So every other week he has brought me a 5 pack of chocolate covered cherries. The last packs of chocolate cherries had mostly turned white no problem, the next pack once again were mostly all white and the last one I received they weren't all white just a few I know that u can still eat them but the taste isn't quite the same I guess there only good during the holidays to bad!

Gayle and I were in Reno last Friday for Lunch and cards with Jim and Marti. As we we leaving, Gayle mentioned that she wanted to by some chocolates for our friend Fern who we would be visiting the next day as part of her birthday weekend. We also later bought Cheese Board (Berkeley) corn cherry scones for her husband Don. Marti recommended Dorinda's, so before long, we were heading Downtown/Riverside kind of our way back home. Gayle and I were first struck by the beautiful and leafy Riverside neighborhood. In fact, we immediately thought that this would be a great area to live, if we ever wanted to escape the relative isolation and occasional family drama of our beloved Genoa. As Beaujolais Bistro is also next door, we'll have some additional opportunity to explore. We ended up with a very nice box of assorted chocolates for our friend. We were very impressed with the friendly and interactive service, and the variety that we had to choose from. And Fern was very grateful and pleased. And of course, we picked out a few sweet bites for ourselves.

We were a party of 8, had dinner at the French restaurant next door. We ordered the rolled ice cream. For $9 per cup of rolled ice cream, we were not impressed. It's more like shaved ice with caramel. It just wasn't very good. The staff was great & friendly, the ice cream is an over priced miss. Not worth the price or calories, looks more appealing than it tastes. The place is clean & has a cute patio.

Below average quality of ice cream. The base milk or cream is too sugary and oily. Didnt enjoy it at all. The service should also be better. Very dry.

I usually go to Dorindas at Rancharrah but love this location. In the cutest little shopping center across from the Truckee river-so beautiful! They also have a partnership here with Rolled Mountain Creamery so you can get great chocolates and ice cream at same location. Right now they have the blackberry cheesecake bonbon for Reno Food Week and it's amazing!

Went for the wine and chocolate pairing event. Reasonably priced for the amount of wine and chocolate that I got. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. The cheese grazing board was also nice to be ave with the wine and chocolate! I will definitely consider attending another one of their events in the future.

Yum!!! Excellent ice cream (and chocolates) right by the River. I've never had rolled ice cream before and watching them make it was half the fun. Very friendly servers too!

(Went on a Sunday afternoon, for context) Really nice and knowledgable counter person. Prices are really good at either $1.75 or $3 per truffle, depending on the size. They all looked delectable. They had other chocolate goods as well, like pretzels, bars, and fruit. Their caramel on a cloud truffle is amazing. The naked 70% truffle is also tastefully sweetened to highlight just the ganache. The carmelia truffle is decadent and really like a cross between chcolate and caramel. They also have samples. 5/5 would go again.

You cannot go wrong with Dorinda's chocolates. These are melt in your mouth heavenly delicious. We've popped into the shop so many times over the years, mostly while walking the Truckee, or when grabbing coffee next door. The salted Carmels are my absolutely favorite, but everything is delicious. My most recent experience with Dorinda's was for Mother's Day. I wanted to send my mom a little something to celebrate her but also wasn't interested in buying her more consumer stuff, flowers, or a plant, and when I saw an email pop up from Dorinda's that was promoting Mother's Day gift boxes I knew that was what I wanted to get! My mom was so pleased with her gift box and said the chocolates were the best she'd ever had! She also loved that I sent something different this year so I think I'm onto something for future Mother's Day gifts... possibly other gifts too!
