Mountain America Credit Union in Reno, NV, gave me credit when no one else would. I was making my way back to great credit scores, but hadn't at the time I needed them to finance my new car in 2018. THANK YOU SO MUCH MACU and all of your employees who are the greatest. I will always praise MACU to whomever I come in contact with.

I am using the Damonte branch office. I was leaving my bank in Southern California and picked Mountain America to move every thing,'In a short period of time I had my checking and Saving set up in one visit, That included getting debit card and credit card.I then decided to move my loan on my wife's car from BofA as well, more for convince.But i even ended up saving money by getting a lower interest and they did all the leg work for me.Will the manager and his staff are all great, you want good service and a great place to bank that is full service this is the place.I even decided to start a trust for the family here.

Jan 2023 Update: I'm still receiving fantastic service from this branch, years after my original review. Thanks everyone!I have been here quite a few times, and has always been a flawless experience. I have never had any trouble with anyone here. They also have a coin machine, which is free for members, or takes 6% if you are not a member.

Been banking with MACU for about 5 years. They are always courteous (so. Reno) BUT MACU occasionally changes policies/fees. Most recently they changed the rules for checking. I saw a random "withdraw" on my acct. Had to call to find out it was actually a NEW fee. Despite having lots of money in CDs, money market and savings they are now requiring a larger checking balance - changed the rules in the middle of the game!

Opened a joint account w/ my daughter to establish credit prior to her military deployment. Despite specific requests to ensure that our accounts were linked and that transactional notifications would be given to me so I could manage the account in her absence ... the account was misconfigured and a small transaction resulted both late fees and negative credit reporting for both of us.In the process of trying to rectify this issue I was hung up on, blind transferred and spent over 2 hours on the phone before reaching a dept that could initiate the credit dispute process which will likely take months to complete.If / when this issue is resolved, I will amend this review accordingly.

The app is complete garbage. Try to add an account so my wife can get home using the card she has. But for some reason there is an issue that will be resolved in a few days. Wtf. Tried calling and that f****** recording came on that asks you 3 times if it can help. No, I want to talk to a damn person. Glad im in the process of shutting this account down. Garbage a** customer service.

I came in to get info on a HELOC. Met with Bryan the Assistant Manager. I felt very welcome and appreciated from the start. Bryan explained everything in detail and inquired about any questions that I might have. I emailed the necessary docs when I got home. Quick follow up appointment a couple of days later. Approved and funded super fast! They gave me a great intro rate too! I'm a huge fan and will definitely work with them again on future banking. Go here- you won't regret it!
