDED: YesSERVICE: GoodPRICE: N/ACOVID: Practices a high level of pandemic regulations.PARKING: Adequate and convenient.REASON/INTENT: Medical, dental, and eye care

Yes, my review of the Culinary pharmacy on Nellis is also rated a three-star, and I did say that I had come back to this pharmacy to fill all my prescriptions. That doesn't mean that one isn't slightly better than the other. I prefer this pharmacy because they are a little more careful with my meds than the other pharmacy. They are also relatively more reliable than the Nellis Pharmacy with regards to getting everything correctly filled. However, when I get here (on occasion), something is missing, and I have to wait or return to get it. Missing or unfilled prescriptions should never occur with people's medications. Until the errors completely stop, I can't give this or any other pharmacy four or more stars in all good conscience. The people here are amicable and courteous. They are as helpful as they can be, but the mistakes in the [back] filling of prescriptions continue to occur, which creates a problem for all. For that reason, I can't issue higher than three-stars, but I hope to in the future when they get a clear handle on what's going wrong. The Las Vegas Culinary Pharmacy on Las Vegas Boulevard is following strict COVID 19 protocol. They have a guard and a culinary worker watching that customers adhere to all regulations. And the last time I was here, not long ago, they were taking every customer's temperature, which I was happy to see. This pharmacy is getting a three-and-a-half star rating over the three-star rating at Nellis.

Have now been on hold 47 minutes on cell phone, 35 minutes on landline number and only 15 minutes on husband cell number. Why have phone lines if no one is going to answer?....

I don’t know what the issue is because people keep calling my phone number thinking i’m this pharmacy when the numbers ARE CLEARLY DIFFERENT.

It says on COVID update - We are open. Call for refills. I have been on the phone on hold on my cell almost 55 minutes. Our landline 40 minutes and my husband's cell little over 20 minutes. I have to call because the one time I did leave a message not all scripts were refilled, my husband did not check what was picked up and 2 trips were required with an I am sorry for the problem. So I call to be sure refills are processed and not rely on phone system. However nobody answering phone.... Oh wait.... at 59 minutes my phone has been picked up and I gave my refill info. When I asked when is a good time to call to turn in refill requests so not waiting this long I was told by the young lady that an hour is normal wait time for refills as she is busy helping customers. I did not think they were allowing customers in the door yet. Maybe there should be more people working if this is only Culinary Pharmacy open and she is all by herself. Our time is valuable also.

This place is the best!!!! Never a long wait, even when there is a line, friendly staff and it's free!!! How can you beat that? I really appreciate this pharmacy.

I always get mailers about how I should use Culinary pharmacy over a traditional pharmacy. Typically I don't as they never have the medicine I need. I live in Boulder but decided to give it a try. My doctor put in a prescription for me to pick up and when I finally get a day off to drive all the way there, the Culinary pharmacist tells me they don't carry that medicine. They couldn't call me to tell me that? They had more than enough time combined with the opening hours & long lines are enough for me not to return again.
