Not sure why their rating is so low, we rented a last minute car yesterday and the worker was nothing but awesome. Super friendly and fast service. Even gave us a nice upgrade for a great price. We have a lovely experience here and would definitely recommend. Location was not bad either. Great rental car place!

A little bit late with a review, but have to go with 5*. Rented a car back in July, everything was well prepared and perfectly communicated. Car was ready when we arrived to pick it up, employee on that day (5th July) was great - gave us some advices and we were ready to go in just a few minutes.Car ran smooth, brake pads were bit overused imo, but absolutely no issues with it.Return process was even faster, deposit was returned few hours after we returned the car.I'd be happy to rent a car with Dollar once again for my next road trip.Thanks a lot!

What a horrible location, dollar/thrifty/hertz should be ashamed to have this location and their crappy employees working there. The so called "manager" Ron is very blatantly racist, snarky and extremely condescending. They overbooked their car rentals and instead of offering an apology or solution he yelled at me that I should have called today to confirm, despite me confirming 5 days ago with their call center office that my reservation was valid. This location sits in a building labeled dollar, yet rents thrifty cars and the employees wear hertz t shirts, a complete and total scam and waste of money.

If they will allow me to leave zero stars I will. Absolutely horrible. The lady in front of me requested a gas powered SUV and they put her into a Tesla. They had no other cars so she had to take it. I reserved a mid sized sedan. I was told they had no cars, at all. So after spending $30 for a cab to get there, I had to pay another $30 to get back to my hotel without a rental car. Nothing but excuses.

We booked with expedia.ca. we picked the they pick car. We got an electric car. We were going around las vegas it was perfect. It took a little more planning but once we figured out where to charge it was amazing. 29 $ for six days of driving around. Great first experience with electric wheels.Also guy at the front is an absolute rock star. I loved his energy. ?

Dequan was so kind,patient, and helpful. My car was nice and clean and. The price was very reasonable and only a 5min lyft ride to this location from the airport.

We had fantastic and friendly service! The manager helped us out of a tough spot! He provided an upgraded vehicle at a minimal charge - otherwise we would have been walk!!!! Thank you!!

Counter help was very gracious. The price and type if car was an extraordinary value. However, they had no cars left, trip websites had oversold to too many other customers. We had prepaid but they had only one car left. Decent, clean waiting area. Very difficult to negotiate where to enter parking lot for drive shares. Had to be dropped off and picked up in street amidst traffic due to confusion of local rideshare drivers. Very pleased with the rental car but overwhelmed by the smoke/weed smell that we couldnt get rid of with 3 deodorizers. Thats why it was so ironic to see this Limo in the lot next door.

WORST EXPERIENCE! SAVE YOUR $$ & TIME. Employees aren’t helpful & so rude. There was one Asian employee there who was just not down to help me as a young girl & the manager was not taking any accountability. They take bookings from third parties WHICH ARE BIG SCAMS. They took $500 & they didn’t even give me the car. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

We had a great experience with this dollar branch compared to other ones. The staff was very attentive. We also got an upgrade. Our reservation was made through expedia and everything went smoothly. I would certainly book again with this dollar unit.

We reserved, and paid for, our rental vehicle online via Kayak a few weeks prior to our vacation. The website said the location was open from 2-4. We were told via the online exchange that our rental would be available at noon. We arrived just prior to 4pm (due to bussing issues) and were told they didn’t have a car for us because it was past noon. We commented on the 2-4 notice on the website and were told “yeah we’re trying to get that changed”. We advised that they had our money so we expected a car, and the employee said “I don’t have your money, I get paid by my company”. We were told that the payment was for a reservation, not a car (a Seinfeld episode comes to mind here…) and that we didn’t arrive in time and we should never assume that there would be a car available. The employee then proceeded to complete the paperwork and point us towards an available car in the lot (which had been sitting there the entire time, not even moved from a different location in the lot). We’re not sure what the employee was trying to prove with the entire rude, scolding exercise, but we would suggest that the lower rental price was not worth the hassle. On the plus side (if there is one) the car was in good shape and we were not charged any hidden or extra costs. We won’t use Dollar Car Rental again.

I would give no star if I have to!I reserve a car with Priceline car rental; and they refer us to Dollar Rent a car at 4777 University Center Drive, Dollar Car Rental. But when we got there, there us no car available! And we had drive a long way too! This is so ridiculous!

I rented a car from Dollar Car Rental online and received a confirmation email, but when I had a question about the pick up time, I called the number listed in the email to find that nobody would answer. The automated call system listed a different buisness name and multiple attempts to cancel the reservation using the confirmation web site would only “error” out and would not let me cancel my reservation. After nearly 40 minutes in a chat session with a customer service call center, I was informed the reservation could not be cancelled because it was within 24 hours and I would be charged full price. So I am just gonna turn this over to my Visa fraud team and let them figure it out. In the meantime, I reserved a car with a more reputable company. My advice? Trying to save a few bucks just isn’t worth the hassle when you are on vacation and don’t have time for poor customer service. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would.
