I recently adopted my new baby named Tigerz from here and it was a fantastic experience. After trying to adopt a cat from another popular cat adoption center in Las Vegas that was not getting back to me, I decided to check out Homeward Bound Cat Adoption. The adoption process was so quick and easy (within about an hour of arriving, I was already signing the paperwork to take Tigerz home), and the staff and volunteers were so friendly and helpful. Tigerz was neutered, microchipped, and determined healthy by a vet. And I was given free cat food, cat litter, and a toy to take home with me as well. Thank you Homeward Bound Cat Adoption!

While I did not adopt from this place (I was looking for tabbies) the is clearly a place that really cares about their animals. Place is immaculate and the cats well cared for. This is a place worth donating to!

Very helpful when I adopted my cat. I spent quite a bit of time there with the kitty's as they interviewed me. A nice addition was that I was able to also take an ample supply of supplies to help me get my new companion settled in at home. Homeward Bound is great!

I love this place and what they do!! Over the years we've accumulated things we don't use, need, etc. Everything is so dog focused. We love it bc it's purely cats. The first time we just dropped some items off and made a donation. Today we did that AND hung w the babes! Leona and her staff are kind, caring and knowledgeable. You can tell they actually care. There was a recent spill on the floor, I told them and it was promptly cleaned up. It was heart warming seeing how they know the cats and their purrsonalities. People were there reading to them, others visiting to see about adoption but everyone was kind. How could you not be w all the cute babes in need of good homes around. I appreciate the focus on not spreading germs w all the sanitizer and gloves for the babies. This place hits me in the feels. I'd take all the displaced cats if I good. Super love what they do here, and will continue to support the cause and visit the babies when I can.

they don't answer the phone and are extremely slow at answering emails. they also expect you to pay them a ton of money if you give them kittens.

Forcing people to make appointments weeks in advance to drop off animals? Ridiculous. Definitely avoid. Go where they don't make things as difficult as possible.

We recently adopted the cutest tuxedo kitten from Homeward Bound Cat Adoption. My husband surprised me for my birthday and it was the best present ever. The kitty, Mando, has been such a treat (yes, I am I am biased). He plays fetch, has the loudest purrrr, best litter box manners, devotees himself to his our cleanliness, and all ‘n all is so much not like a regular cat- definitely a special kitty. But the adoption process was so easy- he was fixed and chipped- ready to leave the cage and join us for his new life. Thank you Homeward Bound ❤️

Sunday - I saw a cat I wanted online. Saw on Google they were open till 6pm. I got there at 520pm, and the doors were locked with a sign on the door saying they closed early. I'm irritated now.Monday- called and left a voice mail, and their voice recording said they were open for adoptions Tuesday - Sunday.Tuesday- called again and left another voice mail. Then, I noticed their hours said adoptions are on Wednesday through Sunday online. So their voice recoding was wrong.Wednesday- called at 1230 pm, again NO answer. Wrote a Facebook message to them to see if the cat I was interested in was still available, I got a response back saying he was available. I wrote back and said I would be there at 4 pm. Walked in at 4pm, cat was adopted one hour before. So after 6 calls, 2 voice-mails with no response, and a Facebook message, the cat was gone. I figured, well, that's frustrating and awful service, but let me take a look at other cats. So, I did. Then I asked 2 people, "Do you test the cats for FeLv (leukemia virus highly contagious to other cats) they both said NO. So basically, after very bad customer service, they are allowing people to adopt cats that potentially have FeLv, which now means people are taking cats home to their other cats, which could then give thier healthy cats the FeLv virus. This is terrible for the other cats at home.So now, awful customer service, no education for the customer, and terrible for the animals. Homeward bound can bring a cat thay is FeLv into thier facilities which again, they have no knowledge because they don't test for it. Which other cats can now get, then the cats at home can get as well. I am aware the cats need homes, but 90% giving a virus to other felines......is not right for the animal. Then I saw one cat that had a growth on the rear end. Every time I went to pet and scratched towards the back, the cat hissed and scratched, clearly in pain. I let them know there is growth on this cat, and they didn't seem to care. Ok, great, so now you are refusing to look at the growth that can be removed and causing the cat pain, well done, Homeward Bound. Is that really caring about the animals? Maybe in some ways by giving them a roof, but what about the health? Doesn't seem like it. Beware folks

After visiting several places, thinking our quest for a young cat/kitten was over for the day, my kids kept pestering to go to another place. We were up the street and decided to pop in. GLAD WE DID. Small but the volunteers and workers really care for these cats. They are aware of each cats history and personality. We walked into the kitten nursery and immediately were chosen by Sunnee ( now named Luna). The process was smooth and enjoyable talking to the different people there. Would highly recommend this place if looking for a cat and an organization that really cares about their animals.

After looking on their website for the past couple of weeks, they finally had kittens available, so I went half an hour early. There were still two people ahead of me! This is a center that has cats and kittens only. Of course, if you have dogs at home, you can adopt a cat. They have stringent cleanliness rules and I looked at the kittens first. There was only one kitten left by the time it was my turn, and he just wasn't the right one for me.I looked at other cats, and one chose me! She was older, not what I was looking for, but I felt right about her!The adoption people are friendly and helpful. Of course, at the beginning of the day, it is busy. It costs a little bit more than adopting from the Henderson shelter, but the cats are all vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and have been cleared by a vet. If not, your pet can have it done in the near future at no cost. They are always in need of volunteers, food, blankets, toys. You can get started volunteering on their website, and you have to commit to at least two times a month. This is a great place to adopt your next kitten or cat from!
