Terrible experience. Went to get my acrylic nails removed. A service that I have had done in multiple salons throughout Reno costing between $10-$12. I called in advance to ask for pricing they said $15. I thought okay, it’ll save me time from going where I usually go which is about a 20 minute drive from my house since I got off work at 5:30 and most places close at 7. Party Nails is close to where I live so I thought I’d give them a try. I go and the first thing the nail tech tries to do is remove the acrylics by shoving another plastic nail underneath and ripping them off one by one. After expressing that it was painful and I asked if she could file them off she angrily agreed. This is the only way I’ve ever had my acrylics removed, by soaking, and filing repeatedly. It’s the best option, doesn’t damage my nails and isn’t painful. She disagreed, and went as far as to say that every other salon I’ve been to is “stupid” for taking my nails off this way.. hmm could it really be worse than ripping each of my nails off one by one drawing blood? I could’ve done that at home! She angrily continued to file and every time they would soak she would throw the white towel on my arms, resulting in an absurd amount of nail shavings all over my sweater sleeves. This was very obviously intentional as she did it over and over again. Finally towards the end, an hour and 15 minutes later she says it’ll actually be $20. I quickly questioned her, what do you mean $20? And she said yep this is taking too long. I’m sorry? It’s not my fault that every time my nails would soak you’d run off to do something else? I’ve never had my nails have to soak as long as they did here. Not to mention the constant gossiping. Unprofessional and a huge lack of care for the actual nails. I get this is how you get paid but value a customer and at least do the bare minimum to not make their nails look worse than when they got there. She also barely filed my nails to shape them, she didn’t clean up my cuticles and DIDN’T even brush all the nail powder off me!!! So yeah, $20 for something that normally takes 30 minutes, without any care for the nail after removing the acrylics. Like any other decent salon would do. Sad.

Nice people but the wait time was way too long, I had to pay $80 for a “deluxe” pedicure with one small cup of warm wine that I had to pay $15 for. . I sat in that chair two hours with my feet in cold water. That was insane. Never been charged that much for a pedicure in my life ? and the water was cold. Never offered to refill my glass of wine, I usually walk out and have a pedi, fill for $80. Won’t be going back. I sat here for almost 3 hours.

Barely a week and already the polish was chipping off when I called to inquire as to what they would do,? I was told to come back in and pay for another pedicure maybe it’ll last longer!?! Then she proceeded to tell me it was because I must have gone to the river or lake. As a retired nail tech all I can say is WOW! I have never had polish chip off so fat in my entire life! Do not recommend, save your hard earned money and spend it somewhere that stands behind their work!!!Service: Pedicure

Not even a week with my acrylics and they're falling off. I've been taking care of them, and since these were my first set, I've been very careful with them too. My natural nails hurt so bad, I'm going to have to take them off myself. The woman who did them was very aggressive and hurt me multiple times while filing them down. She also messed up my request, which was a simple French tip. The polish doesn't go all the way to the edge of the nail, and it is painfully obvious. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly would not go here again myself.Service: Acrylic nails

Rude rude rude and super unprofessional. I just walked in there and the lady with her mask on mumbled under her mask, “we’re busy right now, we can’t take you.” And that’s fine but She didn’t even make eye contact or look at me for a second. I couldn’t figure out who was talking and barely was acknowledged. I work in customer service and that’s not how you treat someone who’s seeking your service. Also 2 months an ago the acrylic nail I got done from this place on my right ring finger flew off after 2 days. The older lady who did my nail talked and gossiped about how she did not like the boss there bc she didn’t let the workers pick up their phones at all even for a second. To me that was also unprofessional for the staff to talk about the manager but obviously this speaks volume about how disorganize, rude and chaotic this place is. Customer service is horrible and I hope they work on it b4 they start to lose all their customers to their competitor right next to them.

The claim they do a bunch of services on their description in Google Maps, but half of them are not true. My friend was going to just do a foot massage while I got my nails done, but they claimed they don’t do just foot massages. In addition, they are very pricy, a few of the employees had attitude, and I’ve had better nails done by other nail salons (although my nails were still a solid 7/10 from this place).

First time customer, and absolutely loved my experience. They sat me as soon as I arrived, and were very friendly. Victoria was so sweet and paid such attention to detail, and made sure to take care of my natural nails. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The ladies here are fabulous. Awesome customer service always! They are very friendly and always willing to try the designs i bring in. If they cant do the designs i ask for, we alway come to a mutual design im happy with. Emily did my last set and she made sure that I was happy with my nails during every step of the process. I'm a very happy customer and will return every time!

I was going here for a few months for acrylic fills. My nails always looked really nice and lasted weeks, which is saying a lot because I work a manual labor job. Never had any lifting, chipping, etc. However, I finally decided to take my nails off and WOW were they difficult to remove. Several 100% acetone soaks barely made a dent, even after I'd filed away a good bit of the nail. The nails were gooey and sticky as well, which is a telltale sign of MMA... For those who don't know, MMA is an illegal type of acrylic monomer commonly used in chop shops. I also had horrendous fill lines (see photo). They stretch all the way up my nail as I've been getting fills for months. After some research it appears these are called "rings of fire" and are caused by the nail tech over filing your nail. They are red and very deep in my nail. I'm disappointed because my natural nails are irreparably damaged from improper acrylic application and all I can do now is wait for them to grow past the damage. I've tried a lot of different nail salons in Reno and time and time again I am seeing salons value money and speediness over concern for the health of your natural nails. Ladies, just stop going to salons like this and find an independent tech. I can't speak to party nails' other services. This was just my personal experience with acrylic fills.
