Overall the store is clean and decently stocked. Can never beat the prices. I am surprised though to see 4th of July, Halloween and Thanksgiving decor. IT IS JUNE !!!!! Halloween and Thanksgiving are 5 months away ????

Should really change it's name. Long lines as always seems to be a staff shortage. No real customer service, not even a hello, or thank you. And nothing cost a $1.

How do you take an employee off schedule for the following week just because you texted and asked if the could cover that same day at short notice and they tell you, “no, they’re busy?” When you hire do you specify that positions are “on call” or our they hourly? “AT WILL” or retaliation?
I’ve lived off Durango for nearly 8 years and this store has went from a 10-1. There is a high turnover for staff including managers AND when they are there, they sit in the back office doing nothing. DISTRICT MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO SPEND A WEEK AT THE STORE

I want to open shoppers eyes to the new Dollar Tree prices. I have calculated the Dollar Tree price and the size of the package you get for the cost. When you go find the cost of a bigger size same item at Smith's or Walmart and then take that Dollar Tree item and grab the same amount of Dollar Tree products that would equal that size you are often paying more at Dollar Tree. When Smith's or Walmart have a sale on that item it's cheaper than buying at Dollar Tree. Example: Dollar Tree has dishwasher pods for $1.25 for 6. Smith's has a sale on the Cascade 25 pods for $4.99. You would need to buy 4 bags to get close to 25 which would give you 24 for $5 plus tax. Smith's shoppers receive monthly a package of coupons that varies $10-$15 off your order of $80 or $100 in the mail. Dollar Tree Lemon Juice $1.25 I would've had to buy several to get close to the Smith's bottle size that was on sale for $2.67 and I would've spent more at Dollar Tree and from a brand I don't know. Dollar Tree AAA batteries 4 for $5. I can buy 8 at Five Below for $7.
Moral of the story with a little bit of investigating you will learn ways to make your money spend better with higher quality items. Just because a store has the name Dollar it doesn't necessarily mean you're getting the best deal. I have witnessed the staff here being rude several times. Some have an I don't care attitude.
Sincerely,
A retired secret shopper.

Decent selection but severely understaffed. Prepare for long lines, no matter what time of day you come
