This is a horrible place for day care! The owners only care about making money, and don't care about the kids. Employees go to work sick and don't get sent home.

Could not ask for a better preschool. As you can imagine, you need to make sure that your child is safe anywhere you take them. The staff here went above and beyond in every way possible. They have a great app where they keep you updated, everyone is professional and then some and my daughter loves going everyday. If you need a trusted place that is professional, safe and care about both the kids and the parents; this is the place.

We are newer to Reno and feel really grateful we found an option for our little one to continue his daycare/preschool during a lot of transition. He loves going to school and his care providers are very passionate to help these little ones grow!

We have had nothing but positive experiences with CP! The owner Joanne is extremely experienced and practical. All of the teachers are kind, safe, and do a wonderful job passing on their knowledge to the kids.

All three of my children attended Caughlin Preschool and I can't say enough good things. The owner is there almost everyday so she's present in all that is happening. The staff have all been extremely loving, gentle and supportive of my children at all stages (infancy and up). In addition to this, the facility is so clean! For the many years we used Caughlin Preschool I KNEW my children were safe and loved. Highly recommend!!!

I have had at least one of my kids enrolled in Caughlin Preschool for the past 11 years. Teachers come and go, as do they with any preschool- that's the nature of the industry. But what has been a constant is the commitment from the director to ensure that teachest put the needs of the child first, care genuinely and create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Caughlin Preschool goes above and beyond to ensure that each child feels valued, respected, and supported, and follows a curriculum carefully designed to meet the needs of each individual child. I love how the curriculum is always delivered in a way that is engaging, interactive, and fun. From arts and crafts to music and movement, there is always something exciting happening at this school.Overall, I cannot recommend Caughlin Preschool highly enough. If you're looking for a preschool that will give your child a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth, while allowing them to be silly, have fun and be a kid, this is the place to be.

It seems we are the only family to review recently, and there’s been a change in management and staff. We moved our toddler son from a daycare/preschool that was further away to this one since it was closer. We paid an enrollment fee and set him up for 2 days per week. The first day we dropped him off, he was outside putting sand in his mouth, not being supervised. We thought it was a fluke, brought him back. We pick him up the next time and he has snot all over his face. We ask the care providers if they typically just refuse to help kids clean their noses if they’re out in the cold and get runny. They said they would help him. We show up the next time to pick him up, now he has both snot and and sand all over his face. We ask why no one helped him, and we’re told “because we didn’t have wipes for him.” We did bring wipes for him, the other care provider remembered where they were- but even still, you can’t use a tissue? Did they refuse to clean him or change his diaper all day because they didn’t know where his baby wipes were? Every single time we dropped him off, the daycare staff was horribly negligent. Toddlers were left outside with almost no supervision in the far corners of the play area, kids had food and snot all over their faces, all trying to use the bathroom while potty training with little to no supervision so getting pee everywhere. It was astounding. We called the school, explained the situation. Not only did they refuse to return the enrollment fee that we paid assuming that our son would receive remotely acceptable care, but they charged us for two weeks, citing the fact that “they require two week notice for cancellation”- apparently, even if they’re negligent and refuse to care for the babies and toddlers in their building. I cannot fathom any parent who loves or cares for their child leaving them here. We picked our son up early or dropped him off late, when other parents may not typically walk in, and what we saw on top of how our son was treated was just so awful.

Very low level of communication from the director and school itself, they decided to not inform me that my older son's final day would be the Friday before. If you have a child that may be special needs DO NOT waste your time and go here, they are not able to work with children or fully educated in working with children wih forms of special needs.

One of the best directors I came across with was Myra. She is no longer working there, New director is inexperienced "director" . Told me herself. Doesn't really show care for the kids, or teachers or parents. Would not take my kid here again.

I worked at this pre school for only two years before I got fired for something silly (due to my licensing). Long story short , there was never an issue before until the owner came back from her "vacation" to fire me even though things were already scheduled and communicated. I could honestly say I was one of the best teachers there, teachers and other parents can and would agree. It was almost like a explosion , I updated my class, books, circle time activities, baught toys and supplies, orginized all closets and cubbies in my room because my classroom was the biggest one in the school. (Girrafes class) and absolutely no one cared. There are little girls working at this school, that barley graduated high school with zero experience. I would not reccomend the school to work at nor to take your child to. Save your money and go some place else the Owner of this school JOANNE absolutely cares about no ones feelings , expectations or hard work. Shes had no idea what to do in any class room, it almost makes you wonder if she ever experienced being a teacher herself before opening her own childcare business.

Our son has been going to Caughlin since he was 8 weeks. He loves it. They were very supportive of me coming to breastfeed every 2 hours for a year. All of his teachers have been great. Any time I had a concern, Myra and Tammy always listened. Myra is wonderful. I know that when I talk with her she is listening and my concerns are taken care of immediately. Myra and Caughlin have been more than wonderful during this COVID-19 crisis, too. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy.

I will give you the facts and you can decide for yourself. We signed up our 2 and a half year old son here. He is a pretty relaxed kid. No disabilities or issues. We asked them how to help him adjust and they kept telling us to just be consistent with dropping off and picking off. We did that. Our son was crying after nap times. I asked if it's because he would wake up and realize he is in an unfamiliar place and they said yes, most likely. After a few days, we were told that they were going to give him another few days to adjust and if he didn't, we should look elsewhere. He never did anything wrong (like being physical with other kids or anything), except for being sad he was in an unfamiliar place. So, Caughlin Preschool was only going to be patient with him for a week and a half. As soon as they told us that, we took him out of this preschool. We didn't want our son to be watched by people who didn't want him there. We took our money elsewhere. He adjusted well to his new daycare, Caughlin Club Kidz, within 4 weeks. Also, I keep writing this same review and they keep getting it deleted. Future customers, be aware.
