It's really very hard to review a business like this because there are so many emotions over the loss of a pet. We unexpectedly lost our fur baby the day before Thanksgiving this year and we were completely devastated. Not a whole lot prepares you for the expected loss of a pet, but absolutely nothing prepares you for the unexpected loss of a pet. The people at Heart's Companion will show you incredible kindness, compassion, and care at a time when you so desperately need it and you really don't know what you need. When we arrived they could see we weren't ready to make decisions so escorted us to a private grieving room where we stayed for quite awhile. They gave us our space until we were ready to talk logistics and then very patiently and kindly talked us through our options and made suggestions when we needed them. I truly cannot emphasize the kindness and compassion they showed us. We went with the cremation package that came with a simple wooden box and also opted to get a paw print imprint done. Hearts Companion called us when our fur baby was ready to be picked up and then again when the paw print was finished. The paw print imprint is beautiful and so special; I highly recommend getting this done. They also gave us a clipping of our fur baby's fur. I didn't know about this in advance and I'm so glad we got one. Again, the worst of circumstances to have to review this business but so grateful for Hearts Companion for the work they do so people like me can have this service. One alternate suggestion is to take your pet in while they're still alive so you can do their paw print and have it in your home while they're still with you.

I would highly recommend them. Dr. Ulrich was fantastic. She was compassionate and caring. She made sure that we understood the process and took as much time as we needed. We couldn't be more pleased at the respect she showed our dog. It was a peaceful ending to our beloved pet. Initially, we spoke on the phone with Sierra, who was very patient and addressed all our concerns so we could make the best decision for our family. This was definitely it. We will use them for our other dog when the time comes.

The staff at Hearts Companion were so compassionate and kind when I had to have my 18 year old cat euthanized this week. Dr Brockus took ample time for the process and explained each step.

Unfortunately I had to use this service yesterday! We had to put out baby down. From the first phone call to the veterinarians departure was a wonderful experience full of compassion and patience. Susan L. Brockus (veterinarian) was friendly and VERY compassionate. She took such care with Flash. They even called me to say he arrived “safe and sound.” I can’t express my appreciation enough for this service. RIP Flash

We just had to send our 19 year-old kitty to the Rainbow Bridge and I couldn’t be happier that I chose Heart’s Companion to perform the euthanasia for us. Our little man was ready to go after suffering fromrenal failure and we don’t take our pets in to the vet’s office for this anymore as it’s so much less stressful for everyone involved, especially the animal, to do it in the comfort of our home. Dr. Brocus was AMAZING! So calm, caring and compassionate and so gentle with our cat. She was very thorough in explaining every part of the process to us ( even though this wasn’t our first rodeo) and our cat’s passing couldn’t have gone any easier or smoother. None of these situations are pleasant or comfortable but Dr. Brocus made it as easy for us and our little cat as anyone possibly could. We are forever grateful to her for that. I can’t really say that we’ve had any bad experiences with the other vet that has come out to take care of our other aged animals, but this time, with Heart’s Companion, was by far the easiest and the best.

The docs and staff at Heart's Companion are wonderful: they made an extremely sad and stressful day as comforting as could be possible. Sierra, who answered my call regarding the need to move up the scheduling for my Lab baby, was compassionate, and did so on very short notice. And...Dr. Ullrich could not have been more caring. Thank you to all!

It was time for our beloved Bella to leave us and we decided for in home euthanasia. Dr. Susan Brockus came to our home. She was very compassionate and caring. She did not rush the process and let us decide when the time was right. She was so gentle with our girl and her passing seemed easy for Bella. We are grateful for Dr. Brockus very her caring and calm demeanor from the beginning to the end. All at Hearts Companion were very caring and helped us through the entire process. This is the second pet that Hearts Companion helped us with. We are very grateful to all. Our beloved Garin and Bella.

All the staff I talked to were very understanding and kind. Dr Ulrich was exceptionally patient. She was very understanding and took her time to explain things and comfort me. She made a very sad time easier. I can't say enough good things about her. I have already recommended Hearts Companion to a couple of friends.

They were wonderful. We went to Tahoe for a weekend get away. Brought our baby girl with us. We were there for a hour and she passed unexpectedly. We had to leave her there and drove back home with out her . 31/2 hours away. The following week I was off on a Friday and wanted to drive to the vet to get her. So I called hearts Companion and asked if they could have her to the vet for me a week earlier than expected and they said of course. And they did. We picked her up and felt relieved she is home with us now. Thank you so much..

This is a business that you don't want to go to but if you do they will take care of you. They truly care.During a heartbreaking time, the staff at Hearts Companion is phenomenal as always. My buddy Pete passed suddenly and it was heartbreaking. The staff did everything possible to make sure all I had to do was grieve and not worry about anything else. They even went above and beyond when I mentioned I would like to have my previous two hedgehog's urns engraved, they took care of creating two additional urns for me to transfer them into with spots for pictures. I know my buddy Pete was in good hands on his final travels and now he's home. Thank you Hearts Companion for taking care of my best friend Repeat "Pete" and my hedgehogs Peter Quill and Reginald Tiberius Hedgington when they traveled over the bridge.

My experience with Hearts Companion, over all, was very grateful. They were compassionate & caring. That makes a TON of difference when you are so heartbroken & distraught. They are very thoughtful, as well, to preserve any last memories for you.

I'm definitely not impressed with the phone service I had with Hearts Companion this morning. The lady was super rude and didn't seem to give a care about customer service. What kind of business offers these services, has no doctors on staff and can't help? I've used them once before with our old pup, but when my buddy needs them now they are not available. It's like going to McDonald's just to find out they no cooks or food. My suggestion, close for the day if you can't do your job properly.
