The best latte in town. Not to mention the desserts that are fresh and oh so tasty. My go to for birthday cakes! And lunch.

The service was good. The food was great. The portion sizes were big. We got the savory crepe, French toast, and eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious. We got some bakery items to go for the next morning and they were delicious as well.

What a disappointment, the truth is, we waited 30 minutes for them to take our order and from there some Americans arrived. These women who served us didn't make them wait but not even 5 minutes, so they have to serve everyone equally. It's a Latin restaurant. I don't see the difference. ?? ♀️??♀️well that service is terrible ?

Great breakfast. Party selections are incredible. Established and local favorite. Great omelets.

I am dubbing Reno as Little Vienna. Instead of the Danube River they have the Truckee River running through downtown and every restaurant seems to have a Wienerschnitzel on the menu. For those unfamiliar. Wiener is German for Vienna. We stopped in to grab some breakfast on our way out of town based on some recommendations on Reddit. They didn't have a wide variety of Austrian food. Only Bratwurst, Goulasch and a Wienerschnitzel, but they did have all of the diner standards. We ended up ordering a Wienerschnitzel, the corned beef and hash and a sticky bun. All were tasty and came in large portions. Our server was quick to take our order and was always around to refill our coffee even though the restaurant was full and busy. I'd recommend Josef's for anyone looking for a filling and tasty breakfast or lunch. It's no frills and all thrills.

Nice spring break day for lunch with a friend! My first time here so checked out the menu ahead of time so I'd know what to order. Got there about 1130 so plenty of seating available. Our waitress came quickly to take our drink orders. My friend wanted iced tea but was told they didn't have any. I pointed out a berry iced tea on the menu and our waitress said they don't have any. Strange they serve hot tea but not iced?? Anyways we ordered water instead. I ordered a BLT on sourdough which came with a side salad. My friend ordered tomato bisque with a half grilled ham and Brie sandwich. Our order came fairly soon but enough time for us to talk and catch up. We were both happy with our meals. My salad was a good sized portion and her soup was very good she said with croutons. You get a cookie with your meal which I saved for later and took home half my sandwich. We checked out the beautiful desserts and each took some home! They have a very nice breakfast menu also, maybe next time!

Edit as if 3-24-24; ????? What happened? My husband and I each got a waffle combo and the waffles were soggy and smaller than usual as if they switched the iron. Husband asked for cornbread hash and was given sausage w/ soft chucks of potato? This was not hash. $8 for 2 bites if inedible food. $3.50 for a cup of coffee? Prices have really gone up. Was thoroughly disappointed especially since this was my husband's first time...................old review ;Their French toast is something else. Made with bagettes. It's thick and surprisingly soft . Very very filling. I'm a larger person and I couldn't finish the plate.

I have bought pastries from Joseph's for years. But I believe since he has pasted and the new owners have take over it is by no means as good. While in town on business I bought several Danish and a couple of desserts. When I had my meeting with my clients I was appoled at finding that the cinnamon twist was so hard, and it tasted stale. The worst part was when my client was eating the strawberry/blueberry Danish and she noticed mold all over the berries. This will be the last time we will buy here. I guess the new owners never learned from Joseph. Thank God we have a new bakery in south Reno!

3/20/2024- Ordered a custom cake a few days ago.. Really wanted a chocolate cake with whip cream and chocolate shavings, but they only can do certain standard cakes.. Picked up on time and for the price the cake was really good. Nice and light and not too sweet... Bakery always has nice supply of yummy goodies..

Awesome service, I've been here several times and the menu is almost always worth it. The atmosphere here is great and quaint, nothing like getting a nice pastry with breakfast!

A friend and I had a great lunch there a few weeks ago. But whenever I’m there, it’s a must to take back home a few goodies from the bakery for the family. There is not a better bake shop in all of Reno!

I love their lobster Benedict. It's reasonably priced the potatoes are good and it comes with a little Mini scone. Must have it twice a month. Highly recommend!
