This Moana Nursery location is by far my favorite! They are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable! They can help guide you on correct soil for starting a garden to helping you with sick plants. The store has super cute decorations and everything you need! The staff here is amazing!

The best thing about Moana is the friendly, kind, and knowledgeable staff. The locally grown, perfect for Northern Nevada, plant selection is also top notch. They have a wide selection and great sales.

Fantastic arrangement!!! Couldn't be happier! Timely delivery! The only thing is plant food would've been helpful however flowers themselves are gorgeous and a big hit! Would order from here again!!!

Ordered these flowers for my mom's birthday and did the deluxe florist choice. I've gotten nicer arrangements off of Instacart. The flowers were crushed and plain and the service was confusing, misleading and all together a huge hassle. Expensive and a huge waste of time. Will never buy anything from them again.

I have bought houseplants here for years and still frequent their wonderful greenhouse. This past year I've experienced that houseplant quality has really gone downhill. I've seen many damaged and apparently neglected plants here, still at a premium price. It's disappointing because the boutique section has a huge selection of unique and gorgeous gifts, and the outdoor nursery is wonderful. I hope that the problem with the houseplants is remedied soon.

I had such a great experience going here. Their green house is full of amazing plants that have tags on them to help you determine their needs/care, which is extremely helpful for someone with a black thumb and low light apartment looking to bring some life into their home. I could easily navigate what I should/shouldn’t buy on my own by just wandering through. They have incredibly knowledgeable employees who care about what they are sending you home with, at check out I got a great debrief on what to do and what not to do with the plant I was purchasing. I got lost for hours in here with the variety of what they offer, from their retail space to the botany and wildlife care. From what their employees told me they also offer full landscaping services and given my experience I would absolutely trust them. They are honest, caring, and knowledgeable. They have every intention to fit their products to your lifestyle, which is very important in the plant world! A fantastic local business to support.

This is the place to go for plants in Reno/Tahoe. The staff is so friendly here. Jeanine was able to help me pick out a huge order of houseplants and my cashier, Chris, did an amazing job ringing everything up and taking care of me. He seriously went above and beyond on my order, I can't thank him enough for his customer service.

I love Moana Nursery, and the reason why changes with the seasons! In the fall, their pumpkin selection can't be beat -- a whole variety of colors and sizes for unbeatable prices, plus they have hay bales, gourds and other fall decorations you might need. In the winter, the indoor shop is a winter wonderland with cute gifts, ornaments and should be your go-to spot to grab a poinsettia or two. In the spring and summer, the outdoor section comes alive and it stocked to the brim with flowers, veggies, fruits etc, and you can even get ladybugs and worms for your garden. Pro Tip #1 - sign up for the reward program. It's totally free, and you'll get notified of all their specials, of which there are many! Pro Tip #2 - take advantage of their "free thing" each season. Sometimes it's hummingbird nectar, sometimes it's food for the ducks at Virginia Lake, and right now it's seed for Chickadee Ridge! My favorite part though is their indoor plant selection. I am a certified crazy plant lady and there's always something new I want to buy. Pro Tip #3 -- if you buy a plant and pot there, you can use their free potting station to make sure it gets set up in the perfect soil. They truly have everything you could want, super (like, outrageously) helpful staff and is my go to garden center in Reno!

I’m sorry but I would never recommend going through this business for Flowers. A month ago co-worker of mines brother passed away . This was a big deal at my deal being that we all knew her as well as her brother. So I collected money from co-workers to pitch in a buy a beautiful bouquet of flowers for her loss. I contacted Moana Nursery being that we found the bouquet online that we all liked and pitched in money on as far as the cost for this specific bouquet. I called for days with no response. Then I finally got through to an employee through phone call . Unfortunately this company only has one florist for their multiple locations . The florist is the only person who makes the special bouquets . The florist also was not at the location I was calling so the employee transferred me over to the correct store to speak with the Florist. Another employee answered the phone , and trying putting me through with the florist as well . I left many voicemails and called even more times . I really wanted to go through this company because once again I had the money of other people who wanted a specific bouquet of flowers for our co-worker. Days go by the Florist named Alex calls me back but unfortunately I was on another call speaking with his co-worker so Alex left me a voicemail. The voicemail was to me very rude . He went on to say that he hasn’t returned my calls because he is very busy (which is understandable) with other important customers like weddings , funerals , birthdays etc. And he wouldn’t be able to take or make my order for the weekend. This was upsetting because if he would’ve spoken with me he would’ve known that it was no rush for the order being that our co-worker would be out of work grieving for awhile . I tried calling again but still no answer so I finally gave up and went to Sparks Florist. They were nice , quick, empathetic , fast and reasonable. I would definitely go there instead . Moana Nursery seems to not be professional, empathetic, or concerned about their customers. This is just my opinion from my experience. I would NOT RECOMMEND!

Love Moana nursery and definitely felt like fall going here to check out their sale. $1.99 regular pumpkins was enough to entice us!! Also specialty pumpkins, plants and gourds on sale. I ordered 3 and a half yards of gravel and received 2. I know I've had 3 rock people come over look at my pile and one guy doesn't even think I've got quite 2 yd. I paid $635 that includes delivery for the rock and I got ripped off by moana rock. My neighbor worked in the mines for 40 years he loaded the trucks he looked at the load they dropped off in my driveway and just started laughing and says you really got ripped off. They won't fix there mistake because they know it will cost them too much money to fix it. I'll never use you guys again and everybody that sees my thread that I have out there on the internet has said the same thing. All you had to do was fix your mistake.

What a beautiful nursery! The selection of plants is more diverse than Lowes and Home Depot. The employees are very friendly and helpful. There is actually a Plant Doctor at their Moana location. For someone like me that struggles keeping plants alive, I will be utilizing this service. There is also a gift center with garden and holiday decorations. While I was there they were putting out Halloween decorations. Can't wait to see what they'll have for Christmas! They currently have a sale on their plants. The Perennials are buy one get one free. There are 3 locations: So Virginia, Moana and Pyramid.
