Never buy gas here, its right off the freeway and may seem convenient but you can save between $2-3 PER GALLON if you just drive a few blocks away to a different station.

Based purely on the guy at the counter

The prices for fuel here are over inflated. I can only guess that plenty of tourists are paying it out of convenience being next to the hotels.. As a local, I keep my eye on the gas prices, and this one is usually 1.50 more per gallon than the (cheapest station)..that being said to fill my tank here would cost me $27.00 more than on Mill St/Kietzki Ln.

Worst gas station in Reno. Gas is $1-2 above market value. Even drinks and snacks are inflated. Owner is a scam artist. DONT GO HERE EVER

Seriously people, please stop buying gas here. You can find stations for nearly $1 a gallon less by going one exit either direction on the freeway.

The clerk was rude and snobby and completely out of line with her racist outbursts. If your ever visiting someone at the Hospital across the street don't go in there for anything, if your not getting gas there your not allowed to be there ,use the RR,buy food or drink or anything else! They're prejiduced

I ran outta gas and couldn't get anyone on the phone so I walked from Lake St. at 4 th. St just up from the public bus and train station to Chevron. Now it's the closest gas station in the downtown area. I didn't have much money, .65 cents. I went in to pay and get the gas but the cashier on duty unformed me that I couldn't get any gas. I asked why and was told there was a minimum purchase of $1.50. This was a dilemma. So, I was forced to ask people to help me (panhandle) to get enough to get my gas. The first two men just look at me like either I was crazy or or they didn't speak English and couldn't understand. I asked another man who ignored me completely. I'd been there about 30 minutes when two ladies in a big truck pull thru and I told them my story. The lady was a kind soul, took pity on my dilemma and offered me $3.00. So I went back in and got the gas. Just goes to show that angels do inhabit the earth. And I'm grateful!!**Be aware that you can't get gas at Chevron downtown unless you have the minimum purchase price. Even though it's the only gas station neatest downtown.**

Close proximity to the downtown area and other factors give the staff reason to be on alert. The prices are relative to the location of the establishment.

Avoid this place and just head a few miles down the freeway to get gas that's nearly a $1/gallon cheaper.
