I have been shopping for over 4 years and it is until recently that I've been experiencing poor customer service thanks to Angelo. He is not helpful and it's rude at times. Today he came running after my wife asking her for our babies diaper bag, Angelo made us feel profiled, specially since we have been able to come in with our babie's diaper bag every single time with no incident. Also the way he approached the whole situation was not apologetic at all. He sure does not represent Platos Closet well. At this has not been the only bad experience we've had with this individual, but I will be contacting the supervisor since they assured me they had no supervisor at site and to call back in 4 days to get a hold of one (That explains the poor service.)

Came in to sell my clothes that were very lightly used. I even had a pair of 77’ Nike Blazers that I’ve only worn one time. Also a few pairs of name brand jeans but was told only 2 of my items were sellable. The girls working up front were incredibly rude. I have been shopping at Plato’s for the Longest Time but this was my first time ever selling anything. When I asked them why my shoes weren’t sellable they said the suede was worn. I tried to explain to them that was the style of the shoe and they look exactly like they did when I bought them. She replied “Well like I said, they look worn so we won’t be selling them,”Clearly they don’t have a keen eye for things or what’s in fashion. It’s fine, I was trying to support the business and was going to spend whatever money they gave me (and then some) shopping, but now I will never be coming back. Staff is rude. That whole experience ruined Plato’s for me. Now I will just sell my stuff on Posh Mark and make what I actually deserve. DO NOT SELL YOUR THINGS TO THEM!

This location has a great staff, excellent selection and good pricing. I've sold things here a couple times and had prompt, friendly service.

Tried to sell my clothes at this location and to be fair I was in a bit of a hurry to go to a movie an hour later but this location is seriously a mess. The front chick took FOREVER to say their policy and blah blah first off. Second, once all of that was over with she said it would be an HOUR WAIT! For what?!? We were the only ones in the store. Literally. There were even 3 other people working there. If you want to sell your stuff here, just don’t. 0/5

This is My second time going to Plato’s and denied My things. I have TONS of clothes, shoes, boots, hats, jewelry, etc most the the tags still on them. This time I was told My things were to worn and I NEVER WORE. I see plenty of garments that look like they came straight out of the Goodwill. Really !

I’ve sold to Plato’s lots of times but this location denied me service and didn’t even look at my items, (items never used) simply because I came in and smelled like weed in a state where it’s recreational use is legal not the items but me

Do not waste your time. They only want brand new fresh from the department store clothes & even then they might decline. I brought in never worn jeans (bought the wrong size). The list said they wanted jeans and sweaters, that's exactly what I brought in. Out of 7 pairs of jeans and 8 sweaters they took 2 items for $6. I think they forgot they are selling second hand clothing.

Waste of time selling. Don’t think they even checked the bag all the way. The top clothes were a little ruffled but the rest of the bag was still folded and looked untouched.. They said the clothes were worn…. Well it’s resale and second there were clothes that were new with tag that were never worn that they probably didn’t even look at. Don’t bother trying to go here. If you do, I’d say stay in the store to see if they even go through the bags.

this was a mess. i show up after waiting 5 hours on them go through my 2 bags of nice clothes. may i assure you they were NICE. i had to give up all my most beautiful clothes because of my religion. i was expecting at least $100 based off the designer name brands (lulu lemon, balmain, ganni, anthropologie, urban, free people, nordstrom, revolve, for love and lemons, sundae muse, etc) and amount of clothes i gave them, only to show up and say $11 for 4 items (i probably gave them over 200 items). WHAT!!???????? i asked how their pricing works and she went through and showed me, and they ripped me off. they "accidentally" priced my lulu lemon down jacket for $3 when it should've been $11, leaving me with a total (after repricing) of $18. such a rip off and waste of time. i should've just donated all my beautiful clothes to charity!!!! not worth.

Honestly it seemed like a nice place; however, they wasted my time (a whole hour and I don't live close by) and gave basically all my clothes back. I thought they were up to the 'standard' but they weren't which A-okay. I got 3 more dollars that I didn't have in the end, so I guess that's a good thing...?

I was in the store and left without purchasing. I did this because I witnessed the manager by the name Sophie talking to the employees like they were her children and scolding them. One girl in particular. I found it unacceptable and won't be returning to this business.

They have a policy where you can only bring in two bags of items in on any given day. That is pretty inconvenient. And when you bring in your bags you don't get to watch them go through them, they just do it on their time and text you when they are done. Their system didn't bother me so much until I went to the Buffalo Exchange in Vegas, where you can bring any number of boxes/bags and the buyers go through your items with you! That process is so much nicer! You can see what they are buying/passing on and they can tell you why! That said, a sale is a sale, so if you have time to make multiple trips and just hang out while they go through your stuff without you, you might be able to get some cash!

I should have read the reviews more closely before coming here. I brought in several name brand items to sell. Although my experience with the sale process was not good, I give the experience 2 stars because the staff at the front desk was very friendly. When you provide your items to review, they obtain your email and cell phone number. They send you a text when your items have been reviewed. They key point being that they have your contact information. However, the shady thing the business does is not tell you how much they will buy the items back for. You have to come back in person the same day to find out the news. This is not the practice at other companies like this. All others I have been to tell you the value of the sale so you can make an informed decision. This practice is a clearly a way of making extra money off customers who can't make the trip back to the store that day. It is really unfortunate when businesses operate this way. And I certainly can't blame the staff. Very friendly and professional. But, take your items elsewhere to avoid tricky policies to make a few bucks.
