Went in with a transmission that has only 30k on it, told them from the beginning the the governor needs checked.
The cap was leaking, and governor gear was stripped.
They didn't even look at the governor.
Just said I needed a rebuild.
All they did was drive it, pull the dipstick check fluid that is in perfect condition, and tell me I had a leak on water pump and oil cooler lines.
Only issue was the governor gear was stripped. Common issue with these due to nylon gear.
Could have made some money actually fixing the transmission instead of just quoting for new transmission.
Not worth your time. Or the diag fee.

Vehicle broke down after a $5,000 service; previous remarks included “Transmission looks great, no signs of damage — “has many years to come.” H2 Breaks down after a week; AAMCO cites transmission problems and solicited AT replacement for my H2 via third party.
Remarks electrical problems, vehicle ran worse following recommended direction.
REPLY: I continue to remark "'transmission looks wonderful, definitely not a transmission problem, [....] 'definitely has many years to come!" I inevitably convinced on repair recommendations of 'transfer case.', and provided down-escalation of my suspected suspicion regarding an underlying transmission problem; no real approximation of my HUMMER's breakdown provided.
As remarked, the vehicle broke down after "10 days" of routine operating in Reno-Sparks. Repair recommendation following second in-take were congruent with personal remarks during first repair! AAMCO failed to provide care of repair and ensure vehicle was operatable --could have confirmed adequate fluid levels before discharge and provided direction prior release to customer!
"AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS & TOTAL CAR CARE!"
I may seek civil recourse on lone merits of the shops remarks. I'm just blown away with their misleading confidence and repair recourse.
2. AAMCO insisted to waive storage fees, I as the customer never requested such movement, even demanded to reject discounted accumulated storage fee.

The guys got my car in on short notice and gave me the bad news, nothing they could do and that I needed to contact a dealership. They also checked something they don't do and my alignment was totally whacked. Great guys.

AAMCO in AZ has been our best shop for repairs for years. This time we were traveling out of state and had to get over the mountain before night fall on a FRIDAY. We realized we had quite a significant leak, so we called ahead and told AAMCO we would be arriving in a couple of hours, and hopefully they could take a look as previous customers on file. When we finally arrived, they were ready for us immediately, and pulled our vehicle right into the shop and got it up on the lift for inspection. They were able to identify the issue and reassure me to feel comfortable for the rest of the trip that lay ahead. The staff was so full of positive encouragement and supportive advice to follow. We made the trip with no issues after that and felt so much better after we consulted our favorite repair shop, even though we had never been to this location, it was just like stopping by to visit distant relatives.
?? Thank you soo much AAMCO!

They’ll take advantage of you and treat you like an idiot if you’re a woman. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

I had my car and van fixed at Aamco. They did a great job on both. The cost was good compared to others that I checked with. My van transmission was serviced and the cost was about $300 cheaper than Lythia Dodge. I had my brakes and rotors on my car changed and it was about $300 cheaper than what Les Schwab told me they would charge me. Gabriel was very friendly and helpful - much better service than I’ve had with both Lythia Hyundai and Corwin where I recently bought a car from each. The other guys were also very friendly. And when I left with my brakes fixed - wow - I could totally tell the difference! It was like my car was brand new again! Amazing! Also, I was able to get my car in there at 1:30 and they had me out of there by 3:30 and they fixed my brakes, changed 2 belts, and changed a cv axle shaft. I would totally recommend this place to everyone I know. Each time I’ve been there I was treated very well and my cars were fixed. This is my new “go to” place to have my car checked and fixed. Thanks so much Aamco for giving me excellent service! ?

Gabriel and the team at AAMCO ensured a smooth repair for me and my family when the engine and turbo went out on my 2016 Buick Regal. They were communicative, fast and friendly. I was upfront about all my concerns and they were quick to help, providing different price ranges for different repair options. They were kind and patient through all my questions. Whenever a potential issue began to arise they were timely in a resolution. They have gained a forever customer for all current and future vehicles from my family and I.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE
Took my car here per my warranty had the worst experience, my car had a little bit of smoke coming from under the hood paid to have it towed for obvious reasons. Mind you i documented with photos and video of what my car was doing thru out this entire process. They told me it was the valve cover gasket and said they would fix it did the pulleys spark plugs oil change. Not after 5 minutes from picking up my car every system malfunctioned, my dash light up couldn't drive over 10 miles per hour. They had it towed back took them 4 hours to tell me they had a defect on a spark plug, cool they replaced it and I was on my way. 5 days later same thing my dash light up every system malfunctioned. Called them immediatelyi paid to have it towed back to them as they don't cover towing. They had my car for a day. Said it must have been a bunch of bad spark plugs. Ok fine. They replaced it and guaranteed my car would drive to california and back as im going on vacation in august ,no problems everything is fixed. 6 days later my car is smoking worse then before. Dropped it back off with them, now they are telling me it was the timing chain cover and they needed to replace the entire thing. Which by the way I have already spent 250 per tow x2 and another almost 800 for the original issue and now this would cost 3k. Told them no I'd be taking it to the dealer, mind u I had to beg the dealer to look at my car as they are booked until june. I'm looking at being 2 weeks without a car at the dealer on top of the numerous days I had to call out to go pick up my vehicle. This place only made my car worse with empty promises that my car was fixed "it was perfect". What a shame. Do not reccomend.
EDIT TO ADD MY DEALERSHIPS NOTES:
aamco over filled my oil by 2 quarts. Timing cover and timing are perfectly fine. They fou d absolutely no leaks in the timing per my dealership, but they fear that you over filling of my oil.. cracked the head on my motor. Thanks for that.. way to go aamco for trying to charge me 3k for something that's not broken, and over filling the oil by 2 quarts I do have receipts from my dealerships diagnostics also. What a scam if I could give you zero stars I would. Also please have your insurance reach out to me so I can file a claim ,immediately
