Quick, knowledgeable service and ownership. I would definitely recommend it given the price, expertise, and convenience.

I am a veteran and I have big feet! More so since wearing Army boots for years! So, now that I am older and suffering from Neuropathy in my Right foot, curled-up and lots of broken toes, and an ankle replacement, I have difficulty finding any shoes let alone ones that have a "toe" box, so I mainly wear sandals. The VA gives me one pair of inserts and shoes a year. I went to another place that "made" inserts for me, but they and the shoes I got never fit right. But this year I got to go here. What a neat experience. First off, I felt comfortable. I have to get men's shoes now, but Analie, Gladis, and Mike watched me stand, walk, and finally came up with the "perfect" PROPER fit. I now have inserts that work, because I needed a metatarsal pad. I hope to return here and find more types of shoes and watch their "sale" rack for some great deals. If you need help finding good shoes and inserts, do yourself a favor and go here.

I was looking for some form of shoe insert, the service was okay. Prices range from 75.00 a pair per insert and up. They also sell shoes and socks. Not too busy on the weeks.

I’ve purchased at least 15 pairs of shoes here over the years and I loved this store. That is why I’m really disappointed that they have decided to display extremely distasteful patches on a large display near the register. Crude, divisive political messages, a cartoon character flipping you off, this is not the store I knew. You should know this if you plan on bringing your kids to this store. I’ve made my last purchase there.

I remember when I went with my grandma, a year ago during covid and the old man worker stepped up to my face like if he was going to swing at me. All because my grandma wanted to return shoes. Also spread all his filthy old man germs on my face. I didn't forget how badly we were treated that day.

Awesome store, great selection of shoes. Found the absolute perfect fit. Gentleman who helped me out had top tier customer service skills. Beautiful mall, shame there arent many stores. Very relaxing atmosphere, one of a kind experience. Never been to a mall so peaceful.

This is my favorite shoe store in Reno. Here’s what I love:- An amazing selection- A guy on staff who can fix shoes, which is great from a sustainability and cost perspective- Super nice- I can try things on which is not an option online.- I can see the actual colors versus what it looks like in a photo (often not exactly the same).- They are a small business, competing against online stores and larger competitors with bigger margins. What do I understand comes with trying to keep small businesses alive in a world that’s making it very hard to do so?- They have to be careful with returns and giving away their time and energy for free.- Sometimes they are a little too attentive - I’m actually more of an introvert and prefer to me generally ignored lol. But you know what? Other people would get mad at them if they were not as attentive. They are human beings, not mind readers.- Sometimes I bet they also are tired, or worried about making payroll, or stressed because of any of a million reasons. At the end of the day, this is a place that employees real people in Reno. A place that probably does their absolute best to balance out a million things (a living wage for staff, good service, trying to compete against companies that don’t care about their staff, that don’t contribute to Reno’s economy).I will always shop this store first, and I will expect great service and a great selection, and I will also be okay with the fact that they can’t read my mind and they are real people who don’t exist solely to serve me.I’m saddened to see that they have all these five star reviews and then a handful of one star reviews. I’m writing this to push up the average and push back against the handful of one star reviews where people were being - in my opinion - really harsh.

My wife needed custom orthotics to deal with a variety of foot problems. The orthotics necessitated getting new shoes with some very specific requirements. Proper Fit Footwear did an amazing job of finding exactly the right shoes with a perfect fit and this has made all the difference in her being able to walk again. This is a real shoe store, not a big box store masquerading as a shoe store and the people there know what they are doing. Huge selection as well.

Dumbfounded! I stopped in to spend $150.00 on a pair of nice Birkenstock sandals. I tell the sales woman what style, size and I sit down in a chair to take my shoes off. The saleswomen asks if I would move to a different chair in case another customer came in. She also told me I should not buy a new pair of Birkenstock sandals to go on vacation and they need to be broken in. At this point I just felt disrespected at the request about the chair so I got up and left the store. I called as I was driving out of the parking lot to let the owner know he just lost a sale and why. I was told he was busy and requested he call me. That was 2 weeks ago and he never bothered. Not only did he lose my business forever, I spent $150.00 at the Birkenstock store in Old Town San Diego. So much for supporting in-state and local businesses. What a waste of my time at this store. Who cares what chair I sit in? Remove the damn chair if you don't want your customers to sit there! Zero stars

Had the man there left me alone I would have tried another brand than I was looking for. I will not be back. No one should feel the way I was made to feel today!
