This review is for Ms. Fara, who two of our kids have had the joy of having as a teacher for pre-school. There are good teachers and there are great teachers. Ms. Fara is one of the greatest of all time. She loves those kids like her own, and knows how to get the most out of them in the classroom. I can easily say that they are better people and stronger academically then they would have been having had any other teacher. We did have a not so great experience with another teacher at the school, but if you can get Ms. Fara, I HIGHLY recommend this school.

Two of my grandchildren had the opportunity to learn from the amazing Ms Fara. The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book. Thank you, Ms Fara for being such a wonderful teacher and person. I know Samson and Kira will forever remember their time with you. It will be a lifetime memory they will always cherish.

We loved this school and the staff for the past 5 years. This year my son entered 1st grade and had an amazing teacher who had to resign due to Covid on week 2. Then we got a new teacher Mrs. Mochizuki who clearly wasn't a great fit for my son. She said he was extremely hyper and proceeded to put a desk for him outside the classroom with out my husband or my consent for 3 DAYS! All the other teachers we absolutely loved but this was insane to put a 6 year old out there by himself without our permission. When we approached the teacher about it she waved her hand at me and said if I don't like it talk to the principal Mrs. Dake. Her response to me was extremely inappropriate and scary so we withdrew him immediately. He is now enrolled in an amazing school which was a wake up call to us, he should of been out a long time ago with all the red flags.

We absolutely love this church and the child programs they offer. The VBS camp they hold every summer is one my kids ask for by name, beg me to send them and then are so disappointed when it’s over. The teachers and counselors are incredible and the teachings and the activities are the best. I highly recommend this summer camp and their year round Sunday school to any families looking for a great place for your children.

I am loving this school! My family has been members of the church for years, and when it came time for my oldest kiddo to enter Kindergarten, I knew i wanted both my kids to attend GSCA! (my youngest is in the preschool) It was a huge benefit that both my kids could attend one place.... one reliable, safe, faith-based place... The staff has been amazing... every teacher my kids have encountered, truly loves them like their own.. It is SUCH a relief to not have the kids be sad/crying every day when i'd drop them off! All members of the staff have shown that they put time, care, and dedication into their jobs & into the children! It speaks VOLUMES!!! HIGHLY recommend GSCA! 5 Stars!!!

My children have attended school at GSCA since it opened. From preschool to elementary all three of my kids enjoyed their time here. This is a very close knit community of educators and parents. I feel like the whole staff knew who my children were even if they were not their teacher. The environment is warm and inviting and the class room student count small enough for individual attention. I highly recommend this school if you want your children to feel loved and welcomed.

I work as a substitute at this wonderful school. I see teachers and staff treat the students with great dedication and care. The teachers are innovative, current in their knowledge of the best practices for students, and committed to providing a rigorous learning experience. The extra mile I consistently see at Good Samaritan, is the thoughtful and precious way the staff communicates the joy of knowing God to the children. Good Samaritan a true community, gets 5 stars from me.

From the first moment I walked through the doors at Good Samaritan, I could feel the warmth and love that is clearly the foundation of their school. The staff truly makes you feel as though you are part of a family. My son was out for a couple days with a little bug, and they called to check on him and offer any assistance. I have never experienced this kind of care and concern from a school. We have been a part of the Good Samaritan family for three years, having started my son there in the Pre-K class. I love their balanced approach to learning. They allowed my son to explore his own interests while also preparing him to enter Kindergarten. I love the growth I have seen!! I can say, there has never been a day where I’ve had to “drag” him to school. If you’re looking for a “home” for you child, I highly recommend Good Samaritan Christian Academy!

I had initially read and disregarded reports of prejudice regarding this institution. There are many very good people and programs here. There is however some very ingenuine representation and one very malicious or misguided teacher to beware of. My son and daughter both attended. She in the preschool and here teachers were outstanding. My son in second grade. His teacher presents with obvious borderline and perhaps neurotic behavioral demeanor. Examples, she told the 6 and 7 year-old children that she was “In a very dark place” after the tragic death of a family member. She recommended we have our son examined for being on the “spectrum”. I am a clinician and this was a surprise to me. We took him to a counselor who declared he is perfectly normal and the pediatrician told us he may be a bit bored but was in no way on the autism spectrum. This cost us time and grief and we were also concerned about her “concern” that he did not understand her analogy of darkness and death (personally I find it inappropriate for this age group). We asked we be contacted by phone, text, mail, written format or in person if he presented with further behavioral issues. other than having to replace 2 books that he had gotten wet with his drink bottle there was no real significant feedback. My wife and I already have very low respect for this teacher at a school we paid for him to attend. He did very well in music, Spanish and other outstanding programs. The administrator does a good job of presenting a front that she cares. We asked for a change of classroom to have an appropriate teacher (there was one). One who. would communicate and would not label our child. He is of mixed race. I am not sure what to think of the allusion that there is prejudice. That very simple and reasonable request was declined. We had to remove both of our children, really due to the discriminatory labeling and treatment of our son and the lack of reasonable accommodation in effort to manage this. We are changing schools. The kids will be utterly confused and obviously heartbroken. There are many good programs here, however given this level of discriminatory treatment, labelling, neglect of communication, inappropriate disclosure and lack of consideration I cannot recommend this facility at this time. I hope that they are able to improve these deficienciesSincerely, Dr. R

My children have been attending GSCA for the last four years. We have two in preschool, and one in elementary. We love this school, and choose to stay here for several reasons. The school is a small community and most everybody knows everyone else in the school, which makes it very personal for the children and the families. The staff is very loving and compassionate. Each day I know I am leaving my children in the hands of people who truly care about them. They know my children personally, and, often, their teachers share creative ideas and accomplishments my children had during the day. The preschool nurtures age-appropriate social, spiritual, and academic growth. As an elementary school teacher myself, I see the evidence of how important it is to nurture the social and life-role developmental growth within children. It is unfortunate that many schools (including preschools) are pushing paper/pencil academics in place of this, stunting healthy social and emotional development of children, which are crucial life skills. The preschool teachers are so caring and hands-on. It is truly a preschool and not a day care. They have themed weeks where they learn about the world around them and how things work. They have art, music, story time, work with numbers and letters, etc. There are many things we love about the elementary school.-The classes use a well-balanced educational approach with curriculum and hands-on learning through projects and engaging educational activities. -Learning is not “data-driven” and standardized testing occurs once a year for all grades. -Students get 30 minutes for lunch and 30 minutes for recess each day. -Class sizes are small. -I love that there is diversity of students within the school. Unlike a previous disgruntled reviewer, my own children are of mixed race and we have never experienced any kind of mistreatment from the school or staff. -Each day K-5 start out with Jesus Time together in the chapel. (Preschool does their own Jesus Time together). -The teachers and school aides truly have the children’s best interest at heart. They are there each day with smiles on their faces and are truly happy to be working there. -Most importantly, I love that my children are learning and growing in an environment where they learn about and freely discuss God, and teachers get to pray with them and love on them. My children are affectionate people and need hugs when they’re sad or when they celebrate accomplishments. This school is able to provide the exact loving and educational environment I would give them myself.
