It has been an absolute pleasure working with Arthur Johnson! He was very easy to talk to And was able to accommodate my schedule with no problem! He has a great sense of humor and some really amazing stories. Arthur is a lovely man that I would have in my home, anytime.

Our former piano tuner retired and I called Art. My Yamaha U5 hadn't been tuned in several years and I was very happy with Art's work. He'll be coming back on a regular basis from now on.

Art is a gem! My rebuilt 1923 Christman New York grand was in bad need of tuning and some adjustments. It has a Dampp Chaser humidity control system, with which Art is familiar. Several keys were self sustaining. Art took this on as a personal challenge, even when he had to return on a second trip to finish the job. On his second trip, a string broke and Art restrung the key with new wire. He also inspected the humidity control system and confirmed it is working as intended. His prices are fair with a small $25 up charge to come to Carson City. He is not precisely punctual but his skill, knowledge, and demeanor more than compensate! I look forward to a long piano tuning relationship with Art.

A little over 4 years ago I bought a new Yamaha full size upright from the dealer. Because I did not know that it had not been properly prepared before delivery, those 4 years were filled with increasing frustration and disappointment. Pieces I could easily play on my Yamaha digital were seemingly technically beyond me on my new Yamaha acoustic no matter how much I practiced. Though I had 2 different technicians during this time who tuned (4 times per year) and made minor adjustments, nothing changed for me.
Then I discovered Art who suggested and performed a long, long overdue regulation on my Yamaha U3. Once again I'm in love with playing. Now I finally have the instrument I had dreamed of owning.
Art is prompt, courteous, professional, and most importantly, and extremely knowledgeable and skilled piano technician. I couldn't recommend him more highly.
