Caring, patient staff, and a clean facility. Our dog is losing weight, and we are in frequent contact trying to get her on a good diet for her symptoms. Dr. Champagne, Ashlyn, Cameron, and Jasmine on the front counter have been very helpful, as have the rest of the front counter staff.

While dog sitting, the dog we were caretaking tore a nail Kings row was listed as the vet. When calling to let the vet know we had an emergency, and after going through a full minute recording explaining limited hours due to understaffing, we were told that they would not see the animal. They are appointment only. There was Zero concern for the animal. No recommendations of care (I asked), no referral to an emergency care vet (I asked), no compassion what so ever (not even a hint of concern) they barely listened to the description of the emergency. Just no, we are appointment only. If this is indicative of the actual “care” they give…. I would steer clear.

Took our very sick puppy in on a Wednesday morning on an emergency basis. They ran tests, took x-rays, did blood work, a fecal test, and a parvo test. The parvo test came back positive but they said that seeing he had just had a DHPP vaccine, it would show a positive result. They said the issue was the worm load he had. The vet we saw was off the next 2 days, but said if he got worse to bring him back in. Come Friday morning he was worse, so at 0800 we brought him back in. He was critical at this point and they refused to see us, an established patient, because "they were too busy". Talk about malpractice. We then took him to Animal Emergency where they retested him for parvo, and he again came up positive. I told them what Kings Row had said about it was positive because of the shot. Animal Emergency said the parvo test DOES NOT show positive because of a shot. So, Kings Row doesn't even understand the science of the tests they give. Very disturbing. So we lost two days of treatment time because of Kings Row incompetence. Avoid at all costs!!!!! We are hoping our puppy survives after the medical malpractice at Kings Row.

I will no longer be taking my pets to this establishment. I have thoroughly enjoyed the care my pets received and the customer service I had encountered up till now. I was used to receiving the annual vaccine reminder and just so happened to be cleaning out my filing cabinet when I noticed my cats' vaccinations were overdue by less than a month so I rang up Kings Row Pet Hospital to get them scheduled. I was told that even though it was their fault for not getting the reminder out (due to issues with the USPS...) that my cats were "extremely" overdue for their vaccines and that they would have to charge me extra. After some back and forth about other options like titers (quoted an absurd $500) and 3 year vaccines (insisted on annual), I will be taking both of my cats for the 3 year rabies and FVRCP vaccines for cats from the SPCA vaccine clinic for the affordable price of $80 for all two cats and four vaccines. If something is in part due to the fault of the business and a customer is not a year but less than a month overdue for their pets vaccines, you could have the courtesy to accept part of the blame and offer the vaccines for the usual rate. Modern research shows these vaccines are effective for several years and the general pet medical community has agreed that 3 year intervals are better for pets health and just as effective as 1 year intervals, though not as lucrative.Thank you Kings Row Pet Hospital for serving my pets well while you did but this was a touch too much for me.

Gypsum loved her first trip to an actual vet! All the office ladies were so nice and helpful plus they were on top of everything, even with how many calls they were constantly receiving. We are so lucky they managed to squeeze us in a canceled appointment because it was going to take 4 weeks everywhere else. I feel safe bringing my best pal over here and you will too!
