Such lethargy! Que huevonada! Decent job low energy in that place. Prices went up $30 + $10 tip = $40 for 15 min haircut. Lol. Such low energy in there. Almost (like they are forced to be there) and dread cutting your hair. Nice overall. Overpriced for quick low fade.

I've been a customer of Luptia's for over 10 years. She cuts my hair, waxes my eyebrows and stash! Never had an issue, everyone seems nice and I'm always leave happy!

Would not recommend. Getting my haircut on a short notice is nice as they take walk-ins, not too difficult to explain the type of cut you want as long as you are descriptive. However the catch is the quality from the haircut and the owner herself.
I went over the cut and discussed what kind would be appropriate, upon the end of the service was where things began to get messy. I noticed how my hair was a bit asymmetrical and uneven in size so I requested to trim a bit more on my uneven side. As I called down the person I went with here with, she inspected the back of my hair to make sure it looks nice. Unfortunately after this is where I don’t support this type of business.
The lady mentioned to the stylist about what seems to be off in my cut, to which the owner responded for the stylist?? Stating the cut would be charged another 18$ because it is difficult to trim down and it is essentially cutting again? I simply asked for a trim and we resumed fixing/touching up the rest of my cut.
PARENTS!!!! This part is important - Apparently to the owner she no longer allows you to stand for even a minute watching the last part of the cut. As the owner stated to the lady I came with, “Please return back to your seat, we will call you when the cut is finished, I no longer allow people in this area anymore.” And all she was doing was talking to the stylist and wanted to see the last part of the touch up which does not take even 3 minutes.
Overall I understand the situation with constant walk-ins and influx of guests ranging from calm to stressful. But if the owner has to speak for someone else and to state how her business runs to two guests wanting to get a proper cut without allowing the stylist to speak for herself; then perhaps it would be better to take a step back and rethink of how to run a professional salon.
Parents coming to get a cut here for their children would not recommend.
Those understanding what kind of cut they want beforehand I would say be warned.
Everyone else going in last minute just to get a cut, just watch out if you are not satisfied with it at first because you might get charged for ‘another cut’. I don’t make the rules.?♂️

I really enjoy how nice everybody was. The lady who cut my hair made me peaceful. I will for sure get haircuts here now

I’ve been going to Lupitas for years and it is mainly because I grew up going here and just loving the experience. Over the years you can tell the place has really declined. It’s gross there, no dusting gets done, the ceiling is stained with water marks and it’s outdated. I will never come here again. I told the lady I wanted long layers, then she proceeded to ask if I wanted them rounded or in a v shape. I said that I wanted a v shape. My hair was about 4inches from my waist. Her first cut was about in the middle of my hair. My heart sank and I said nothing because I’m not that kind of person. It took my very long to get to the length I was and I couldn’t help but silently cry. The lady noticed and immediately dismissed me saying that the length was the same. I understand that but I had mentioned long layers. Lupita the owner then got involved and also became dismissive. I speak English and Spanish and the hair dresser only spoke Spanish. I’m Spanish Lupita kept implying that I was saying that i didn’t understand the lady and she gave me what I asked for…. When bottom line it was a misunderstanding on both our ends. It was pretty disgusting the way Lupita, the owner handled the situation. Regardless I was the client and unhappy with my hair cut. I got no apology I was clearly updating and crying. All I was told was that hair grows back and I was wrong. Clearly, this is what holds the company back if they have one location and can’t even hire someone to do some dusting.
