There's a few employees who need recognition! First, Jesse in the electrical dept was so helpful! He is so genuine when he helps customers. He actually asks them specific questions to ensure he understands people's concerns. Then Eric in the lumber dept truly goes out of his way. I dropped a pair of my working gloves in the store. He went out of his way, going down each aisle to help me find it. Just like many Home Depots, this location can get busy on weekends.

The woman in hardware who helped make a duplicate key for me this morning on Aisle 19 was nasty as can be. She was not a kid so one would hope an actual adult would have a clue. And so it goes...

We always find what we need at the Charleston Blvd store. The staff here is always helpful. But at the self-checkout there is an employee who asks if we need help and when we say 'no thank you, we don't need help', he butts in anyways and takes over to scan our items. When your customers say they don't need help, they mean they don't need help. We aren't stupid so listen to the customer when they say no thank you. Please treat customers with more respect.

All workers are very helpful. Almost everyone asked me if I needed help. Workers are very professional. Great Service! Thank you!

Horrendous customer service. Workers stare at you or are busy on their cell phones. I asked a lady where landscaping tools were located and you would have thought I was asking for her firstborn. She told me the gardening section..as if I was stupid. I accidentally left my glasses at home and am practically blind without them. I asked her to direct me and she was clearly irritated. She pointed which did help, but I felt incredibly unwelcome. Next time I'll order from Amazon or find another store.

I am a loyal customer. We skipped the Lowes across the street from the Costco that we were at and came here, 1.4 miles away to shop.Quality/Quantity - Got everything we needed.Atmosphere - Consistent.Giant home improvement warehouse with the best prices.Self service, usually has everything I need and when I need it.Plenty of parking, but lots of speed bumps in the parking lot, kind of excessive.Open 7 days a week, see Yelp or website for specific hours.Service - 5 stars, the employee standing behind me without me knowing answered my questions that I was asking myself outloud, scary. Good thing he was there as I wanted to buy some power tools for my friend and it was chained up.The employee apologized because he said that he had to carry the chained up power tools to the front; guess I don't look like a thief today, LOL. Otherwise there would not have been an apology.Price - $500.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1978, now with 2312 locations and growing. Ranked #5 (2020) on the Fortune 500. What would take you to 5 stars overall is customer service.

I went to Home Depot to purchase excellent quality wall-to-wall carpeting for the master bedroom with an adjoining walk-in closet. My prime objective was quality & service, not price. I wanted a simple stress-free experience. First, my partner& I picked out an excellent quality carpet with their best & most expensive padding. I asked the salesperson for 3 samples so that I can match the color to a painting. She said I have to order it myself online. Well, their website sucks. I went back to the store to have a rep. order samples. She took 30 min to order and could not have it sent to my home as represented, but would be sent to the store. Therefore another needless trip I had to make. I had the room measured (he was excellent) and with the carpet, color & padding decided, was awaiting the final proposal. I asked several times for a quote on the master bedroom alone, and a separate quote for adding the walk-in closet. They sent several proposals, but nothing I asked for.I went to a carpet store yesterday that has many discounted carpets of lower quality, but they also sell top-of-the-line Mohawk carpets. The sales manager with 35 yrs. experience showed & educated me about the various types & qualities. We settled on a silk-strand carpet (exclusive to Mohawk) that was as soft as a baby's bottom with a 100% warranty against ALL stains. Best of all, it is backed by Mohawk. Best of all the cost which includes padding, free measuring, & installation was $50 sq. yd. If I wanted to upgrade to the top-of-the-line padding it was another $3. The only downside is, I would have to have the furniture removed myself. No problem, that's what friends are for. Therefore my choice is Mohawk with the best padding for $53 sq. yd. vs. Home Depot's price for the lesser quality @ $59.23 per sq. yd. They ordered me the samples I requested & hope they will be stress-free as they promise. Now I will go to Sherwin Williams to paint the interior & look for another CO. to replace kitchen cabinets, and flooring & install top-of-the-line appliances.I will update you when the carpet is installed. I just moved to Vegas within the past week, and Home Depot was one of my first stops in town (because where else would you go having just moved from the Midwest and after closing on a fixer...). The stars must have finally fallen in alignment because not only did I get some fantastic flooring for dirt cheap (on sale), but I also ran into the world's best Home Depot store associate, Cairo!!! Cairo was helping another customer initially, but he came over with a smile when I beckoned him, and asked what he could help me with. After talking flooring, he went and found a pallet jack and hauled it all to the Pro desk so I could check out after I finished shopping. Before he did so though, he found me some paper and gave me a pen so I could scribble things down as I walked around the store. As I walked around, I realized I needed to look at tile, too. While I was back that way, I heard Cairo helping someone in the next aisle over--not only did he sound helpful, but he took a genuine enough concern to ask the customer his/her name! That right there is a subtle sign of awesome customer service skills!!!Lastly, I'm one of those people who'd probably lose their head if it weren't screwed on... haven't lost my head yet, but did forget a Milwaukee drill set at the self checkout counter. I didn't even remember I bought a drill set until like 3 hours later. Luckily, the store associates were on top of things and had it safely waiting for me at the Customer Service desk!I love going to Home Depot in general--it's like shopping for clothes/shoes but 1000x better--but I'm definitely going to the W Charleston Home Depot store (as much as possible) when I find a need to go into a home improvement store!
