This is hard to write because I love the store, but I can't stand running the gauntlet of solicitors blocking the entry doors (football teams, girl scouts, addiction prevention, political registration etc...). For God's sake all I Want to do is shop for groceries. Today, it was Democrat advocates registering people to vote. I mentioned I was a Republican and they immediately turned around and solicited other people. Management at the store has to know and approve of this because it happens right in front of them on their property. I checked with other stores in the area, Walmart and Sam's Club, and they don't allow this type of solicitation on their property. I will start shopping at a different store from now on.
Update: I complained to the store manager, and she said it was store policy to allow this behavior because it was about freedom of speech. I knew this was false because it is private property. She then said certain people was not allowed such as homeless people. So apparently, if store management likes what you say, it is okay, but if they don't the speech is not allowed. I suggest you don't shop at this store.

I've worked in the grocery business for over 20 years, and I must say that the layout is very awkward. Too many half isles. I only go there if I need just a couple of things. I've been to other Smiths that are laid out much better. But I must say that they ALWAYS have real checkers to check you out. Anywhere, that I have to check out my own stuff, I leave my stuff there and walk out. Thank you for that!
