We rented the DelMar and spent 9 days roaming and camping in Nevada, Arizona and California. Had our 14 and 15 year old grandkids with us and they loved having their separate loft space. We had an amazing experience! Only drawback - the van is a huge step up / step down and I am 5’ 1”. Highly recommend a step stool if you are short or have creaky joints!

Great experience! We looked into larger RVs but the smaller economical Escape Vans gave us better gas mileage and the ability to park/camp/drive anywhere because it was under 20 feet in length of a normal class C vehicle. We rented the Del Mar for our family of 4, and it worked out great for our trip to Zion, Bryce, Arches, Mesa Verde, Antelope Canyon, and Grand Canyon.
The woman that helped us at the Las Vegas office was super helpful and when we were on the fence about purchasing one or two propane canisters for the coleman stove, she gave us an extra half-full propane canister free of charge.
We bought the bedding package and dishes/cooking package. The bug screen package was a must to provide more ventilation to the bottom bunk sleepers and still keep the bugs out (Just make sure to hold the screen diwn over the windiws as you close the door to completely screen the windows).
The upper bunk had plenty of ventilation with the zip-off screen windows, but the bottom bunk got a little hot and stuffy when the temperature was really hot at night. I'd advise looking at the weather of where you are sleeping when you book a campground to stay because we ended up changing our plans twice when the temperature at 10pm was still in the 90s in early June. We ended up buying a plug in/battery fan to keep the air moving when it was hot in the bottom. The fridge was pretty small, but you could fit quite a bit in it. It would work well for two people or if you eat out more, but we ended up buying a large foam cooler additionally (and stored it on the counter in the back kitchen) to be able to have a place to store more food and the ice blocks worked best/longest for keeping food cool. The van drove decently well (a little bumpy at times when driving over 60) and it was nice to not have to set up a tent/mattresses at each place we went as we had done in the past. We left the beds set up the whole time too since we didn't need to eat inside because of rain and all of our campgrounds had picnic tables. It was also better than staying at hotels along the way because we didn't have to haul all of our luggage in and out and check in/out each time.
It was also nice knowing what to expect each night for sleeping arrangements by living out of the van. My husband and I liked the 4 inch foam mattress so much that we are thinking of switching out our normal mattress at home for an RV mattress. He said that after sleeping on that mattress for one night, all of his persistent back/neck pain had gone away. And it remained that way the entire trip until we slept on a normal hotel mattress. I agreed that I liked the RV mattress as well.
All in all, this was a great experience, and we would totally do it again!

We had an awesome experience with Escape Campervans out of their Las Vegas location. Pick-up and drop off were a breeze and all the employees were exceptionally kind and helpful. They showed us how to set everything up and when we called on the road with questions they were easy to contact and happy to help. We took the van on the great loop of 6 national parks through Utah and Arizona and had no issues. The vans come with a stove (just buy some propane) and have plenty of space to hang out inside. They have plenty of space for sleeping as well but it can get a bit toasty (we brought a small desk fan for at night that really helped). Overall, it was a great experience and we would happily rent a van with Escape again!!

Las Vegas Location: Customer service was great and the van was comfortable and easy to get the hang of. I would suggest getting the insurance because we had an engine light and tire pressure scare but it was just due to the change in elevation. Also be aware that in hot summer months the nights sleeping in the van were quite hot. Will look to rent again!

One of the best campervans on the market. 10/10 for customer service and for the van itself. We rented the 5 person van and it fit all of us quite comfortably, and it is well-fitted with all the necessary stuff. Definitely going to be repeat customer!
