I DON'T recommend this business because it further FAILED to address my complaint. After our previous bad experience with Nevada State Bank, we appropriately escalated our complaint to the manager's boss. So, we went back to the Sparks branch where there we met a man who now claimed he was the manager when we said we were following up on a complaint. He immediately became defensive and rapidly escalated into strange then rude. He then refused to give us name or his boss' name. We recently discovered that Kathleen Sparks is the VP Retail Market Sales Manager at Nevada State Bank. We left a message for her via the Sparks branch. No response. We left another message, this one via the Moana branch. Again, no response. We give up. Clearly Nevada State Bank doesn't want our business. Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy - happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become customers and then repeat customers.

Aundria was super helpful with getting me the right paperwork after there was fraud on my account, in addition to a savings account set up.

Been doing business banking with Nevada State Bank for a little under a year. Biggest mistake I've made in a bit. Nothing but problems. Every single time I've been into the bank there's been a problem. Not only with me but someone else is always at another window complaining about something. Every time! One particular problem was the outside ATM had an error and didn't record the $2000 I was depositing. I made a dispute and waited for the results. They then attempted to short me $300. But I kept disputing their error. And was finally reimbursed my money. Just the fact that they tried to short me money was crazy. Their online banking is a joke. It's constantly down. It has kicked me off with the correct passwords and correct info. They also can't give you temporary checks at their main branch. THEIR MAIN BRANCH! They charge so much in fees. I'm stuck as of now having my money in this bank but will be changing soon. In response to your reply Sandi. No thanks. After so many of the same complaints it's clear you guys don't plan on changing for the better.

Absolutely horrible. The atm is out of service 9 times out of 10. The people that work customer service are as inept as they come. Somehow they always seem to do a horrendous job every time.

Terrible service, I came on Monday because they do not open Saturday and Sunday I come to make two deposits which made an amount of $ 2040 they did not want to take it because they have their rule that they cannot take more than $ 2000, but there they do not have a sign where they specify that they cannot take more than 2k, the only sign is the one that says that a maximum of three transactions per car even mine were two but because they spent $ 40 more than 2000 they did not catch me the drive thru service is lousy you have to wait so long So that they take care of you and when they do it they are terrible I would like a copy of your service policy since I think the way this lady was ridiculous, it seems that she does not like her work bad costumer service

This is the 3rd time in a row that I’ve come through the drive through and had to wait 15 minutes before anybody helped me. There were no customers inside the bank all three times.

I've been a member of NSB for many years and thought they could help me cash a check that was made out to my deceased mom and myself. I provided the death certificate (where my name is posted as executor) and they said that it would most "likely" be reviewed by the "back office" and it could take a couple of weeks and it most likely would not be cashed or deposited and would be returned back to me?? Its hard enough dealing with a parents death. let alone having the bank you trust not trust you. I simply went to the CREDIT UNION I use and they deposited it to my account with ZERO questions asked and they actually said condolences for the loss of my mom. Very disappointed in NSB:(

UPDATED REVIEW: Another Christmas and another year of being ignored and getting no help. For the last three weeks, it has been impossible to reach any of the NSB branches in Reno/Sparks via telephone. You may ask, "Why don't you go down there?" Well, three weeks ago, I called them over and over again to get help, only to not hear back. Upon going to the Liberty Branch, I was told, quite rudely, "Well sorry ma'am I guess you should have called first so you could make an appointment. We can help you with this issue without an appointment." I had, many times. When I explained that I had called; and that, after many tries, I spoken with a man who said that the Liberty Branch could help me with this issue. Only then, was I told that all of the Reno/Sparks Branches are currently having their phones routed through Las Vegas. Finally an answer. The employees explained that the Las Vegas employees aren't bothering to answer the phones and they are giving our false information. Well, this may be a reason to change the strategy. Flash forward to this week. I've been trying to reach an NSB Branch in Reno and Sparks. I just needed help with some issues, so that I could avoid an over draft fee. This week I called the branches: Liberty, Sparks/Prater, and Moana multiple times. I left voicemails with each branch and I was assured by the 3rd party phone person (Las Vegas NSB employees and/or NSB Call Center Employees) that I would hear back. Each day I'd call twice, leave a voicemail twice, and not hear back. Today was the last day, sure enough, no call and... sure enough, over draft fee. I went to the Liberty Branch to press my luck. Only to see it was closed at 12:00 pm, this information was not present online. Furthermore, the rest of the branches closed at 3:00 pm, again no information stating this online. I had to wait for breaks at work so I could visit the locations. They were each closed upon my arrival. I wanted to avoid a fee. These are hard times. This is the Holiday Season and the year Covid; many of us have been hurt by this financially. And avoided fee would help me a lot. NSB has made no effort to help me. The Call Center Reps do what they can, but this is an issue that can only be fixed by a branch. And, though I tried very hard to fix it, I will have to pay this fee. You may thing that a "smaller" bank will treat you like a person. I've been treated like a number, a slight irritating presence, and like a ghost. I'm so tired.

I am treated like a criminal anytime I step foot in this bank even though my family's trust fund has been set up through them for decades.

I went here to ask for a new Debit Card and to ask that they cancel my existing card. They proceeded to cancel the incorrect card--they cancelled by ONLY OTHER CARD (aka my Visa through them) and left me without either card days before Christmas. NSB (this Branch and their Help Line) promised me that they could fix it and, at the very least, un-cancel my credit card. They couldn't help and made no attempts to make up for it. Worst time of the year for this to happen.

The only reason I gave this one star is because there is nothing lower. I received a $175 NSF charge that came out of the blue. I went to the bank to complain so they walked back my transactions. I get paid via direct deposit on Thursday & it usually posts shortly after midnight on Thurs AM. Well, last week it was a little late, and four PENDING charges showed up a little before my check did. Note, these charges were PENDING, they hadn't really posted yet. But some slimy cow of a management person told me that they charged me AS IF they HAD posted! I was told that IF they had posted THEN I would have been overdrawn, so I was charged for items that weren't even posted! And when I said I had had enough of that kind of nonsense & would take my banking elsewhere this same cow acted like she was glad to see me go. Well, go I will, and there isn't enough vitriol in the world to express how much ill I wish on that "institution".

Just moved from Las Vegas. Been with Nevada state bank for some time. Bought my house with them as well. My first visit I sat in the chairs waiting for help for 20 min (no one at any of the desks) and not a single person said a word to me before I finally gave up. Today I tried again. One person was helping someone setup an account so I stood to the side rather than sitting in the chairs to respect her privacy since the chairs are too close to that desk. I waited for over an hour. That customer finally left and I walked forward waiting for him to acknowledge me. Another customer walked in at the same time and he ignored me all together and helped her. I gave up. It was not a busy day. There were no people waiting. And plenty of employees. I'm beyond disappointed.
