I had a really great experience with Gilliam Construction. From the beginning, they were easy to work with and very straightforward. Their bid came in lower than other companies in the Reno area, but the quality of the work did not feel “lower” at all—in fact, it was excellent. The job was finished on time, the workmanship was solid, and the final result turned out exactly how I wanted it. The crew was professional, paid attention to the details, and didn’t cut corners. Overall, everything about the project went smoothly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for good construction work done right.

I hired Gilliam Construction to renovate my flooded bathroom. We don’t live in Tahoe, so it was all coordinated via phone and email and was an excellent experience.
They communicated effectively, sending regular updates and photos, which reassured me while I was out of town. Their coordination of logistics was good, managing everything from demolition to installation. They picked up supplies from various stores which I ordered to make the out of town experience easier.
The quality of work is outstanding, and the bathroom looks great. I highly recommend Gilliam Construction for any renovation needs.

I couldn’t be happier with the work Gilliam Construction did on my home! Larry came out to fix my drains and did an incredible job. He explained everything clearly and ensured the problem was entirely resolved. A huge shoutout to Jake as well! He was quickly responsive, answering all my questions and requests right away. We hired Gilliam to complete a remodel after a water loss in our master bathroom. Jake and his team were wonderful to work with. Jake and Larry were extremely responsive and helped support me through the entire process, including communication with my claims adjuster. The attention to detail the team provided throughout was exceptional. The guys were polite, friendly, and courteous. I would highly recommend Gilliam for your next project.

We hired Gilliam Construction after interviewing 4 potential candidates for our hot tub surround deck build. Jake was professional, punctual and knowledgeable. I gave him my extremely rudimentary drawings and explained what we were looking to build. He gave us a quote in a timely manner and while he wasn’t the least expensive , he also wasn’t the most expensive. What lead us to chose him was he personality and professionalism. He was very easy to work with, and was flexible. He happily worked within our timeframe and his team built exactly what we wanted. They did it quickly, but more importantly they were professional and knowledgeable guys and they built us a quality deck that will last us a very very long time. We have recommended them to some our family and neighbors for their projects and we recommend them to you as well. 10/10

Gilliam construction recently did a remodel of our family room. It entailed removal of an inefficient gas fireplace thereby extending the size of our entertainment niche. All I can say is that the crew was extremely professional, efficient and knowledgeable. I also want to add that Jake’s pricing was very competitive with the three other bids that I received from other licensed and insured contractors. I have a few more projects that I will need done in the future and I will certainly be using this company again

We hired Gilliam to remodel our bathroom and update the flooring throughout our home, which hadn't been renovated since the 1950s. Gilliam Construction did a great job on our house remodel. We had our Kitchen, and 3 bathrooms remodeled, our flooring replaced, and they built us a custom stair railing which was beautiful.
The whole process from start to finish was much easier, than I thought it was going to be. They were very easy to deal with. All of their workers and subcontractors all did a great job and easy to deal with. I would recommend them and use them again in the future if I need something else done.

I had Gilliam Construction recess my subfloor in the bathroom as well as handle all the plumbing, vanity, and electrical work. The result was stunning.
They even spent extra time, making sure the inside cabinets were cut neatly to fit the new drain requirements to code.
I'm looking forward to working with them again on my next project currently.

We recently had Gilliam Construction perform construction work in the crawl space of our new home and are really impressed with everything. They responded to all of our emails and calls, were upfront and trustworthy. They started on the day they told us they would start, and they finished the job in the expected time frame also. Their crew is very friendly, and every day explained to us what they were doing and let us know the progression of the job, etc. We highly recommend them!
