Be aware rip-off to the fullest extent, they want people with good or excellent credit, to apply for credit cards on your behalf, through seed capital to open business charging at least $7,000 per person, and it’s a struggle to repay because after the zero percent interest expires in one year, it like 27 Percent interest I struggle for over 5 years finally gave up with a loss of more than 200 thousand, because profits of less 37 cents per dollar is not worth it Stocks to open the store was less than 20 thousand, sounds like a lot but it’s working with minimum stock trying to repay loans from credit cards of over $100,000 was a ripoff investment I had to refinance to repay the cards because I couldn’t keep up with the billsI hope before investing you will to do proper research before a dream project if i can give zero reviews I would have

My husband Randy and I got on a zoom call to find out more about opening a dollar store, the so called President of the company John LaFronz mediated the zoom call. After hearing what he had to say, we made the decision to go ahead and send our money in the next day to begin the process for a store. Adam called me up quickly to get my $500 deposit, which by the way instantly was withdrawn from my account. 2 days later, Mario gets with me to do the application for financing and tells us we don't qualify. I asked him about my refund and he said he would initiate it for me and it would take 7-10 business days. It did not take 7-10 business days for them to withdraw my funds from my account so because I was not satisfied, I called and left a message for John LaFronz. He did return my call and also I have an email as well the same day telling me my refund went out on 8/19. I am still waiting on a refund. I will be taking other actions tomorrow. This company should not accept any funds from anyone UNTIL they have reviewed the credit report to see if they can help you or not, this is a total scam and I am going to the news to let everyone know what has been done and to STAY AWAY from something which sounds too good to be true. RUN from this company as quick as you can, they do not honor what is promised.

I did the orientation over the phone. I paid the $500 deposit. Then they asked me to set up an Experian account. Pay for a credit check from all three bureau’s then give a complete stranger my username, password, PIN number, and secret question which I did. I quickly realized this could be a scam. What if they change my passwords and lock me out. Steal my identity then take out loans and have credit cards sent to them in my name. I hurry up and changed the access information to my account. I don’t know if I trust these people. I sure hope I can get my $500 back because they said it’s refundable. Ugh?

It seems legit at first, but when you actually run the store. You noticed dollar items won't feed you. Owners will have to increase the prices and started include brand names to attract customers. Also, owners should not apply for so many credit cards. If you don't have the money to open a store, don't do it.

Working with DRSS has been a great experience. They have kept us informed and advised us what to do every step of the way. The 3 day class with Christina has been very helpful for taking the right steps to help you have a successful business.

Rude representatives. They spam you with preset messages but when you email them they send you a one-liner asking for money before you begin. No introduction, no thanks, no explanation of services or HOW they obtain financing. Just pay us $500 to starting talking.

The worst. I opened a store, in Feb 2013 and closed it, in Sept 2013. I had to go to bankruptcy, to avoid losing everything. The store was nice, but most of the products were too cheap for you to have a decent profit. Was forced to accept a location, without a major anchor store. Nice area, but not foot traffic enough to attract enough customers. Tried some local advertising and coupons (recommended by DSS) but not help. I won't make enough money to pay the utilities, much less to pay the leasing of the local, which was $2500 for a 1200 ft local. It didn't matter, sometimes I won't see a customer going by for hours. I was glad that I could go into bankruptcy and save a property in Las Vegas, where I could live. I couldn't afford the house in CA, anymore, so I did a short sale. At first I thought that they were going to finance the store, but not, they were getting credit cards left and right, for me, using Seed Capital. Later I found out that they were lying about my net worth to the leaser of the store, and I guess to the credit cards companies. Was losing my pants on these one, but got out of it on time. Was looking to the store, for something to do and income, after I was forced to retire, but what a nightmare.

They "hired" me and 14 others to set up a store in Kingston, WA and when I arrived for work, was told it was all filled and only 7 spots were available. That's messed up! Don't tell people there's work, unless you're going to keep your word! I have a family to provide for and I drove out here to work. The least they could have done was to tell me when it was full and that no other help was needed.

They talk the talk but when it comes down to needing additional financing they leave you hanging like a nameless corpse. I was ill prepared to open this store, the only thing they were really interested in was getting their sales quota and their cut. I was left holding the ball and lost almost everything I own because I was deserted and couldn't find the help that they promise. I was already established was their excuse, their hands were tied. Now all of the upper management has been replaced and my so called support is gone and I'm broke. I learned a hard lesson - when it seems to good to be true - IT IS!!!

This people are very very dangerous, be careful if you get a call from them. Don't trust them and waste your money. They promise a lot of things and they rush you to the process. Once you start working with them they won't give you a break and you will not have a time to think again and again about whats going on. They will put you from one department to the other and within a few period of time they will take half of the payment and the other half in few days, then they will start playing their bad game.

Discount Party Store Developers are terrible. Don't waste your money going to Vegas for training. Everything with the store and inventory seems great till they leave. Then you find all the horrible mistakes. Buyer or investor beware, beware and beware. Just so everyone knows they compensate any store that gives them a good review or they get a referral from. They will leave you high and dry. After a year and a half open we are still finding mistakes they made. Good luck to anyone who deals with them your going to need it. They don't set you up for success, They set you up for failure
