I had a disappointing experience at the Goodwill. While checking out, the manager came up behind her coworker and abruptly took over, telling my wife and me that we couldn’t purchase certain items because she claimed they had the wrong tags. The insinuation was clear, and it was especially frustrating since it was a dollar sale day. The way she overruled her coworker in front of us made the whole situation feel awkward and unnecessary, considering they weren’t even the dollar sale day items!
At the end of the day, what is the purpose of a donation-based store? Was it really worth making a scene over an extra two dollars, changing a price from $2.99 to $4.99? She took one item in the back and said she would reprice it from 2.99 and made it $9.99.manager was on a power trip today. I felt petty and rude. Definitely not the kind of customer service I expect, and it left a bad impression.

Older man working the register was raising his voice rudely to me and my 10 year old niece for using our moms phone number pressuring us for an Id. I said “I’ll just use my phone if I have a account” and I did a simple no can’t do that would have been fine. Instead he wouldn’t let me pay until I said I honestly don’t care about the price and handed a $20 that simple no need to cause a scene with young girls and make us uncomfortable

These people are smoking something!! Everything is DONATED!! FREE!! And they have the audacity to sell a dresser for 800$!! Wth,yea it was a nice dresser but omg unbelievable!! Nothing should be more than 80$ you guys are delusional!!!

It happens often that they don't have tags on items they put out and will not allow you to buy it. I usually don't care but I found something I needed and they wouldn't allow me to purchase it. The manager said she would be fired. If that's true then I think the company as whole is the issue. If a company receives free items and can't not manage to properly price them before placing them on the floor, and then firing managers for pricing them to sell is ridiculous. I really needed this item and the manager stated 2 other managers were fired for pricing and selling items preciously? What's the point of being a thrift store or having managers if they can't do their job. I cant stand company's that operate like this! This is a company thriving on pure profit.

I don't know what is going on with goodwill, but first of all they have fall decorations and Christmas decorations that you can buy at family Dollar for $1.25 and they're trying to sell them for $1.99. secondly at this particular goodwill, they now have a policy where if you find something that does not have a price tag, and you tell them where in the store you got it from it didn't have a price tag and you want to know how much it is. They will not sell it to you they tell you it's against store policy and that they have to create a price for it and then put it on the shelf the next day. You are not allowed to buy it that day. I went to go get a pair of shoes for my niece. There was no price tag but the rude sales lady I can come back and buy it the next day when they put a price tag on it. How does this make sense? I asked her why can't you just put a price tag on it now and I can buy it now. Cuz I'm not coming back here tomorrow. And she said sorry can't do that you want it come back tomorrow. at this point with how much prices have increased where you're getting things that are donated and you try to jack up prices I will never go back to Goodwill again. Plus the rude customer service is ridiculous. If you're going to be that rude to your customers don't work in customer service.

I can’t believe what I just heard. I heard a manager say make your customers wait, It’s a part of training your customers. (Are we dogs now)! Then I asked the clerk what’s the manager name. She said I don’t know. She don’t know her manager name! I asked to speak with her. She decided to say a name. She probably gave me a fake name of Ariel. If you’re willing and ready to be trained, this is the place to come! They need a new manager! She is not showing her workers the right way. I’m not a dog to be trained sorry. Never come back again!

I just donated today at 4580 W Sahara:225 no open iPhone cases,no receipt of course,they will never offer you,
but today I have 3 items that she refuse to sell to me because they do not put the price on it,I ask to put a price and she say that is a long process, she grab the items and dosed under the table.
what? no more I am going there,she say they have a new rules,
Well their rules are our money,
No Thank you ,no more there,

Goodwill career center is dishonest and unhelpful. In 2023, they said they would help me with training and getting federal funds to pay for school. To this day, I never got any funding or training from them. They were a complete waste of time. I was told a date to bring ID to fill out paperwork but on that day instead they gave a company presentation and told me to come back next week for an intake interview. Then a week later they said we still can't start paperwork come back in another week to take tests... At my appointment no one could find the career coach because she had driven out to have lunch and came back 20 minutes late without calling in. She blamed her previous client for her actions. Then I was told the district manager would review and approve my case and a case worker would contact me, but no one did. So I would call, email, or visit their office every week to follow up. Month after month, same response we'll get back to you but they never did. They don't care.
