There is an older white lady who apparently is a manager following my aunt around the store the entire time she was there. My aunt asked the lady who was following her about a certain color, if they had it or not and the lady responded with " if it's not on the shelves we don't have it. If you can't find what you're looking for you can leave." My aunt is an older Hispanic woman who means absolutely no harm and has absolutely no interest in stealing!! My aunt always comes here and this is not the first time she gets followed around this store by the same person. Upon checkout, she was being helped by a cashier and the "manager" rushed up and insisted on "helping" her. She refused to give her the discount for the coupon my aunt had and she ended up paying full price after some words were exchanged between them. She still purchased from this store. I don't understand what she has against her but is but as a "manager" you should not make people feel discriminated against and much less uncomfortable upon coming into the store. My aunt is an older Hispanic women with no interest in causing any harm whatsoever. Absolutely disgusting customer service from this woman.

My mother and I always go to stock up in on cricut vinyl and other stuff. Their is one worker she is the manager. She is and old white lady. Everytime we go she follows my mom and I. She is so disrespectful to us. Today 2/3/24 my mother went to buy more vinyl and she started following her everywhere she was going and being disrespectful. My mom asked her if they had more of a vinyl color that she needed and the lady said " no, whatever is in the shelves it what's left and if you can't find it then you can leave". My mom bought another one that was close to the color she needed and she was checking out and the lady rushed to the front to check her out when someone else was already helping her. The lady didn't want to give my mom the full discount that it said and only gave her a partial. My mom ended buying it cause she needed it. my mom is the sweetest person and we feel discriminated everytime we go to that store by that lady. Disgusting customer service and she gives a strong sense of discrimination.

The manager was ride to me. I'm a cancer patient and I had my friend pick up some stabilizer 20 yards. They gave her 5 yards. When I called to tell them they short one 15 yards. Her reply was why didn't you pick it up yourself. This is un called for. When my friend went back to pick up the remainder of item. She was rude and didn't want to discuss it. No wonder they are going out of business. I live shopping at Joann's. Never have we had such a rude employee there.

They close the lanes that people pacifically come in for, because they’re stocking them isn’t that why ? at least move the the boxes so that customers can get into the aisle I don’t understand but it’s OK , lost sales for them.

I drove a long way to get to JoAnns fabric store and they were 10 minutes late opening. I picked out my fabric, sewing supplies and sewing case and had to use the restroom. The line to get my fabric was long so I asked an associate where the restroom was. She said it's out of order. I asked her where they go to the restroom and she said we have an employees restroom. I said well let me use that one. I am disabled. I can't run down to another store. She still refused. I left 60.00 worth of sewing supplies there and went to Walmart where I used the restroom and got my supplies 10.00 cheaper. Never again will I go to JoAnns.

I usually like this place, but the girl working there, right at this moment, was not very nice. She wouldn't acknowledge me.Then I went to buy this mirrored sticker material. It was messed up on both ends, I said. Can't you give me a discount for it? She said well I'm already throwing in one side that was messed up. I pointed out that the other side was messed up too. So she told me, "How about I just cut them both off and throw them away? How about that?" And charge me normal price. She was extremely rude she was too busy doing something else and did not wanna help me. She made my experience not very fun.

Joann is so rude on the phone! Usually the nicest people work here but the last few times the workers have been so rude. They also don't put their stock out, so when the website says its in stock at the store and you go there and it's out of stock, it's probably in back and they're going to make you wait 3 days to pull it out.

If I could leave a 0 star review for the woman named Joann there I would. I called to check on a pick-up order that I had placed the night before that said it was ready for pick-up. I had placed an order for 2 T-shirts and it looked like only 1 had actually been on the order and they possibly had 1 still in stock so before driving out there I thought I would give a call to see if they had that 1 more in stock since it would be a 25 min drive there or to cancel my order. She started the phone call out rudely saying she couldn't help me look for the shirt in the store because they had a call out this morning, so I nicely asked if she could take my number down and if/when it slowed down if she could check and give me a call back. Yelled at me 3x for my phone number as I was trying to provide it to her and I said if it helps here's my name from the order and I would be looking for one more of the shirt I ordered and she told me that would help her 0. Then proceeded to tell me after that my order was cancelled anyways, in which it wasn't it told me that it was ready to pick-up. I have never felt like I have been spoken to so rudely by an employee working at any store like this in my life. I am very understanding and know what it's like when a place of work is understaffed, but that should never excuse you to talk to customers the way Joann did.

I am a crochet, sewing machine individual. I see things in there that mom's can throw together, for little girls especially during holidays. There's everything you need in there, for what I need, if not in store, then online. They have àlot of fun things to work with and customize your clothes with different buttons, patches, and go check this place out, ITS FUN!! TQ

I've been to quite a few Joann locations across several states and the Reno location is by far the worst. The aisles are very poorly managed and are often unorganized, but more commonly, shelves are bare for weeks and weeks. Worst of all, there are never any employees around when you need help. It is clear that they are short staffed but at the same time, it doesn't seem like management is doing anything to improve customer service. I often have to walk to the fabric counter to find someone and those employees are already busy helping customers with their fabric orders. The line to checkout usually takes forever to go through, even when there aren't many people in line. I blame their system more than their employees. I've tried to bypass the in-person line by ordering online for in-store pick up, but that doesn't solve anything. You either need to wait in the same line to pick up your order or do curbside pickup, which takes even longer than just waiting in line. Joann has been my go-to store for years, but this Reno location is not great. I have been shopping at Michael's more often since the selection and customer service there is much better.

Good selection of yarn, which is why I stop by but prices aren't anything special, nor are their sales. This store in particular is always messy and disorganized, you can find the same type of item in multiple places throughout the store. Management is terrible. A customer at checkout was being a pain w/pricing, etc and taking forever. The single cashier called the manager (?) up to help him and she told him what to do and went back to unpacking boxes instead of staying to checkout the other 4 customers waiting in line. Get your priorities straight :)
