You can no longer order parts from Fastenal for a pickup at the Bennie Lane store as an individual. You used to be able to. Businesses only now. You have to order on line for non-businesses/personal purchases and pay for shipping. I talked to corporate and they said this was the stores decision, it is not a Fastenal corporate policy. $12.50 to $190.00 in shipping for $17.00 in bolts. What a rip off! Why even have a store front. I ordered from Harfington.com instead. Parts were same price and shipping was free. I give two stars because the woman I spoke with on the phone at Bennie Lane was very courteous & polite and took time to verify if the various M3 bolts I need were in stock. Which would not require a business license to make a personal purchase and I could stop by and pick them up. We got to item three on my list with nothing being in stock. With more to go on my list and lack of any real hope of fulfilling a single item, I thanked them and politely hung up. Forever.

I manage a couple apartment complexes in Truckee and require a high demand of maintenance supplies. Karla from Fastenal has taken much stress of my shoulders with always making sure my properties aren't lacking any supplies and re stocking for us when needed. I appreciate her calls checking in to see what we have low in stock and I can always count on her to delivery material on time or even after hours if needed. I work with many vendors and Karla is one of my favorites. Thank you Karla for everything and helping my properties run smoothly.

If you tell someone you won't quote and to figure out the price online themselves, then refuse to actually sell for that price, why route to the internet in the first place?
