I have been renting a unit here fir almost a year. I wanted to downsize my current unit to a smaller one. Sean was at the front desk a week ago when I came in to check out the smaller unit, he was very helpful showing the unit to me, and said it wouldn’t be a problem. So I went in this morning and promptly he did the paperwork and helped me downsize quickly and easily. A very impressive employee with a great attitude. Thanks Sean… it was so easy with your help!

I have been using them for a few years now and they have been great. I had an issue with the garage door on my unit but they addressed it and accommodated me. I would use them again they are convenient to my location.

I have been a loyal customer at this facility for several years. I keep my unit neat and tidy, have never bothered the office for anything, and have paid my bill on time ever month via auto pay. When I first started renting my unit here it was around $100 month for a 10x10 indoor upstairs unit. When West Coast bought out the original owners, they increased my rate to $154 a month. Now they have jacked my rent up to $187 a month. I looked on their web site and found the rent for a 10x10 unit upstairs was $99-$114 per month regular price, on sale for $79-$91 per month. When I called and questioned the huge difference in price I was told this was the cost for new customers only and after they moved in their rent would be going up just like mine has. So beware of renting here, they have no customer loyalty and no concern in retaining loyal customers. I understand inflation can dictate cost increases but feel this is pure greed. If you’re going to charge this much, charge it from the beginning so the buyer knows what to expect. Luring people in with low rent and then jacking it up to nearly double the amount is wrong. It sounds like bait and switch to me. (The action of advertising goods with the intention of substituting inferior OR more expensive goods). Shame on you!!

Great response! The website was confusing and I ended up with multiple reservations, plus the fee didn’t agree with the website. The manager called me and straightened everything out. All employees were very friendly and professional.

I don't usually post negative reviews about a business, but there is a first time for everything. So here it goes: I have been a loyal customer at West Coast Storage in South Virginia for several years (since 2019. I keep my unit neat and tidy, have never bothered the office staff for anything, and have paid my bill on time ever month via auto pay. When I first started renting my unit there it was around $100 month for my 10x10 indoor upstairs unit. When West Coast bought out the original owners, they increased my rate to $154 a month. When I first got my unit the man who had got me into my unit was super helpful. However, I had put in my 30 day notice and I got all of my stuff out of the unit on July 1st when my last day was the 3rd. Knowing that I gave my notice they should fully understand that obviously my unit would be empty by then cause I was also in touch with them over the phone on when my due date was and to have the unit empty. After that I had received another balance of $100 for the month of July and I was a bit confused on why I was being charged a full month when my last day was July 3rd. I ended up calling them and a woman named Ashley had spoken to me. She was very unpleasant to talk to and seemed as though she didn't want to do her job. Now I had spoken to this lady a couple times on the phone and she had seemed to always have a negative attitude and talked to me like I was stupid. When I had asked about the balance she very aggressively said "did you call us to let us know you had moved out of the unit" when again the whole point of a 30 day notice was to let them know when I'd be cleaning out my unit. Lastly she had told me that she would remove the balance but I still had $8 to pay. At this point I was super annoyed because of the way she was speaking to me so I just basically said whatever, paid the $8, and hung up. Not saying I don't recommend this storage unit but Ashley should not be the one answering the phones.

The Lady in the office was very professional towards me and my fiance and showed us around to our unit. We will definitely be doing business here again. She took the time out to explain the process and prices to us.

Was a good place before new ownership. Now all they do is charge ridiculous rates for small spaces. Not worth it, dont bother with this place.

The prices are ridiculous!!! I'm retired military and left my worldly positions in TX in 2 storage units after retirement. I'm paying half thier sqft quoted $ for 2 units. This is outrageous for 1 unit. It's 4x the price for just one unit I'm already paying for. I'm on a walkabout and I was looking for temp storage while I'm back in Reno. Welcome back to Eastern California.

Their layout for the units is best described as a labyrinth to anyone visiting for the first time. Also, check at the front office first that they have removed their lock from the unit if you choose to rent online. The woman at the front desk was very kind and accommodating when I asked to have the lock removed. They offer great specials on renting units here every so often, although it seems prices go way up during the summertime.
