I found Hong Kong Nails 16 years ago. I needed my toes done because I couldn't do them myself any more. Yen is so gentle and good at what she does. I also get my nails done too. She is also affordable due to my fixed income. I recommend Hong Kong Nails for your pedicures and manicures ?

Took an hour and a half for a basic full set... I didn't complain but my nails are so uneven. They are very nice but the actual service is horrible !

Do not, I repeat do not come here. I spent 2 hours sitting in the chair for an acrylic fill and I've never had nails done this horribly in my life. I left crying. I wasted my money. The quality of my nails are despicable. They never even used a top coat. Just gel. The gel lamp was cheap and didn't cure properly either. I am so upset.

Located inside the Reno Town Mall, the location is older and has character to it. It's honestly such a cute way to enjoy something that's still preserved from such a time ago.But just be aware, the area seemed sketchy and there seemed to be lots of druggies passing by or attempting to enter the building. That being said, there is a security desk at the front entrance and most of the shops seem to be quite peaceful and relaxed. But you can definitely tell there's a reason to be aware of your surroundings more than normal.As you enter the front, the nail salon is located to the first hall on the right. It's located across the wedding dress store.It's cluttered, older, a little outdated, but honestly it doesn't bother me. I think it's super adorable, it's a small business and honestly very fairly priced. I called ahead to make sure they were free to do a mani+pedi. They finished two people on the chairs and I sat in the third. Kim did my service.Some things that popped into my head, I was a little concerned about the tools sitting in a cup. The tools may have been cleaned, but was the cup cleaned? The caddy she used looked a little unclean.The pedicure and manicure, honestly it was probably one of the least detailed services I've ever had in a nail salon. I attached photos which I'm dreading because I have wide feet and non too feminine hands lol. But the nails weren't cut evenly and were not filed down evenly. Lots of cuticles were not clipped.I was charged $40 total which is cheap imo, I opted not to get polished because I'm letting my nail beds breathe for a couple months before the summer months.I tipped $20.Anywho, a better job could've been done, at least the minimum of filing the nails evenly and cleaning up the cuticles.Besides that, things to note, it seems like they have a lot of long time regulars that really care about them. They are very sweet people, but they should definitely work on doing more quality work, meaning, at least doing the minimum. Which I would've been completely fine with giving 5 stars for. But seeing my hands and feet after, I definitely won't be coming back again.I'm wondering if the other technicians are better?Besides that, it's really affordable in today's market of mani+pedi but that means you're getting less than minimum of a clean up.
