I brought my vehicle to AAA after replacing the OEM halogen lights with OEM LED lights. Due to voltage issues, the LED lights were flickering. The manager assured that they had the vehicle manufacturer software and equipment to correct the issue. The manager stated it would be an easy fix and would not take very long. After dropping off the vehicle, it sat most of the day. Upon calling me with an update, they informed me that they had spent several hours attempting to diagnose the issue and that it could be a power steering assist issue, but would require more diagnosis. At a hourly rate of $175, the bill adds up quickly. I questioned how they spent several hours looking at the vehicle as I work in the area and it was sitting outside the majority of the day and didn't move. At the shop and in further speaking with the manager and a couple of his employees, they all attempted to justify time spent on the vehicle. AAA informed that they were unable to perform a diagnostic test via their diagnostic equipment and were unable to get into the control module for vehicle programming. After a few minutes of listening to the manager and his crew attempt to justify their expertise and ability to repair vehicles, I left. A week later, I was able to get my vehicle into the local dealer. The tech immediately checked the computer, identified that it did not have the applicable code and added the LED code. Simple and painless. The manager of AAA was deceitful, attempted to inflate the bill with hours of diagnostic work and advised repair which had nothing to do with causing the lights to flicker. AAA should have admitted that they did not have the capability to perform the work due to the electronic features of the vehicle which requires proprietary software and licensing. Deceptive trade practices." (NRS 598) A garageman engages in "deceptive trade practices" when he knowingly states that services, replacement parts or repairs are needed when they are not. (NRS 598.092 (3).

Great service, John and Danny, took care of my Jeep and put a new engine in it. Great price, too. The service, after even better they fixed all of the little bugs after, too. Honest and to the point service. I recommend them everyone who needs car work done go see John and Danny!!!

They didn't do much,I had to trace the problem myself with no experience. Even after i told them about where the problem lies. Said to me i brought it to the right place..after it sat for 3 days and not starting it and checking it more for the 150$ they charged me. Great place! Customer service was great. Very professional & fully explained everything. Got me, a newly widowed senior woman traveling alone, back on the road safely & quickly & was less expensive than I expected, or was quoted by other shops.I broke down 2 hours out of Reno & was towed to another shop. After almost a week I was informed they could not do the repair at their facility. Luckily, I found John, who is a real gem. He found the original shop had misdiagnosed my problem & fully explained the issue. Honest. Knowledgeable. Professional. Informative.John & his crew went above & beyond my expectations & stuck to the budget we agreed on & even did more than was asked. I am forever indebted to John & his crew for rewiring my whole rig, fixed the air conditioning, & even took care of an alternator/battery issue that was presenting a future problem.John got me on the road better than when I left home & came in
under budget!Thank you John & your entire crew for your extensive knowledge, superior customer service, & for getting me back on the road safely saving my trip. I would definitely highly recommend this place to anybody!!!

FAST & AMAZING SERVICE- we called about our driver side door lock not working & even though they were super busy, they saw us same day! We took in our 2014 Lexus (ES300h) & it was ready within 2 hours! Great service & great affordable price- 100% will come back for future services.

Recently my husband and I were traveling from Arizona to Oregon. We experienced an engine issue and we reached out to AAA Auto Electric in the early evening hours on a Sunday. They told us to meet them at their shop at 8:30 am and within a couple hours they were able to rectify our engine issue and repaired it and have us back on the road. We found the employees to be welcoming and honest. We highly recommend them if you find yourself in need of a great mechanic shop in the Reno area.

Only these guys will touch my classic Jeep from now on. The owner John was professional and punctual. Not only immediately returning my calls but getting my ride into the shop same day. Basically only took a day to unfuck the electrical job of the last shop that didn't have the guts to just tell me they have no idea what they're doing.These guys are a little pricey, to be fair. But you can't put a price on competency these days.Take your ride in and ask for Danny at the front desk. He will get you handled.Thanks guys

Had my power steering go out while on Reno for work. With checking around for a repair shop AAA Electric was recommended a few times. Got my car to them at end of the day. Was able to have it checked, fixed and back to me by the end of the next day. All at a good price way better than other shops quoted. Quality service and highly recommend.Services: Electrical

John and his team did a great job. They were fast, fair and did quality work. The clear communication on what was needed for the repair was greatly appreciated. They fixed my control arms on my work truck so I could get back to work after the ball joint fell out and left my vehicle unusable. AAA auto electric was able to get me back on the road and ensure I was able to keep working to provide for my family. I will definitely be coming back for future work with them. I highly recommend them!
