I've had this bank for years, but I think I am finally going to switch over now. They have cancelled my debit card for the last time! Any time I step 30 miles out of my regular city and use my card, they block it and have to send me a new card. Funny thing is, my card still processes payments even if it is "blocked" but cashiers still say it is unusable. So, im still being charged, just not receiving the services I paid for.AWFUL bank. I've dealt with their incompetency LONG ENOUGH!

We have been extremely disappointed with this Galena branch BofA, simply due to their hours. We have banked with this branch for almost 20 years. I was told by BofA they didn't have enough Saturday business, so they decided to close on Saturdays. The Saturday closure was prior to Covid, so no relation. They close on weekdays at 4:00. The only time working people can get into the bank is their lunch hour, as most don't get off work until 5:00pm. Of course this means lunch hours are busy and this can cause returning to work late. I had to close my safety deposit box because they now require to be escorted into vault and the wait time to get personnel to help was not convenient either. We are opening another account at a different bank today, and may transfer all accounts in due time. Extremely poor business decisions, no concern for their customers. Very unfortunate. As far as their employees, all are very friendly.

The hours have apparently been cut short due to covid I'm assuming. Not sure why if we are all required to wear masks... went in to get a certified check for my rent. Doors locked way before 4 pm. Now I will be charged more fees for being late on my rent. Great. You're already cutting hours making it difficult for working people to get to the bank and also removed Saturday hours. Then you close earlier than the posted time?! Completely inconsiderate. This branch has given me several issues from atm issues to denying assistance with card replacement... I will NOT come back here and highly recommend no one else does.

15 year customer dismayed at the manager who spouted off bank policy of why they are holding 10k of my 16k deposit from a week ago still no exceptions thus showing a zero balance in my business account. I had another 3k to deposit today. You know I just paid off my b of a credit card and Saturday after you finally release my funds I’m going to come in Monday and close my business account! I’m going to a bank that cares about me as a customer! $12 fee for being zero balance still Manager doesn’t even try and waive that? SMH 30 years in management. You have a lot to learn. Thank you for showing me the way to the competition.

Easy in and out, tellers are great. Generally, don't have a problem with them talking endlessly to customers while there is a line. But sometimes the customer is not prepared or they want attention and they try to stand there and chat even when there are people waiting to do business. Lori is great and I enjoy doing business with her. She has been excellent in helping me close my mothers estate account. She gets MORE than FIVE STARS. But be aware that most things other than taking money our or putting money in the bank require an appointment. Many times I have walked in thinking it was something simple just to find out I need and appointment and appointments get double booked.

Notary sucks. Waited 45 minutes for a scheduled apt. Her manager finally had to remind her. Tellers are great. Notary is not.

Today, I came in at 4:48 to get a replacement ATM card while on my phone, but attentive to those around me. Hopped in line for a few seconds before sitting in a chair to the side. At 10 until their close at 5 pm, a gentleman, the AVP Financial Center manager that I will call Mr. L., came up to me and asked what he could do for me. I asked to receive help replacing my ATM card. He said that they wouldn't be able to do that as his 2 bankers currently were helping other customers and there was only 5 minutes before they closed. I said? "You mean 10 minutes?," and he said sorry and guessed that his watch was fast--it most certainly was. I sort of looked at him a bit surprised for maybe 10 to 20 seconds. He knew that I was not satisfied with this interaction. At this point my call to phone customer service at BofA finally answered so we sort of mutually waived each other off while I then got onto the phone. I watched as the manager then sort of wandered about and talked with his minions. I almost wanted to force the issue a bit despite really not wanting to be "that guy." But ultimately I just gave up. I never appreciate being in a position of feeling like I might be a complainy customer in order to be treated as a worthwhile customer. It was clear that while polite Mr. L. had little to no desire to help me. There was no apology, at least nothing beyond a perfunctory one that I might have skipped over, about being unable/unwilling to help me with my business that day. I was not told when they opened again. I was not told of other options to resolve my issue, such as via phone service, online or via their app. I was not told of another BofA nearby that might be open later. I did return to the bank after walking outside to look for its address on the door (it's not listed). I walked back in, not on the phone, and help wasn't offered but Mr Lopez also didn't shy away when I asked his name. I was not given a card. I grabbed that myself. How long does it take to replace an ATM card? Why can't the manager do it if he's just wandering about? Why can't a teller do it? If I'm inside well before 5 p.m. shouldn't they want to do it? There's either a BofA institutional issue, an issue with the customer service culture of this store or likely both. To top it all off, I'm fairly certain that I was drugged while out on my own the night that I lost my card. I will not be returning to this location. I don't see why I should rack up all the credit card transaction fees for BofA when I could instead help another company receive them. I don't see why I would go there for an auto loan, home loan, brokeage services or other financial services if I will be totally blown off for what should be a fairly easy transaction with 10 minutes until closing. And not being in professional atire when it's my day off shouldn't excuse treating me differently if that's what it was all about (long sleeve button up shirt, jeans and slightly messy hair that may have gone unnoticed, not clean shaven).

Located off of Wedge Parkway and Mt. Rose Highway, it is very accessible. Very rarely go into this Bank of America, but when I do, the tellers are very nice and helpful. I found out that they will give you heavy duty plastic bags for your loose change. You fill the bags up to the lined marker, go to teller. He/she will fill out your account number, etc, and send the change off to the main Bank of America where your change is counted. In 5-7 days, your counted money is deposited into your account. I had almost $300.00 collected which was 2 bags of coins. The inside of the bank is very pleasant. Some days can be very busy with only 2 tellers but most days it's an easy in and out. I have used the walk up and drive through ATMs. They are always working Bank of America has good returns on their credit cards and good bennies for certain amounts in your account. Been a customer for 30 + years
