This location is poorly managed. At opening the place was a mess with merchandise all over the floor, items in wrong area...a total disaster. The Manager should be fired!

I intended to buy multiple items that I would rather see and try on so I went to Dicks on Charleston.
Firstly I went to the equipment area as I wanted to buy a workout bench. There were 2 models available but they were in boxes. The shop assistant offered to show me online what they looked like! Gave up on that. Might as well buy online. Headed next to the shoe section. Picked out 3 pairs I wanted to try on. No one came over to help. I had to eventually call out to someone who disappeared around the back never to be seen again. I collared another person who went to the back and bought out one pair in the wrong size. He went back came out with another pair which he put down on the counter and walked away. Gave up on that endeavor. Picked up some weights and took them up to the check out counter. I told the cashier about my experience and at first he totally ignored me. When I asked if he’d heard what I said he replied that he would pass my comments on. Then he didn’t even put my weights in a bag. I won’t bother going back.

The Asian guy with a ponytail gave me attitude when I asked where the headbands were because I was confused as to why they would separate tennis headbands from general tennis equipment. The guy in the front as soon as you walk in wasn’t very outgoing either. Overall F- for customer service. I will never spend another dime with Dicks Sporting Goods solely due to the experience with their staff. Make better choices in who you hire Dick’s

Mediocre service. There are much better sports apparel stores near by with better stock/merchandise and knowledgeable staff.

Every employee was very helpful and super nice. And they offer an awesome warranty for the bicycles and everything is checked on the bicycle before you leave with it

Shot out to DANNY in the cleats dept. Got us in and out right before closing on a school night. Went above and beyond. Great customer service. Measured my kid, and went in the back 3 or 4 times to search for what we wanted without hesitation. Great attitude and communication. You rock! Checked out at the front with JALEAH who had a smile on her face, great personality, awesome customer service. Turned a hectic night into a success! Thx team! Appreciate your help!

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience. We purchased an item through Dick’s Sporting Goods, sold to us by Benjamin. A delivery date was scheduled, but we never received the product.
We only found out the item wasn’t available because the third-party delivery and setup company contacted us. Not once did Dick’s notify us directly. After 30 minutes of being rerouted and calling back, we finally spoke to Val, who admitted they sold us a product that wasn’t available and that it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
To make matters worse, I was told I had to go in person to get a full refund. As someone with over 20 years of logistics experience, I know this process is unacceptable. Selling items not in stock, failing to communicate with customers, and then making the refund process difficult is not how business should be done.

I used to come to this Dick’s on Charleston all the time for work shoes. My last pairs actually held up really good, so I figured I’d come back and grab some new ones… but wow, today was just a mess. The store had inventory all over the place, looked super unorganized.
I couldn’t find a single employee to help with shoes. Walked around the shoe area and finally asked someone walking by if anybody was working that section… he pointed at some tablet and told me I had to scan the shoe on there. So now instead of someone helping you, you gotta scan the shoe, pick your size, type in what you’re wearing and your name, and hope someone brings it out?? Like I get it, new tech and all but this is just doing too much. What if it was an older person who doesn’t know how to use that?
The shoe area was trashed. Boxes and random shoes thrown all over the seats, could barely find a spot to sit down and try stuff on. I requested two shoes, only one came out and it didn’t fit. Waited around for the other pair and it never showed. Ended up walking out.
I don’t think I’ll come back here again. I get that stores wanna save money, but not everything needs to be a robot or a tablet. Some of us still wanna talk to a real person. Whole experience today just turned me off. I’ll go somewhere else for shoes from now on.
