I have been staying at the Orleans 2 -3 times a year for over 20 years and this was probably my last stay. I am a Sapphire level player and Boyd has really cut its benefits to its loyal customers. Other than my first visit over 20 years ago, I have always had my rooms comped. My host retired a year ago and since then I can’t even get a weekday room in July or August comped. The Young at Heart program has been stripped down to nothing. The shuttle bus to the Gold Coast and Strip have been discontinued. There is no longer a buffet and the Prime Rib Loft has closed. This limited my dining choices to an over-crowded, over-priced coffee shop with poor service or Bailiwick, an Irish pub type restaurant that does not open until 4pm. There is also an Asian restaurant, but I don’t care for that type of food. There were a few good things about the Orleans. 1. The pool is very comfortable and quiet and there was never an issue finding a chair. 2. Check-in was fast and friendly. 3. Black Jack dealers are very friendly. For the same amount of play I gave the Orleans, I get free rooms at Mandalay Bay but I prefer to stay off-strip. I visited the Virgin on my last trip and with only 1 hour of play at a video poker play, I received an offer for 3 free nights with no resort fees. Sorry Boyd properties but you have lost a long time customer.

On the plus side, Orleans is not far from the southern end of the Strip, and it is a good sized property with most things you would need on-site. On the down-side, the property is really starting to feel its age in my view, and could really do with some updates or love or renovation. That is, it really didn't feel like a place that I would choose to linger or choose, when there are many other newer off-strip options also available. Gambling conditions though are still not too bad for a near-strip property. So that is a plus. This was a non-stay visit, so I can't comment on the rooms.

The Orleans has always been a favorite getaway destination. But this time the facility fell short. The Beds were uncomfortable and the room could have been cleaner. The TV was very small and by 2023 every hotel In the US should up grade to larger flat screens in all rooms.

I love staying here when I visit Vegas. It’s located near the strip and near so many shopping places. Our room wasn’t clean when we entered. There was a gross medical glove left in the drawer and rubbish next to the bed. The top drawers of dresser didn’t close when items were placed in there. There was no hot water in the shower, after maintenance came, they found out the handle was installed backwards. I miss their Medley buffet and their free shuttle that used to take patrons to the strip and Hold Coast casino. Most of the other eateries are still there, but the service is slow. It was still an ok stay overall, luckily the gaming was good.

Stayed here for years but won’t be back. Shuttle to strip gone, buffet gone, Prime rib loft gone. Be sure you budget for Uber or cabs to go anywhere. Inadequate options for food especially breakfast and lunch. Rooms basic. Boyd has changed points system with no credit for what you had accrued. Moving on to another place next time Southpoint or downtown. In reading reviews I see same canned response to all.

We have been here almost a dozen times over the years and we've now decided to start going to South Point to stay. This hotel and casino used to give you coupons when you checked in to use at their restaurants, bowling alley, movies, Etc. Now they don't. They used to have the prime rib Loft. Now they don't. They still have a cafe but it is much smaller in size and has a very long wait time for your food. The Ballywick became our favorite spot but now they've raised their prices so much now it's not. All of my favorite slot machines are gone. All of them have changed to make you spend a lot more money than they used to. They've raised their craps games much higher than other casinos. We used to get massages here all the time but now the prices are outrageous. For the young at heart people they don't even get to earn points unless you're an emerald player. And the casino is half full most of the time because they've taken away all the amenities we used to come here for. So we checked out South Point and it was amazing. It was so busy and offered everything the Orleans used to. The cafe is bigger, the food is better, the prices are better. Everyone is friendly. Table games and slots selection and prices were so much cheaper. The restaurants selections inside are so much better. The rooms are remodeled and very nice. The gift shop and liquor selection was also amazing. Everything about it made you want to come back. We left the Orleans three different days and drove clear to the other side of town just to enjoy this casino instead. Never staying at the Orleans again. Makes me sad....

checked into the hotel and had to check out the same day because of an emergency back home. we were charged that 1st day and later got charged 317.00 for the full stay. I called to have it corrected and was told we checked out on the original departure day at 2:00 pm. ( not true) then we were told they would not give us our money back. we will never stay there again and neither will friends or family.

Visited for the VLV event. We arrived a couple of days before the event and were given the option of a High Floor. (21st) What a great room. A big bed three pillows wide. There was also a three seater couch and chair with a coffee table . Lots of room and although the bathroom was a little dated it was really clean and comfortable. Lots of plug points near mirrors so i could do my hair and makeup. The Pool Area was really nice and the loungers comfortable. Food Options are varied and although they no longer have a buffet. I was able to find something to eat to suit my allergies. Only downside was no fruit available unless you had it covered in sugar!!!! Well done to all the organizers of the event. Only one gripe upstairs in the Mardi Gras room. We had the same sort of drinks all week and one night one of the staff tried to charge double for a can of soft drink part way through the evening. Maybe they were on the take? needless to say we did not go to them again. The Casino still allows smoking but thankfully it was not permitted for the event so it was a relief to go upstairs. Time to ban it fully indoors. The shuttle bus appears to have been taken away. A shame as this was great for visiting the strip in the past. Good car park available.

Not what I expected. This was my second time in Las Vegas and I had arrived at around 2am expecting a relaxing stay. I suppose that there had to be SOME understanding since it was a casino after all, but the hotel portion was just unacceptable. The hallways smelled like barf. Thankfully the rooms were fine, but I could barely breathe walking from my room to my company’s. In addition that, there was a giant moth flapping in the room. Overall, disappointing.

The rooms were clean and nicely sized. No microwave or refrigerator, so be prepared to go across the street ( walking distance) to warm up your food at the Terrible's gas station. The pool area is huge with plenty of seating. The Arena is attached to the hotel, making going to events from your room simple. The dining at the hotel is wide in variety. Lots of parking. Not located near the strip but only a short uber/lyft drive away. Great for families with small children.

I used to be such a fan of this hotel. This most recent stay was unexpected. Flight cancelation. Needed a hotel. Felt this would be comfortable and safe choice. Very short. Checked in after 10 pm and out by 9:00 am. But there were some concerns. Note advising of the two incidents of Legionnaires disease, lack of amenities. Line to check in at night was long. Unfortunately my keys were not programmed and I had to walk back to front desk to get that rectified, but the guest service agent was very apologetic and courteous. I was tired. Anyway- I go into the room, no lamp near the window /couch area. Made for a darker room. No shampoo, nor conditioner. One bar of soap. Hair dryer seemed to have cracks in it. Anyway, this last minute stay has caused me to readjust my plans for May. I was to come onsite for two nights in May. I will stick to one hotel that trip and I will rideshare in for the show scheduled to see. I hope the Orleans finds its way back to where it was in the past. It was a true gem.

I will NEVER stay in this hotel again. I accidentally forgot a very sentimental piece of jewelry in my room and called less than 30 mins after I checked out to have someone grab it. The guy I spoke with didn’t care whatsoever. Wasn’t willing to have someone go up and check it. He told me I have to rely on housekeeping to find it and bring it down to where ever they return lost items. He refused to have someone go check. This place just want to keep the door revolving. Screw the customer. The rooms are dark. They have paperwork stating there’s some sort of infectious disease in their water. And my check in process was a nightmare. Lost my business and any referrals.

We love staying at the Orleans for our annual trip to the WCC Tournament. This year felt the same--as if we'd never left. Our room on the 11th floor was classic Orleans: same layout and furnishings (which I'm sure the Millennials would say need updating...). We did have a plumbing issue, but that was fairly quickly resolved. The outside is getting fresh paint, and it looks great! We didn't get to use the pool area due to the cold weather, and since that's one of the "benefits" of the ridiculous "Resort Fee, " we did feel a bit ripped off. (We remember when the Boyds' properties advertised the fact that they did NOT charge a Resort Fee.) We very much miss the Buffet and the Prime Rib Loft, neither of which is coming back? But as usual, the staff everywhere were great (front desk, housekeepers, business center, bartenders, restaurant wait staff) and the public areas were immaculately clean. We will be back next spring!
